The property is set in a quiet cove and has beautiful views of the lake. We especially enjoyed the screened porch. The house was very clean and nicely supplied with almost everything we needed. There is a great grocery store a short drive away. Our stay exceeded all of our expectations.

We had a great weekend. Very relaxing and had everything you could need.

I fell in love with this house as soon as I pulled in the driveway. I text the owner to let him know I arrived, he responded right away, and everything was perfect. This was the best vacation property I’ve ever stayed at.

Our family of 4 adults stayed at this lovely property. Everything is as it is in the photos. Best stocked kitchen supplies I’ve had yet. Lots of space for all. The yard down to the lake is beautiful. Such a peaceful place! We kayaked, floated, and enjoyed it all. So close to the grocery store and places to eat. Mountain Creek Park is 8 minutes away. (Great pickleball courts) we will come to Lake Norman again! Thanks to Rick for being a great host!

The property was just exactly as it was listed. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the lake. The house is well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We especially loved sitting in the screened in porch and watching nature. The house is close to shopoing and dining. The host was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is amazing. A lake house like in the stories / in the movies. It’s private, large enough for our family of four, has anything you’d need. Don’t bother discover the neighborhood or things to do: just be in and around the water and calm yourself down at this perfect getaway!!

This was the perfect location for our family. We were looking for a place to spend a few days at the Lake where we could relax and enjoy lake life. This house was great. Location was wonderful. Close to shopping and restaurants. We loved being right on the lake and having the paddle board and kayaks. Perfect spot in the cove where there was not a lot of boat traffic. Thank you Rick for accommodating or schedule changes!

This lake house is clean, comfortable, well-equipped. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is a not comfortable queen bed ( should be a king) and a gas grill in bad condition.
The house is very nice, comfortably air conditioned even in very hot weather, has all kitchen and laundry appliances, complete kitchen ware.
There's a great dock with kayaks and paddle board.
The screen porch is a wonderful space at any time of day.
Rick is a very helpful, informative and responsive host.

Very nice property that is off the main part of the lake. Beautiful screened porch area with a view of the lake. Very relaxing. Available kayaks to use made the trip even better. Easy to find and only a short trip to restaurants and grocery.

This home felt very comfortable and well maintained. We were there for our daughter's graduation from UNC-Charlotte. It's not an easy commute, but, I prefer staying at the lake because I do not like how crowded Charlotte has become. The owner Rick responded promptly to any questions. We really enjoyed the screened in porch. The kitchen was adequately stocked with pots, pans and utensils. We do enjoy cooking while away, and although there is nothing like your own kitchen, we managed pretty well. The dock area was also nice and enjoyable. I did notice a kind of musty smell upon entering the home, and when we wiped the kitchen table, it looked as if it hadn't been done since the last guest. But, really, the important areas were definitely clean, like the kitchen sink and bathroom. Cozy, quiet and just what we needed.

We wanted a cozy cabin on the lake with a dock for our boat and SUP/kayaks to borrow, with comfy beds and a space for roasting marshmallows on a nice evening. This is exactly what we got, 100%, and we were very pleasantly received and surprised to find it so clean and full of everyday kitchen essentials! The owner is accessible, kind and helpful.

We stayed during Thanksgiving. The property is very well equipped with lots of items for what your needs my be. The cabinets were more than stocked, too much actually, lol. Ceiling fans are in all the main rooms, which we didn't know but loved. I read reviews stating the master bed is very uncomfortable. I'd hoped that had been replaced since there were several previous comments but it wasn't. It's very uncomfortable and I'm only 55 and in good shape. I woke up sore every morning. I highly suggest to add a box spring. The mattress sits on a box of some kind. A mattress topper or a new 12" foam mattress would be more comfortable.
The home is like grandmas house with convenience, homey but with some older furniture that gives it a quaint feel.
The water of course is a must to enjoy and escape to even if it's just to swing. We went out in the canoe and took our fishing poles and strolled in and out of coves. The weather couldn't have been more perfect.
Rick, our Host, was very helpful. He sent us some recommendations of Christmas events around different towns. We hope to return to this area in the near future.

Everything was perfect. Very clean well kept property. Even the dock was clear of bees nest and spider webs. Caught a few catfish off the dock. The house clean with plenty of room. Rick was very helpful. Can not wait to return next year.

Clean property with comfortable beds, great view of lake for those days you can't be outside, easy access to lake when you can. Very close to groceries and a good waterfront restaurant with an awesome steak and outdoor dining. (Landings?) New county park has hiking and biking trails, as well as pickleball courts. Could have used more cabinet space for groceries. Like most VRs there is a need to organize and purge excessive kitchen gadgets to free up space. No real need for 3 shelves of coffee mugs for a house with a capacity of 5, but a full set of measuring cups and spoons would be helpful. Plenty of instructions on hand for electronics and check out requirements are minimal. For those of you with allergies, owners seem careful not to allow animals that trigger them. I did not need to take allergy meds here. Personally found too far from City as the point of the trip was to visit with local family, who were originally going to overnight with us, but were no longer able to do so given unanticipated rescue of a puppy abandoned on highway. They had to do day trips with us visiting outdoors.

Perfect break from the summer heat
We just loved our stay at this lakeside house! The availability of kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle board had attracted me to this particular property but it offered so much more: The covered dock with chairs was lovely at any time of day, shaded lawn under huge trees offered a delightful change of location, great views of the lake, perfect swimming, and a house equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful hydrangeas in bloom, lots of fireflies at dusk, and a frequent breeze were added bonus! Hope to return next year!

So Relaxing!!
This was our 2nd visit, and both times have been wonderful! We enjoyed the lake and being able to use the kayaks, canoe and paddle board. Our kids loved all of the wildlife and found a sweet bird's nest too!

This property was super clean and all details were attended to. The huge screened porch was a great space. The covered dock had so many fun activities and we spent the majority of our time on the dock or on the water. This is a very quiet section of the lake where the only sounds you hear are made by birds and crickets. Rick was a great communicator and he keeps his property well-stocked with games, books, and water toys. The information in his “notebook” is very detailed, and so helpful if you’re new to the area. We left the world behind and benefitted from lake therapy!

We loved our stay at Lake Norman. The weather wasn't conducive to much lake activity, but we loved looking out at the lake and having a place to land while we were there for our niece's graduation.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay at the lake house. Canoed and fished and grilled out amid wonderful natural setting. The porch swing on the dock with the lake view was a favorite spot as well as the large beautiful screened in porch at night. Exactly as advertised and would stay again when in area!

Would highly recommend this property to those who enjoy being on the lake, but also for those who simply want to enjoy the view!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Lake Norman. There’s plenty of little towns surrounding the lake to explore and Rick‘s property is a perfect location to get to each one in a short drive. We caught a lot of fish off the dock which was the primary reason we came. Rick is an amazing host and the property was absolutely beautiful. He has it so carefully landscaped with walking paths, a large green yard for playing bocce ball, croquet, or tossing a ball. There are plenty of places to sit outside whether you prefer shade or sun. The inside of the house is just as it’s represented and has everything you need for a simple relaxing vacation. His description of the house is accurate.
Communicating with Rick is a breeze. He is quick to respond and very accommodating. The view from the house and the yard is the number one selling point. The cove was quiet with very little boat traffic so it very peaceful.
