Le chalet Sproul est situé sur une étendue herbeuse jusqu'au lac, entouré de chênes, de pins, de crêpes, de myrtes et de mimosas. 6 acres au total. La grande terrasse privée est meublée avec des chaises, des tables de chevet et des ventilateurs. Dans la cour de Sproul, définie par des haies anglaises, il y a un barbecue au charbon de bois avec table d'appoint, foyer et une pile de bois de chauffage gratuit. au-delà de la cour, dans le grand parc comme la zone, il y a un puits à chevaux et de grandes balançoires que petits et grands adorent! Avec 750 m² au total, deux chambres - une chambre queen privée et deux lits jumeaux dans la chambre en mezzanine - et une salle de bain complète, ce chalet peut accueillir quatre (4) personnes maximum. La kitchenette est équipée de vaisselle, ustensiles, équipement de cuisine de base, grille-pain, cafetière, cuisinière à gaz, four, micro-ondes et réfrigérateur / congélateur. Chauffage central et climatisation. Le tarif est basé sur une occupation de deux (2) personnes, 20 $ / nuit par personne supplémentaire jusqu'à quatre (4) MAXIMUM. Owners couldn’t have been nicer, more helpful. Live right next door and remained available but stayed out of our way. Place very clean, easy access to lake. I’d book again immediately if I ever go back to fish

The cottage was just what we needed to relax and enjoy family time. We enjoyed the nice front porch that overlooked the lake....very quiet. Owners were very accommodating.

CHARMED by this sweet little cottage. Appreciate all the fine details. The retro kitchen was the cutest! Spent most of our time on the porch overlooking the lake. Listening to so many song birds, watching turtles makes their way to and from the lake and squirels scurry about with wild abandon. Tom, Old Camp Joy's host, was the best! Superior communication!
Jefferson, one of our favorite places to visit, was a little over a thirty minute drive. Recommend McGarity's Restaurant and Saloon for atmosphere and eats.
We highly recommend this stay! I would grab a couple extra throws and some coffee before you come to maximize your enjoyment of the porch.

This place was adorable inside. Outside was beautiful on the lake and so peaceful. Enjoyed morning coffee and evenings visiting with my friend.

Loved it. Lacking wifi and spotty phone reception was an advantage. Kids and adults were mostly unplugged for the duration of our stay. They were busy outside, just being kids, playing on the lake shore, having a horseshoe toss competition and generally goofing off.
The view from the porch facing the lake was breathtaking especially at sunrise. If nothing else, it's worth the trip!
Son and husband spent time trying to catch fish and even though they caught grass, clothing and random stuff, they loved it enough to want another trip to try for the bass our neighbors did catch.
Cottage is clean, well-kept and cozy. The kitchenette is adequately stocked- comes with a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet. Knives are sharp.
Hosts are gracious, welcoming and friendly. They were attentive and made the overall experience worth it. Thank you Tom and Kathy for having us and we'll be back in the summer hopefully.
Try Mary's cinnamon rolls. They're delicious.

The property is beautiful. We could see the lake from our back porch. It was too cold and wet to use the paddle boats but the outdoors around us were just beautiful. If you love birds, they were everywhere !! It was very peaceful. The hosts Kathleen and Tom were very accommodating. Checked on us daily to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. They are the ultimate hosts ! You’ll love staying at the cottage !

I was bit surprised to find out it was media free. However, thats not the owners fault. I just missed it on the listing. Lol. Beautiful place. We had an amazing time. There is a strong possibility we could be back! My 8yr old son had a blast and couldnt stop talking about the canoe and tree swings ;)

This was the perfect little place to share a weekend with our friends. We didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor activities with our busy schedule, but definitely will be back here! You won’t be disappointed! Great spot! Great place!

My mom and I really enjoyed this peaceful getaway to a quiet lake. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and the lovely view of the water. We also had fun taking a canoe out!

This is our 2nd stay at Sproul House, and we were able to enjoy all the extra amenities on the lake this time (it was too cold on our 1st trip). We loved using the 3 different types of boats to look around the lake and fish. As we experienced the 1st time, the cabin was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and Tom and Katherine see to every little detail inside the cabins and out with a great view of the lake for watching the sunset in the evening or sunrise in the morning with your coffee. The lake is beautiful, and this is such a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We love this place and will definitely be back soon!

This was exactly what we needed. The cabins are beautiful as well as the lake. We fished two days while there, about 3 hours each day and caught 9 catfish. The kids had a blast with the local animals . They loved to feed the horses & donkey as well as spend time with the other animals . While there turtles were hatching across the property . The kids were even able to return a few to the lake. I can’t recall staying at a more peaceful place. The price was excellent and the owners are simply amazing people.. I’d rate them 5 stars too :) The pictures are great online but trust me they do not do it justice. There are also great local restaurants we tried & all recommendations were great. There are grills at every cottage for your convenience as well. I could go on & on. Well done!! Will visit again!

This is a wonderful place to unplug from the outside world and reconnect with your husband or wife. You can't find a better place for peace and quit and sitting on the porch and looking at a beautiful lake full of unspoiled nature. You're not sitting on your porch looking across the lake at someone else sitting on their porch looking at you sitting on yours. The three nights that we stayed, we felt like we were the only people for miles around. Tom and his wife who Owen the property are good people who care about their guests but don't intrude on you either.

This was our second time staying at Old Camp Joy and we will be back for a third. Tom was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions before and during our stay. The grounds are beautiful even in winter. We were able to bring our own Kayak this time for some fishing. It rained for most of a day and Tom offered us games to keep us occupied. It’s a great place to get away and recharge in a beautiful setting.

This was a quick birthday getaway for my husband and we were looking for a quiet place to stay. This place ended up as the perfect place. I was even able to surprise him with a birthday cake that the owners daughter made which was excellent. Tom made sure that everything we needed was there and that we were always comfortable. We would definitely starter again.

We loved this property and will definitely be back! It was THE MOST clean, adorable property I've ever stayed at. Sometimes you see pictures of properties that look updated and clean but when you get there it looks different. That is not the case with this cottage. It was meticulously decorated and they thought of every detail. This overlooks a beautiful lake and there are horseshoes, boats and swings for you to use. Just like the cottage, the outdoor stuff is well maintained as well. Can't wait to go back when it gets warmer. Thanks for the quick weekend getaway!

Found this gem online and couldn’t be happier! Pleasant stay, great hospitality and perfect location for visiting family! We could have enjoyed the lake more if the weather had been warmer, but the view was fabulous and the accommodations comfortable!

This time we rented all three houses on the property. The views of Lake of the Pines is gorgeous. This rental is comfortable and the cleanest you’ve ever rented. There is a flat bottom boat at the waters edge as well as a canoe and a kayak. Tom and Katherine are available in the event you need anything. We loved it.

My wife and I spent 2 nights in the lovely Sproul House. Tom and Katherine are fantastic hosts. The grounds are lovely, it’s quiet, and we loved the cabin. We plan to go back next year. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

The Owners of this property were so welcoming. We were going to be getting in late, and they made sure to unlock the door, and leave the light on for us. We found the cabin immaculate and well stocked. Beware or excited, there is no TV or Wi-Fi, so it helped me unplug and relax. Cell signal was great for Verizon. View of the lake was true to all pictures. The grounds were awesome, my children loved playing on the big rope swing. The owners live on site, and were very welcoming, and every time we saw them, the first question was always do you need anything. We saw tortoises cross our lawn, and were welcomed by a few big toads. This was a great place for a family to rest, reconnect, and recharge. I would highly recommend it.
