Not fair with cancellation fees.

The facility was completely unmanned and we were to pick up our key in an external mailbox and help ourselves. A hotel that is open to bookings should, in my opinion, be manned for the convenience of its guests. If not, they should remain closed or, at least, inform of the situation prior to booking. This hotel did not. Like always and with no exceptions; Swiss hotels are incredibly expensive for what one get and they are, in my opinion, constantly very far from price worthy. One always get substantially more value for one’s money in any of the neighbouring countries.

The location of the property is excellent, overlooking the lake and the room was comfortable and I had a pretty good night's sleep - which is unusual for me! The view, although hampered a little, was stunning, particularly at sunset.

Although generally clean, the biggest problem was the chaise longue, which had lots of dirty marks on it, which made me wary and so I couldn't use it. I think it could benefit from a washable cover, for sure. Breakfast was okay, but for a fairly expensive hotel, I feel it could have been better, maybe with some more hot food options.
