Breakfast was very good and well staffed

It was decorated very well and the staff were very helpful and nice. Nice view from the room. Breakfast was the same everyday but it was very good.

We couldn’t adjust the heater in the room - it was boiling hot. I expected this kind of hotel to have tissues or mini fridge or something but there wasn’t. Maybe it’s the Chilean thing.

They don’t have food when i was there. I only get tea and very expensive.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, the lobby area is a big bonus, breakfast is good and the the water filters in each floor a nice touch.

We arrived during a holiday in which most restaurants in town were closed. We would have loved to have had dinner at the hotel, except it doesn’t serve lunch, dinner or have room service. They have a frigobar service( not in the room) in which they make you go down to the front desk to get the item and the selection is not great. Additionally, even though the hotel was not crowded, we were there during shoulder season, the staff seemed not happy to be working there. When we checked in into our room, it was cold (it was 20F outside and the hotel is by the water and has beautiful views of the water but also a lot of draft). We called reception to let them know the heater was not working- cold to the touch -and they told us they would send extra blankets and a space heater bc maintenance was not available due to the holiday. They arrived with blankets and no space heater. They told us they only had one heater and it was already being used in another room. We are traveling with two young children, so this was completely unacceptable. They didn’t offer another room and didn’t even really apologize. It seemed like a normal occurrence at this hotel. Thank goodness my husband is an engineer and without tools he managed to vent the heater and take a knob from the bathroom and turn the heater on. we cranked it up to the max and were still chilly at night, so I can’t even imagine how cold it would have been without it. The next day, I waited to see if maintenance would come. Nothing. They never checked in on us for the rest of our stay. The last drop that made me write this hotel off my future list was that one day housekeeping completely bypassed our room and the next day we asked for the room to be serviced while we were out for lunch for a few hours. Mind you the hotel wasn’t full and when arrived back the room still wasn’t clean. We complained and waited another hour for the room to be serviced. This hotel could be a 4 star, but the staff is less than 0 stars!

Stayed 2 nights at Hotel Costaustralis and was very pleasantly surprised. It is the first stop on the way into town from the hotel which is convenient if you take the shuttle bus. Nice location on the shoreline with view to the north and west over the harbour and to the mountains. Our room faced the harbour and it was cosy with a beautiful view. Unfortunately there are very bright lights on the walkway illuminating the shoreline walk and they stay on all night so we had to close the blackout curtains over our window which was a pity. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the breakfast was excellent, better than anywhere else we encountered in Chile. The restaurant was also open until 11pm which was convenient for a late return from Torres del Paine. Although not in the centre of town, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and other conveniences within a short and pleasant walk from the hotel

First row by the water, so nice views from the hotel. Very good breakfast with very friendly staff. Rooms simple but nice.

Check in process a bit chaotic. Obviously there was some misscommunication between the hotel and booking.com.

When staying in Puerto Natales, it makes sense to stay at the Hotel Australis. It has great views over the water, the rooms and food are good - it is exactly what you need either before or after a trip to Torres del Paine. Great value for money, no complaints about staying here.
