We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the carriage house! It is modern and so well decorated. There were ALL the cooking supplies we needed. The location is excellent, quiet and 2 mins from everything. We felt welcome.

Nestled in a serene corner of town, it provided the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. Despite being conveniently situated near local attractions, the tranquility of the area made it feel like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Furthermore, we were thoroughly impressed by the responsiveness and hospitality of the owners. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Their helpfulness and easy communication made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. In summary, our time at the carriage house exceeded all expectations. This is so close to the down town strip and train station. I advise using Albertsons or Walmart. There is no parking on direct location of rental but a very short walk to car. The manager was present and very responsive, kind and informative. Living room furniture has changed but all else was as seen in photos. My score was not a perfect only because of the no onsite parking and I felt the home could have been cleaner. Found socks on floor, excessive hair on floor and couch, fan was dirty, and stove not clean. I do have high expectations.

We had a great time. The accommodations were exactly as listed. I can't think of a better place to stay in Durango. You can easily walk to Main Street and other places which was a big deal since my wife loved the shopping so close by. We grilled out on the deck in the middle of winter, and used the kitchen for other meals to avoid eating out so much. The host kept the stairs and patio cleared of snow and salted so the heavy snowfall we encountered was not a problem. We plan on returning this year.

The home was cute and cozy. We had everything we needed and the location was great - we just wish the bed was bigger. We will definitely stay here again.

Owner was very responsive, location was perfect. Air conditioning was only in the bedroom so it did get hot in the living room, but the weather was cool so not too much of an issue.

My husband and I stayed here for part of our anniversary trip and we had a great stay! The best part is that the property is located within a few blocks of downtown... we walked everywhere! The hosts were very friendly and communicative - and even left fresh roses in a vase for our arrival. We also enjoyed sitting on the private balcony in the evening. Basic amenities were provided, which was perfect for a short stay, but make sure to pack your own coffee. Overall, we really enjoyed it!

We loved our stay at the Carriage House in Durango. Besides being such a cute, cute, cute place, it was perfectly located for us. Three short blocks and you are on Main Street but also far enough away that it was quiet. This was really a priority because there was a motorcycle rally that weekend but we could not hear them at our place! We also appreciated that parking was very convenient. Would stay there again if back in Durango.

Our family of three stayed at this location while in town to ride the train. We could not have asked for a better location to the depot and various shopping/restaurants. The house was as advertised. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Check-in/out was hassle free. Thank you for a clean and comfortable place to stay on our visit!

We really enjoyed our stay here. My husband, 4-year-old, 1-year-old, and myself stayed for several nights while we were in Durango for a car club rally. The convenience of being in historic downtown was so nice. The property is nice, and the amenities were perfect for us. The refrigerator was huge; bring reusable ice packs if you are cooler or ice people. The only piece that we found to be a challenge was parking on the street versus on the property. This was a consideration for us ONLY because of the amount of gear our small children require us to lug back and forth each day. Without their things, this would be a non-issue. Otherwise, this property was lovely for our family. We even got to meet June, the lovely and gentle French Bulldog resident who made our kiddos squeal with delight each time she would visit. Such a treat! We can’t wait to come back!

We had an incredible stay in this lovely upstairs garage apartment. Well appointed. Fantastic Design. Everything you could need for 2 people. Lots of storage to unpack for a week. Beautiful views from the private upstairs deck. Fantastic location - we walked to town and the river every day. Hosts were friendly, helpful, and quick to reply. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was conveniently located within walking distance to downtown and was very quiet. We met the property manager and he was very friendly and welcoming.

A fantastic property in Durango for a couple or small family. Place was very clean and easily accessible. An easy walk to restaurants and attractions in Durango. Great kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals. Gas grill on private deck was great for cooking the rainbow trout we caught. Communication with owners was quick and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to again.

I thought I could do the stairs no problem, but really they're not handicapped accessible and thats my fault because the stairs were in the picture so I knew what I was getting into but you have to walk a ways to park and that was hard too. Not to mention our car got covered in sticky crap because it was under a tree and now it won't come off. But over all the unit itself was beautiful. Had everything you could think of that you would need and the checkout instructions were very easy. Wouldn't stay here again just because of my restrictions but I would definitely recommend it to those who don't have any handicaps.

We loved staying here. Quiet neighborhood and walking distance to town and hiking. Nice to have an outdoor space, garage apartment done very nice, has everything you would possibly need. Would definitely stay here again!

First time back to Durango in many, many years; I hope it's not the last. We arrived very late in the evening as we'd driven over from Zion NP; left early the next morning for breakfast (the Durango Diner rocks!) and then the train to Silverton; spent the afternoon & evening walking around town and moved on early the next morning. So, we only saw Dan for a few minutes. But, I emailed with him several times leading up to our stay and felt 100% confident that everything would be perfect. I was correct. The location is conveniently located close to downtown and parking is easy. The apartment is spacious, modern and very comfortable. The only recommendation I might suggest would be to leave some ground coffee in one of cupboards (we filled up at McDonalds). This was the next to last night of our ten-day vacation. We ended on a high note. I can't recommend Durango highly enough - it's just a wonderful little town. And, this is an awesome place to stay- yes, I highly recommend it!

Very clean, very nice property with excellent location. Everything seemed new, and updated. Enjoyed the fire place in the evenings. Walking distance to downtown and the river. Would definitely stay here again.

Our first time in Durango and the apartment above the garage was a perfect spot for walking downtown and Main Street. A great little kitchen with a full fridge, comfortable bed in a separate bedroom, and great living area and patio.

Apartment is a great location to downtown. Drive or walk, either way its not far, but still quiet. A/C is decent for being portable. Coming from the south, it didn't feel as cool with a/c on, but think thats the difference in no humidity. :) at night we slept with the windows open, and it was comfortable. Had everything you would need. Well stocked. Thanks for a great stay Dan.

Great cozy and quiet little space. We had our two kids with us and thought this place was perfect. Dan was very welcoming and friendly. Awesome little spot for our Durango get away!

This garage apartment was beautifully done. Location was perfect for short walks to train, food, gifts. Love the balcony for morning coffee.
