My husband and I just recently stayed at the Ocean Spray with our 5 adult children. We had a wonderful trip! Shawn is a great host. He was very quick to respond to any questions I had prior to our trip. He was also very accessible during our stay to help us out with a couple of things we needed. The pool is great. It is in a very private location. It is a good size and temperature and is 7 ft deep at one end so nice for adults to use. The home is right across the street from a small beach. This is not a great beach to sunbathe on. The location where the sand is exposed is quite rocky in the water. There are concrete steps down to the water where the parking lot is. If you enter the water at this spot, it is very sandy The water is shallow for quite a distance out and there is a semi-circle of rocks that offer protection from the waves. It was a great spot to cool off in the ocean. The view is amazing! This was my favorite part of the property. It is right on the ocean and there are decks on all three levels that have spectacular views. There is a pretty busy road that runs right in front of the property and this does take away some of the enjoyment of the view, but it is still absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend hiring Shawn's driver. Brenoid was such a pleasure to deal with. He was always prompt with pickup and had great suggestions for places to go. There are pros and cons with the location. The listing clearly states that this property is in a residential neighborhood, however, there really is nothing to do within walking distance. It was necessary to have the driver pick us up every time we wanted to go out and it took at least 15 minutes to get to any restaurant or activity. Just for a reference, one night three of my kids wanted to stay longer than the rest of us at a bar at the Atlantis and took a taxi back. It cost them $70. While it is nice to be away from the hectic downtown area, we did get a little tired of needing transportation for absolutely everything.

This house was perfect for two couples and their kids. All the beds are king size which matters to us. The 5 girls were able to share the 3rd floor loft. That being said, you will be sharing a bathroom with whoever is on that 3rd floor. This is not a problem for our family. The pool is great place to unwind from a day out on the beach, excursion or sightseeing. Having the beach across the street was so convenient. We spent 3 of our days lazing in that beautiful inlet. We found so many beautiful shells and treasures. Such a relaxing experience. We hired Berniod for our driver for the week and it was a great decision! He is so kind, funny and laidback. Our car Karaoke will be a cherished memory from this trip. :-) His taste in music was on point and made our drives so much fun! Katy Perry will never be the same!

We had the best week in Nassau! We took our 4 kids with us from Texas. It’s our 3rd time to the Bahamas and it was nice to stay outside the resorts. The property was as described. When we arrived, Shawn had it all Cleaned and smelling fresh. It’s an awesome location near the beach and a very clean private pool. My favorite things as a mom is as the washer and dryer and the kitchen was set up perfectly with the right tools to cook during our stay. The third level was perfect for my 4 kids as it had 4 queen beds set up in their own private space! They loved it. Lots of towels were available as well. Shawn also saved the day with coffee filters one morning as I forgot to pick those up from the market. The biggest plus was having his private driver Brenoid. He made the travel around the island easy and took us to the market to shop right as we came Into the island. My kids and I miss Brenoid already. He’s super patient and knows all the good places to visit. Can’t thank both these guys enough for making our stay in the Bahamas so fun and special.

Ocean Spray is exactly as advertised! The house is very spacious and has all the necessities required. Lovely clean home in a quiet residential area away from the bustle of the city across the road from the beach, with wonderful views of the sunrise from the balconies. Shawn is an excellent host. He made everything easy from a flexible checkin and out to even driving us to get groceries I highly recommend hiring Shawn’s driver, Brenoid. He was available whenever we needed him, always arriving promptly. He has a large (12 passenger van) that can accommodate your group and luggage. Even provided an infant car seat for our stay. His fee included airport pickup and drop off, gas, tolls, mileage etc. Overall our family had a wonderful vacation made special by Shawn’s assistance and recommendations. We will look forward to returning!

The property was well kept, clean, and spacious. I would say best for about 10 people. Sean the owner was GREAT!! the driver is definitely a must. Great views of the sunrise from the balconies. Much better deal than hotels for sure. Check in / out was very easy and flexible, we had to do nothing. Thanks Sean and Don for a great memorable vacation.

Wonderful house and location close to the beach. Plenty of room for all 8 women to gather. Private location with pool and beach across the street. Shawn is wonderful! Fast with responses and requests (we had plenty:). Gave multiple ideas for dinner spots, beaches and shopping.

Shawn is not only a gracious and attentive host, he’s also a great person. He recommended the best beaches & places to shop/dine. His beautiful home is larger than expected has great views of the ocean with amazing sunrises and a lovely pool. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

I reserved the Ocean Spray Beach House for a family trip that included several dive days for 10 of our family members (we had 12 members staying altogether). We were very pleased with our accommodations, and especially enjoyed Brenoid and Wayne as our drivers all over the island throughout our 5 day stay. Shawn is an excellent host and set us up with Brenoid to meet our transportation needs. We found the home comfortably equipped for our family needs and the pool was also a wonderful asset during our stay! Renting from Shawn was a great experience. He was easy to work with and was there to greet us when we arrived. Whenever we needed anything, he had it to us by the next morning. As far as the house goes, it is in a quiet area on the East side of the island. The sunrises each morning were spectacular. There was plenty of room for the 9 of us. The parents slept in the two bedrooms and the young adults had plenty of room in the loft. The house is well kept and has all the necessities. We ate about half our meals at the house and half out, so having a full kitchen was great. Also, having the washer and dryer was helpful after the days water adventures. There also a brand new pool in the side yard. I would definitely recommend using Bernoid as the driver. He can take up to 12 and is available from 6am to midnight and even worked later to pick us up on New Years Eve. Wherever we needed to go he was there promptly to get us there. As the kids said “Bernoid is the man!” The reason for four stars instead of five is there are a couple of minor maintanence issues, the WiFi kept cutting in and out and there needs to be more seating in the living room. Overall, our stay at Oceanspray was fantastic and we will stay there again on our next visit to Nassau.

We were 12 of us for a 5 day trip and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and well appointed. Plenty of light around the home at night. A crib and high chair was ready when we got there. Air conditioning was very effective. Plenty of bottled water was provided. And Shawn was very friendly and responsive to our requests. For example, he delivered some coffee filters we needed first thing in the morning and one night he set out the grill before we got home so it would be ready for us after a trip to the supermarket. (Beware: food is pricey on the island, higher than what we are used to in the USA.) The home is in a quiet residential area with little traffic, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. We hired Bernoid, a driver that Shawn recommended, for the 5 days. He had a 12 passenger van that fit all of us at once, including luggage. Otherwise we would have had to rent 2 vehicles and dealt with driving on the left side of the road. Transportation is required if you want to got to the supermarket or to one of the resorts on the island. Bernoid's fee included all gas and tolls. He picked us up whenever we wanted, including transportation from and to the airport, and was a great resource for information about the island. Shawn's place is highly recommended! Shawn is an absolutely amazing host and I would give him six stars if I was just reviewing him. If we had a problem he arrived promptly and resolved any issues. Once we had a problem with the AC and the WIFi and both times Shawn promptly fixed the issues by resetting the equipment. You definitely need a driver if you are staying here. We are glad we decided to at the last minute, because the location is about 20minutes from town. Our driver Brenoid was amazing! He even was there at 5am in the morning once after being up all night (it was New Years Eve) and was an excellent source of information about Nassau.Our only issue was that the beach was not really a beach to layout on if it was high tide. We loved our trip and this house. We got this for the seclusion. Having the driver was good because it is a solid 20 min or more from Atlantis and the main tourist stuff. The house was great. Shawn was awesome and helpful. I thought there would be more of a “beach” but with the tides that effected it. However, the last two days we went down and snorkeled out in front of the house and the rocks created a reef and we saw a ton of fish. So it was more fun than I initially thought. The ac in the house was excellent. Tons of room. Had a great time

We had a group of 4 families (10 adults and 8 kids) rent out both the Oceanspray and Seabreeze homes from Shawn for a 6 day trip to Nassau. So glad we found this house. First off, everything was as advertised/presented. Beautiful CLEAN house in a residential (not touristy) neighborhood with all the amenities and space we needed across the street from the beach. Fully stocked kitchen, linens, etc. Beds for everyone. In fact, the top floor is just a huge room with a bunch of beds so the kids slept up there. The beach across the street was lovely in the morning and at most times was empty (like a private beach for us). The grocery store was 5 minutes drive away and the prices were reasonable (compared to the touristy part of the island). We would generally eat one meal per day in the house and one out so it worked out. We brought some ingredients from home and bought the rest from the supermarket nearby and there was plenty of equipment and appliances in the kitchen to make meals. But the part that really was the cherry on top was the owner Shawn was the best. He did everything he could to make our stay as pleasant as possible and checked in on us several times and never hesitated when we asked him for anything. As a local he had great advice about what to do on the island. One example of his dedication to make our stay as comfortable as possible is about a week before the trip I checked with him to find out if the houses had 2 pack n play cribs (we had 2 babies) and he replied back saying he only had 1 but would try to get another. Within a day he replied back and said he found one. I don't know if he bought one for us or got from a friend but that was very thoughtful of him as things like that are not so easy to access on the island. Our group likes to explore so we drove around the island exploring the beaches (Coral Beach and Jaws Beach were our favorites) and taking a few snorkel trips (ask the guy renting jetskis at Coral Beach to arrange one for you if you have group) and it was so comforting to come home to our Oceanspray/Seabreeze houses and take showers (another thing - houses NEVER ran out of hot water with 18 people taking showers/baths simultaneously/in a row), warm up a nice dinner, put the kids to bed, and put our wet stinky clothes in the laundry while we drink coffee and relax outside while listening to the ocean waves lapping against the shore. Perfect for us!

Family traveled to the Bahamas for a nice quiet break in the action and this is exactly what we got. Watching the moonlight across the water, hanging out at the beach and cruising around was our mantra. Convenient, clean and a great host.

Our stay at Oceanspray beach house was more than we all expected. We take a girls trip every year, and this has been the best yet. The property was clean and maintained very well. Shawn was awesome from the very first e-mail, being very patient. He also made sure me and my girls were good with transportation. Everything I requested was ready upon arrival, we will be back soon. Thanks again Shawn!!!

Shawn was a great host; met us the first day and showed us where to get groceries and even took us there because we didn't have a car. Would recommend renting a car at airport though to save time from getting it after you arrive at the house. Cost us $65 for ride from airport to house. The house is well equipped and we loved the balcony view on third floor. It was fun to swim at the nearby beach and yet going into town was only a 15 minute ride.

Beautiful three story home overlooking the Carribean ocean. Huge balconies from both 2nd and 3rd levels with unobstructed views of the Carribean. Sean was a wonderful host and made sure we had all that we needed. His driver Colin served as both our tour guide and driver. always ready within 20 minutes no matter when and where our destination. We stayed 3 nights at the Atlantis and what an upgrade moving to this house was! Look forward to our next stay at the wonderful upscale estate! Thank you Shawn!! Scott

Relaxing and well appointed east end home. The 4 of us enjoyed many books and cups of coffee on the front porch while taking in the blue ocean. Recommend renting a car to take in more of Providence Island. Shawn is a great host; ask him for car rental and restaurant advice. We enjoyed Luciano's, Bahama Grill and Marco's Pizza. A place we would return to.

We spent with three adults plus three grown up children a perfect holiday on the Bahamas. Shawn arranged the pick up from the airport and the driver even stoped with us for shopping at the supermarket.The house was very clean and well equiped. If something was missing, Shawn provided it within a minute. From the first minute on we felt like visiting a friend and this was the only holiday so far where the reality was better than the pictures we saw before in the internet. It was unbelievable for us, that the beautiful beach just across the street was almost empty during the day. The water was cristal clear and warm and you could walk in the water for half a mile enjoying the view on nice houses from 007 Sean Connery and other famous people. We enjoyed the sunrise view over the ocean sitting on the balcony from Oceanspray house or just staying in bed and opening the window. The real view on the ocean is better than the pictures are showing. A big supermarket is in walking distance, generally you have to know that food prices on the Bahamas are very high compared to the US or Europe. Once we took the bus to downtown Nassau, which was an exciting experience and only about one dollar per person. The Antlantis, straw market and the crowded harbour region was nice to see but we realy enjoyed to come back to Oceanspray house and our calm beach. I realy want to thank Shawn again who helped us out, when our son could not be booked on the flight as we suffered some ESTA problems. Shawn came immediatly to the airport, picked him up and helped our son with the administrative hurdles to reach his next flight. We can fully recommend Oceanspray house and we want to come back.

Six co-workers rented this condo for 10 days and we were pleased! Enough room for everyone, very comfortable. Shawn was open to addressing our requests for everything from water to clock batteries. Had some minor glitches---ice machine did not work, the microwave did not work, clock on stove did not work. There was no blender but a brand new one was provided when we asked. Also recommend hiring the driver for the entire stay, it made everything so convenient! David was very agreeable and pleasant.

We traveled to the Bahamas for a wedding and our family was extremely comfortable and happy with this home. The view from the balcony is lovely with the small beach right across the street. We did choose to rent a car, which was very reasonable, and enjoyed being a 3 minute drive from groceries and about an 8 minute ride to many restaurants. The home is very comfortably furnished and the host was marvelous! We all enjoyed meeting Shawn and took advantage of his advice on places to eat and play. He was most gracious and I do not hesitate to recommend this property for a vacation.

The rental property is great! Shawn is a very friendly guy and the time we spent at his Beach House was so much fun! We spent a week without a rental car or using Taxis, using the local buses to travel around the island was cheap and fun and gave us a good exercise everyday. I strongly suggest going to Tiki Bikini Hut at Junkanoo beach right by Downtown Nassau. The reef out front of the Beach House is beautiful if you don't mind swimming out from shore a good distance. Cant wait till Shawn puts a pool in, will definitely want to visit again!

Hi,I stayed at this house earlier this month(Nov 2014),when we,as a group of friends, went to Nassau Bahamas for our annual vacation.The owner,Shawn,was an extremely helpful and pleasant person and readily available to solve any issues. We had an issue when we split in two groups and one group came back home without the key.Shawn was very helpful and immediately came and unlocked the house for us. The house is oceanfront and has beautiful views. House is clean and air-conditioned. Overall it was a wonderful experience for us and I will definitely like to go back.Thanks Shawn for everything you did for us.

We rented the Oceanspray for a week and had a really good time. House is huge, a lot of room for a big family. There were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 kids and we had plenty of space left. Ocean was really nice, very clear and warm water, white sandy beach. Supermarket is only 5 minutes away, where you can stock the fridge with groceries and utilize the kitchen. Fresh fishmarket is less then 10 minutes away, we had grilled fish and crabs for dinner, almost everyday. I would recommend Oceanspray to all my friends and family.

Our wedding vacation was perfect from beginning to end. The house was spectacular, the view was breath taking and the owner Shawn was fabulous. We recently rented both sides of this beautiful duplex for a family gathering (wedding). We put the younger crowd on one side and the older crowd on the other. This worked very well! The beach is just across the road and is excellent for young families. This place is situated in a nice area of town and is lovely for walking or going for runs etc. You are away from the commercial hustle and bustle of the resorts (which is what we wanted), yet within a short drive of it all, including other beaches. The place is spacious, clean and lovely! Shawn was a wonderful host and very attentive to our every need. Shawn also has a driver who can be hired. We ran into a local tradesman on one of our walks who had worked for Shawn on the construction of the building and he said "Shawn is a very honest man and very hard working". That certainly rang true of our experience of him. We would definitely recommend this place to others.
