Lived up to his expectations

Great place. Made my stay in San Diego comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful property in a nice quiet neighborhood.

It was a beautiful property and was nice and cozy. We were only sleeping there so it was a good size. My husband's a marine so we underestimated the drive everywhere, but that's on us. Owners were nice and it was a nice neighborhood.

We stayed a week at John’s place. We loved the location and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Great hos and thanks John. Recommend staying here.

We were in San Diego for the mens lacrosse championship. We found this vrbo with great reviews and we concur. There were s couple of things though that we hadn't realized. It is quite far out of the city and it is a very snall room with an attached bathroom. Having said that, we really appreciated how quiet and calming the setting was. My husband and I slept great every night. We did end up leaving a few nights earlier than planned, because we wanted to be more in the thick of things! We couldn't have asked for friendlier hosts, that are also very prompt communicators. Thank you Jay and Laura (and your sweet pup)

Perfect for visiting UCSD daughter. Not close to campus, but less expensive than a hotel room! Quite a ways off the freeway, but very quiet and clean! Very nice, quick stay!

Overall, the unit was nice, a bit on the small side, but we may do. There is no kitchen or efficiency type like we thought other than that it was good.

This is a perfect spot for us to relax after a full day with nearby family. Thanks for your good care!

Elegant home in quiet upscale community. Nearby park had excellent tennis facility. Park also had hiking trails and a facility with horseback riding. Villa is shared with residents in other units. I was alone so privacy was not an issue. Walls are not sound proof. So you will hear the other occupants at certain times. I believe that is stated by the renter in the VRBO ad. Clean and comfortable and I enjoyed my stay.

John was very easy to communicate with. One small issue that got resolved ASAP!

This property has been one the best rental experiences I’ve ever had! The owners really thought of everything and had great communication. The location was awesome! Quite, private and local, but still a brief drive to big attractions. A perfect place to feel relaxed and comfortable while being given the chance to explore San Diego. If I’m ever back in town I will be returning!

The location of Lock box could have been clearer. There are a lot of different units at property. Overall was very clean and well stocked unit. Manager was very responsive

This is the nicest experience I had with a vrbo. The room was so clean and comfortable. The owners were nice as can be and very responsive to any requests. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet and I slept very well during my stay. Five star experience.

It was a lovely room with great amementies. It has a great private court yard to sit in that you had to share with the other room. The hosts are gracious and very nice. However the AC is controlled by the main house and it got uncomfortably stuffy at night, All in all we had a great stay, it is about a 35-40 min drive to Mission Beach. And Yes we would recommend this rental to others.

This 1 bedroom, 1 bath is comfortable and well appointed. The Italian door and windows are beautiful. There is a small fridge and microwave. They have a Keruig with pods and a pitcher of filtered water for you. Nice towels are provided. The owner is very nice and hospital. Keep in mind that this is not a free standing unit; it is connected to the house with a locked door.

Room was both very clean and quiet. Nice neighborhood and home appearance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will look to stay there again in the future.

Very clean and nicely decorated with a great outdoor patio. Located in a great neighborhood and not too far from downtown San Diego and La Jolla (~30min).

We enjoyed staying here very much. Sent a text to owner regarding adjusting the AC which they immediately responded and followed up to ensure we were happy. Would stay here again!

Overall a wonderful experience. John is very proactive in reaching out before our stay. Clear, helpful instructions on where to find the rental and check in/out process. Very quick to respond to questions and concerns. Room was quaint, super clean, and private. Plenty of towels, coffee, and the water in the fridge was so thoughtful! Overall enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this room!

Unfortunately, the photo is of the home/garage occupied by the property owner, not of the rental unit. "Villa B" is a small bedroom and bath; just enough floor space to walk around the bed to the bathroom, if no one opens the closet door. No kitchen, table/chairs, counter, loveseat or couch; no where to eat or drink anything, read a book or play a game or use your computer, other than in the bed. Microwave is on a shelf 5' high; at 5'8" I needed to stand on tiptoes to use it. "Garden" is the side yard, the length of the bedroom, between the side fence and the backyard gate, shared with "Villa A" whose door is right next to that of "Villa B". There are 2 padded outdoor chairs that were soaked each morning (San Diego gets fog), 2 small endtables, for both rentals to share. No apparent way to turn on heat. Bed is comfortable, nice shower, great location. If we had known there was no kitchen and no place to sit and have a meal or glass of wine, to play cards or a game, we wouldn't have stayed here.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed for a few nights, and it was wonderful! The location is perfect! Beautiful quiet neighborhood and very easy to access the property. Very comfortable room. Overall, best VRBO stay. Highly recommend to friends and family ☺️

Very nice

The property was a nice, but small casita attached to a single family home, equipped nicely with a queen bed and dresser. The bathroom was a good size with a shower and sink space including a nice window and shelf. We were there for a family gathering and didn't spend much time at the property but it was just fine for our purposes. We spent most of our time away, so the tight quarters didn't affect our stay. The bed was firm but comfortable and the decor of the room was pleasant.

John is a very good host and the property is very clean, I would definitely stay there again
