cold…no heating…if it’s chilly watch out

Beautifully kept historic building with excellent facilities. Everything had been thought about so carefully.

Not much - but think it would have been nice to show case local producers in the breakfast provision.

Loved this unique B&B very comfortable, clean, homely and great location. Had everything we needed plus more! We will certainly be back and would definitely recommend anyone looking for something a bit different.

We loved it been an old place with history, it was very comfortable and the breakfast supplies were perfect. It was nice to sit by the fire with a wine chatting and the place warmed up well even though it was cold outside.

Fantastic BnB conversion. Really comfy and homely, with lots of fantastic light. Well equipt with modern TV, wifi, cooking equipment. Hosts provided bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast which was great. Close to the main street so able to walk everywhere.

Downstairs can get a little cold in winter even with the fire on due to the high ceiling. But fluffy, warm blankets were provided.

Relaxing and comfortable. was clean and lots of lovely little touches to make the stay wonderful.

The Bed was a bit small ,and the mattress was a bit firm

We stayed here nearly 20 years ago, so thought it would be nice to stay again. We were not disappointed. Clare Valley Heritage Retreat is a lovely place to stay, and the bacon provided for breakfast was so delicious. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing visit to Clare. Close to the Main St, restaurants and the bike hire for the riesling tour.

Perfect cozy BnB. Within walking distance of the main street, shops and dining but offset enough it was not too noisy. Very unique property. Easy access. Very comfortable.

Unique gorgeous church accommodation. Well appointed for a long stay.

The heating provided is totally inadequate for the building and location. Fortunately hot air rises so the loft where the bedroom is does become warm. The combustion wood fire is useless. It was too cold to sit downstairs and enjoy the beautiful interior. I would not recommend staying here in the colder months. For the price per night stay this was very disappointing.

Location was excellent and the owner dropped off some extra wood for the roaring fire. Great place to relax with friends and a few glasses of wine
