We had a wonderful stay, would recommend to anyone. The location was amazing. Short walks to Nubble and Short Sands. The house was cozy and had everything we could need.

My family and I had a great stay at this home for a long weekend in September. We loved how close we were to the beach and would walk down that way every morning. The house was the perfect size for our group and had a nice setup. We also loved how close it was to both short sands and long sands beaches. We hope to return again!

Great stay

We had a wonderful vacation. Location of the home is fantastic. We stayed in Aug and could have used some AC on a few of the days. It got a little tricky opening and closing windows when rain storms suddenly sprang up while we were trying to keep the house at a confortable temp. Overall we had an absolutely wonderful vacation and made a lot of great family memories.

We had a fantastic week-long stay at this beautiful house. We loved the screened porch and water views from most every room. The home was exceptionally clean, organized and beautifully furnished with very comfortable furniture and beds! We hope to be back next year, if not before!

Comfortable, clean house with ocean views and short walk to the beach. Our toddler loved making multiple visits to the beach each day. Close to other attractions in York so it was easy to walk/drive to other activities. Well-stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare meals without having to bring a lot of our own supplies. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Would definitely return and recommend!

This house has everything: location location location, deliciously comfortable furniture, a well-stocked kitchen with the basic necessities (sponges, dish soap, salt and spices) it is so annoying to buy on vacation), a wonderful sun porch, a deck off the kitchen with a table to eat at, great outdoor shower, puzzles, boogie boards and beach chairs in the garage. It's the perfect spot for a York Beach vacation, and we had a wonderful time.

The owner was extremely responsive right from booking. Answered all questions quickly and throughly. The property is in a great location with ocean views from the front yard. This is a really beautiful spot. We hosted my mom and brother's bday here. We had a lobster dinner catered by a local spot (Foster's) on the back deck, and had friends and family join us at the beach the next day. It was just a short walk to Short Sands Beach (with a very accessible parking lot), Nubble Light, and Fox Restaurant near Nubble Light. This was also a great area to have kids because it was a short walk to the arcade, zoo, and massive playground near the beach.

* 5 stars for cleaning service *I am giving 5 stars for communication with property manager but we didn't have to communicate with her/him so "not applicable" would be a better choice. First of all, the cleaning service did a great job and the house smelt nice upon arrival. The property is in an excellent location and has a great beach feel and nice neutral colors. The enclosed porch and the deck out back were great places to relax and the deck has a nice table and umbrella so you can have meals outside. Being able to grill was a must and we appreciate that it was a nice, clean grill. The walk to the beach and to downtown was easy, and even enjoyable with an ocean view the whole way. We loved having the garage to store our beach gear in and we used the beach cart that was provided there. The outdoor shower came in very handy when coming back from the beach to get the sand off. The 4 bedrooms (all upstairs) were just right for us so that the early birds could gather without waking others. I rearranged the closet in the small bedroom because it had clutter in it and my wife thought it was gross. I just placed the empty fan boxes and other clutter onto the top shelf and vacuumed the floor and then I was able to hang my shirts and use the floor for my suitcase, shoes and backpack (problem solved). Just note that the house did not have any open cabinet space for the food we brought with us. We made due by moving the vacuum to the basement and using our coolers and the stovetop for dry goods. We put breads on top of the microwave. We had an ant problem in the kitchen when we arrived but that may have been due to the previous occupant's crumbs. I'm sure we could have called someone but we managed them throughout the week by keeping on top of any crumbs and putting the sugar box into a ziplock. So all in all it was a fun and relaxing stay and a perfect home and location for us. We hope to be back again! -Mark

Thankfully this home was very comfortable for 2 families because it was cold and rainy the whole July 4th weekend. We were cozy and warm inside this nice home. The location was awesome- with a short walk to the beach and town. The property manager was easy to communicate with and very helpful during the whole process. Definitely recommend staying at this home in York!

We found the house to be just what we wanted. We enjoyed the outdoor shower after a day on the beach. It is a short walk to the beach . The house is in a quiet neighborhood and walking distance to nubble light house. We are planning to rent again.

Loved the quaintness of the older home and although not actually on the water, did have a water view. Easy walking to everything - just a most enjoyable 4 days

We enjoyed the house and the location

This trip was great, York is a beautiful town with lots of good places to eat. The house is a little over a five minute walk from the beach and town, so very easy access, and Long Beach is nice as well. Neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are very friendly. Great spot.

The house decor is warm and inviting, the bedrooms are nicer than the online photos and the beds are very comfortable. One block away , after a row of homes is an open view to the ocean which makes this location ideal. We could see and hear the ocean from 2 of the 4 bedrooms , another wonderful feature.

We were there off season before things opened up which was actually great for a short get away. The location is great. Kids could ride their bikes to beach, to the shops nearby and be very independent. House is cozy and has what you need.

House was nice, clean, comfortable, decorated beautifully and best part was location. Short walk to Short Sands beach, which is a smaller beach area, compared to Long Sands beach. We saw this as a huge plus. Close walking to downtown area, restaurants, shops, etc and one night we enjoyed drinks in the outdoor area of Union Bluff, ordered food from their restaurant. Overall great experience.
