Great home cooked breakfast, great choice. The hosts were really friendly and have a good knowledge of the surrounding area.

We liked the welcome and kindness of the hosts. The room was clean and really comfortable having all facilities that you'd like. The breakfast was very good with different breakfast possibilities to choose. The hosts had good information to advise us on our travel and visiting nice areas/villages

Hosts very friendly and were very good catering for dietary requirements nothing too much trouble.

The most amazing place to stay. Rooms were large and very comfortable. So many little extras all included. Mini fridge, bath robes. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic. Best b&b we have ever stayed in. Look forward to returning again.

Everything was faultless from start to finish. Lovely hosts, amazing breakfast, exceptional property with every conceivable facility thought of. Not to forget to mention the incredible shortbread.

This is an exceptional place to stay. The room was large, lovely and warm and the bed was very comfortable. Within the room there was a variety of tea, coffee etc,fresh biscuits for both us and the dog, plus fresh milk was provided. The fridge in the room was really appreciated. Really nice toiletries in the bathroom with super soft towels. We arrived with a dog and he was made as welcome as we were and there was also a basket full of dog goodies in the room. We had snow while we were there, but had the weather been better there were beautiful walks around the property and also dog friendly pubs/restaurants close by. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and the breakfast was amazing.My husband went into Shepton Mallett hospital for an operation and on the day he was allowed out they kindly let me stay longer in the room.

Loved every second staying here, from check in to check out. The room was great, clean and big! The hosts were kind, fun and easy to talk to and made amazing breakfasts! The location is perfect for venturing to Bath, Glastonbury and Cheddar which is what we did and it was quiet at night so the sleeping was amazing. The pub is a short 3 min walk from the BnB so it’s a nice place to unwind after a day of adventuring and the breakfasts are so so good. Big portion and delicious breakfast to keep you going throughout the day. Sophie and I will be staying here again if we are in the area for sure.

We both thought that this was one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at. Simon and Alyson are so welcoming and friendly and the house is beautifully decorated and homely. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. There was a wide range of choices and everything was cooked perfectly.

There was nothing we didn't like - it was perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at the old stables. The room was delightful, the breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and plenty of choice. The room was very nice, bed very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Aly, Simon and Jasper were excellent host and couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Also there is a pub within walking distance which serve good food at reasonable prices.

Loved everything about this little gem. Simon and Alyson were such amazing hosts, treated us like visiting friends. The entire house was so clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped, you wanted for nothing. Bedroom was gorgeous, bed so comfortable, slept so well. Loved the delicious and huge variety of breakfast options. The homemade cookies in our room were to die for! Of course the welcome from Jasper (the family dog) was something we looked forward too every day.. Can't recommend the Old Stables enough.

This is the best B & B I've ever stayed in. Luxurious, spacious, immaculately clean room and bathroom. Facilities outstanding with very fine eye for detail. Appreciated fresh milk provided. Superb breakfast. The hosts are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Mine was a working visit and it was great going back to a quiet, relaxing room. Great location if you are visiting the Bath & West Showground.

As a very fussy person when it comes to staying away there was nothing I didn't like.

The owners were absolutely charming, very friendly & helpful, the room was lovely, it was well equipped with tea/coffee, home made shortbread (very tasty) with a small fridge & also dressing gowns were supplied, bed was very comfortable, shower room was a good size and also well appointed, towels soaps etc, there was also free Wi-Fi which was good enough to stream Netflix on. The breakfasts were excellent, but my wife is vegetarian & felt they could improve on that front. The location & views were lovely with a charming local pub which served lovely food a few minutes walk away. I would highly recommend this B&B.

The location was quiet and reasonably secluded, but with a pub serving evening meals just down the road we had all that we needed. The room was spacious, with both bath and shower in the bathroom. The breakfasts were good and the owners were friendly and keen to please. Maps were available for us to plan walks in the attractive surrounding countryside.

It is hard to find fault with anything. If I say that I was mildly disappointed that poached eggs (my favourite) weren't on the breakfast menu that gives an inkling of the struggle that I had to find fault.

The attention to detail was impressive. The best B&B we have stayed in. Alyson and Simon were the perfect hosts. Selecting a time for breakfast was very good and breakfast itself was first class. Dogs 🐶 most welcome. We will return for sure.

Beautiful location, so peaceful and quiet. Simon and Aly were the perfect hosts as was the friendly Jasper! Everything was thought about in regards to the needs of guests. Breakfast was amazing- certainly set you up for the day. Good local knowledge from hosts. Lovely pub at the end of the lane serving fantastic food. Will definitely stay again.

Cannot fault this place. Definately a 5* bed and breakfast.
