We loved sitting out on the deck with the beautiful deck and the space inside was very comfortable. The house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.
It takes about 25 minutes to get into town but it was so nice being away from town before it was cooler up high and so quiet. We would not wasn’t to drive home in the dark. We enjoyed simple dinners at home while eating on the deck with the amazing views.

This is a fantastic rental home just down the road from Purgatory. It is about 30 minutes from downtown Durango. First, I would like to say that the home is beautifully decorated and the Owners really make it feel like a home (I think the Owners stay there for extended stays). They have great beds, all the kitchen appliances and utensils you would ever need. They have blankets throughout the home, dog bowls to feed an entire kennel, and so many more wonderful touches throughout. We will definitely be looking to book this home when we return for our next family vacation.Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Best VRBO in Durango! Our group absolutely loved this property. We had a few minor issues, but they were taken care of right away. I was extremely pleased in how fast the property managers got back to me. We will definitely stay again!

We had a group of five adults and four teenagers staying the week before Christmas. We absolutely loved the house, and have zero complaints. There was plenty of room for everyone, plenty of towels, and the kitchen was extremely well-stocked (including cute dog bowls for our pups). The property manager was very helpful when we asked for suggestions on where we could go sledding. We will definitely consider this house when we return to the area.

The house was amazing! House was fully stocked with everything you might need. Beautiful view! Perfect setup for a family with kiddos. House even had a perfect driveway that allows for sledding. Very close to Purgatory. The house is one of the last ones in the neighborhood so be prepared for it to be alittle difficult to get to on the winter with snow/ice! Overall, could not have asking for a better house for a ski trip.

Our group of 10/11 (for 2 days) really enjoyed this cabin! There was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was especially nice and roomy which was a plus for us as we tend to cook 2 meals a day at vacation rental properties. The kiddos loved the pool table upstairs. The location was perfect, not directly in town but close enough to enjoy shopping and the rodeo! We took advantage of the discounts they offer through local companies for white water rafting and an ATV tour. Our only complaint that absolutely cannot be helped by VRC was the amount of mosquitoes every night. We would have lovedd to use the deck space more at night for games, but even with citronella candles and coils going, we could not stay outside for long. I personally liked not having to do the long list of "take off the sheets, take all trash to dumpster, sweep floors, etc." upon checking out that most rental companies ask you to do. Check in and out were easy and communication was encouraged by VRC. We had a great stay and will book again with them in the future!

What a treat - this was the highlight of our Durango stay. A view from every direction - beautiful tall green trees and hummingbirds zipping by. The porch was nice to sit and listen and watch nature - hawks, hummingbirds, robins deer, butterflies, rabbits, woodpeckers etc. with the lake in the background!The house itself had plenty of space for our party of 7. The pool table was frequently enjoyed by us all - and large living room treated us with a family movie night! We were looking for a cabin with the "mountain top" feel but still have access to internet - and 26 Big Pine Trail was a home run! Many wonderful memories made during our stay in Durango.

We loved the property. Big beautiful home. Nice big deck and the furniture was new and comfortable. Beds where comfortable too. My only complaint is that I could have used an egg pan and some small pots. There were lots of big pots but not any small or medium ones. And lots of frying pans but not any with Teflon. Also the drive up from the major road is long and extremely bumpy. The house is beautiful and I would definitely stay again!!

We were hesitant about staying on the mountain during the winter. In fact, when we arrived we called to see if there was another location we could stay at. They had 57 inches of show within the 2 days before we arrived. Definitely need snow tires, not just 4 wheel drive. The house was amazing and nicely kept. We had everything we needed.

My Wife, Son, and I came for a few days looking to get some R&R in the mountains. The house looked brand new and was very clean and modern. We loved the huge patio and the views it provided of the cliffs during the day and the stars at night.
Pool table was a fun bonus once the sun went down. Town is a bit of a drive, but the scenery along the way is fabulous so you don't even notice. Would definitely come back here again with more friends or family to take advantage of all the rooms and extra beds. There would be plenty of room for several more people. Only downside was beds were a bit firm for our liking, may suggest to owners to do a soft layers in there to add a little squish.

We loved this house! Stayed with 4 adults and 4 children ages 9-11. The views from the deck were gorgeous. Kitchen was well stocked. Kids loved the bunk room and the pool table. The house is very close to the ski resort but a good 30 minutes from town, so had to be strategic about planning our day. Would definitely recommend it.

Recently our family stayed for a long weekend at this location. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the home as well how well stocked the kitchen was for all our meal. The outside deck wrapped around two sides of the house giving us options for taking in the beauty. There were two master bedrooms in the house along with another queen bedroom. The fourth bedroom was a bit small and set up with bunk beds that would be great for younger kids, but we had to use that space for my daughter and her fiance, and it was a bit uncomfortable for them. There is no A/C in the house, but that was no problem at all. We loved opening the windows in the evening after the sun went down which cooled the house quickly. There were many fluffy blankets all around the house to cuddle up in while sitting out on the deck. Communication with Vacation Rental was informative and they responded quickly to our questions. We would absolutely love to return to this property again soon and also use Vacation Rental for other trips.

The kitchen had literally everything a chef would need for a full sit down dining experience. Our kiddo's spent hours learning and playing pool. And they even built their own sledding lunge down the back of the property. Everyone was sad to leave, but we hope to come back for another winter getaway retreat!

Great Winter Getaway
The house was just as described and provided all the comforts of home. It's a great spot for multiple families and it had everything we needed. It's close proximity to Purgatory allowed us more time on the mountain and less time driving. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind trying it out in the summer next time!
