Loved the welcoming drink, cheese milk and biscuits which were left out for us on arrival. Lovely view onto the garden which must be idyllic in the summer with all the bird song.

The property is beautifully unique, clean and inviting. The owners are warm and friendly. The location is perfect for trips into central Bristol with a bus stop very close by.

Accommodation was spotlessly clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Such a quaint place to stay. Shops/bakery/cafe & pub all a few minutes walk away.

A bit difficult to find so lived up to its name being called The Hideaway. There was nothing to not like.

Beautiful getaway. Just what we both needed. Spotlessly clean and the added touch of a small Christmas tree and some decorations made our pre Christmas getaway perfect. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed playing a few board games which where in the apartment and enjoyed a nice cold gin in a tin on arrival, again courtesy of our hosts. All the little details where thought of here and we would most definitely stay again.

Needs a bigger fridge and perhaps another couch to replace the bulky table and chairs provided.

This is a beautiful, bijou place. The owners had remodeled it themselves, with great sensitivity to its history as a forge (the building is 200 years old). Beautiful wood floors with cozy carpet in the bedroom. The furniture is eclectic and tastefully chosen. With a small kitchen and lovely shower room, it had everything that a couple would want. We had use of the garden, which was very pretty. The property is up a short lane, so the parking is on the main road, or across the street on a side-street. Not really an issue, as we always found somewhere to park. I think this place is well suited to a couple who go out to eat during their stay. The kitchen is tiny, with two hob rings (so I was definitely juggling an all-English breakfast I had promised my husband.) But with a kettle and toaster, we were fine. Plus a good size dining table.

This was the most relaxing place i have ever stayed. The Hideaway was beautiful. The fridge was stocked with two G&Ts when we got there. I loved the small snacks and milk that was available too. My Girlfriend and I loved the entirety of our stay The only disappointment I had was that we were not able to stay longer. Honestly the most phenomenal place i have ever had the pleasure to stay at

It was tucked away and the staff left us too it but let us know that if we needed them they were there. It was such a beautiful location and perfect size, and beautiful bit of history on the place.

The only thing was there wasn't an oven or refrigerator. A bit of air con due to the heatwave but that wasn't a huge problem.

I loved how quaint the accommodation was, it was very unique and knowing that the owners renovated and completed most of the work themselves was incredible! Jane left some lovely complimentary drinks and snacks after a long journey and they were definitely appreciated. I could not advise this accomodation more! Thank you again!

We had a beautiful stay at the hideaway and would recommend. Our only issue was the very small fridge. Couldn't cool all our beers, milk and food.at the same time.

The location was lovely- Long Ashton is a cute and charming village, about an hour's walk from town.

A lovely unique place to stay with shops close by and close to Bristol. The little garden was lovely to sit in. Didn't meet the owners but they left some treats for us which was lovely.

Only down side is parking as it is on the road but we were able to park close each time.

Absolutely gorgeous place with everything needed for a comfortable stay and lots of extra thoughtful touches. Brilliant location for easy access to both the city and the countryside and perfect hosts who went above and beyond to help. Very highly recommended.

A lovely property in a quiet location. Everything we needed was at hand and the on-street parking was not an issue. We didn’t get to meet our hosts, as there was no need for us to, but the initial contact was full of useful information.

It is hard to find what not to like! The hosts Jane and Maria keeping the place immaculate! Since we booked we have received couple of messages how to find thel location,parking,etc. , not to worry about anything and we immediately feel that someone care about us! The place is really lovely and it is a hidden gem ! Beautiful little house with nicely done bedroom,bathroom and living space/ kitchen with interesting details. It is unique an very well maintained thankfully to this ladies . Lovely garden ,super quiet. Ideal for short brake! Highly recommended!

The Hideaway is conveniently located at Long Ashton, on the outskirts of Bristol. There are local shops close by and several pubs. It is well appointed, warm and very clean and comfortable.

The mattress was very hard for me. I think it could do with a topper! I know this is personal preference and others may find it okay.
