Great location and spacious

The area the house is located in is an ideal base for those looking for a seaside experience as it sits right on the edge of the amusements and fair ground, with the beach a short walk away. There are numerous bars and places to get food, with a Premier shop across the road and an Asda and Tesco close by. There is space for one car on the drive which is good to keep the car off the road. The facilities in the house were good. Plenty of pots and pans to cook with and a good gas stove and oven to use. There was also a microwave which was handy as well as the fridge/ freezer. Aside from the cleanliness, the house was well presented, homely and was a nice touch to have some milk and biscuits waiting for us when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and a travel cot was provided free of charge. The electric shower was quite good too. When required, the host was easily contactable and happy to help (all we had to ask the location of the key on arrival and how to turn the boiler on). The damage deposit was also paid back very quickly.

On looking at reviews when booking the property, the majority said the property was exceptionally clean. On arrival, we put our daughter down to have an explore and within minutes her clothes were black from crawling around. When getting into bed, we noticed stains on the bedsheets (possibly blood) and also on the towels. We found a replacement sheet to use though. The bath and sink were unclean too. The chairs in the living room had deep pockets as part of the design, unfortunately these had been overlooked for cleaning and contained a build up of dirt and grime. There was a damp tea towel left in the washing machine that made the house smell damp when we arrived. Note: as we had already put our bags down and got settled in etc, we didn't contact the host as we didn't think it would be practical to request the house to be cleaned as we weren't there for long.

Lovely clean very spacious and a good location, would highly recommend really good value for money.

The area was mainly caravans. You would need a car to go anywhere but that wasnt a problem for us. May be an issue for others

Fabulous, really homely, relaxing. Fantastic courtyard garden. Really didn’t want to leave. Would absolutely 100 percent recommend. Barbara our host was there at all times if needed but let us get on with enjoying our stay. The surrounding area is stunning. Great for couples and families. SUPERB
