Beautifully decorated inside and out. Tranquil surroundings. Cozy fireplaces (both indoors and outdoors). Very well equipped kitchen and amenities in general. Friendly helpful hosts. Close to numerous vineyards

The boathouse is a charming french country styled getaway in some of NZ's best wine country. The whole place is thoughtfully and cozily curated. We completely cooked ourselves with the roaring fire on our first night! Plus their gorgeous Cavoodle quickly made friends with ours. We felt like the best fur-parents ever.

Location was serene with magnificent views. Cottage was well equipped and styled beautifully with a European feel. The cottage was well insulated from the cold and the air conditioning or a slow combustion heater provided extra warmth. The host provided every comfort necessary for a perfect stay. The kitchen was well stocked with several pantry items. Bedrooms were spacious with quality bedding and comfortable beds. Cottage was close to wineries, restaurants and scenic walks. The host was friendly, responsive to messages and considerate.
We couldn’t find fault with anything.

Such a beautiful place. It’s clear that lots of much love & time has been invested in setting up the Boathouse. The location is tranquil and a short stroll away from wineries and breweries.

Beautiful styling, idyllic and peaceful. Lovely fruit left for us.
(2 night stay)You are on a highway with not much around that was open. The 3 places that we thought we could eat at (which were in the guide book were all shut-we ended up driving over to Arrowtown). Bring something for breakfast as nothing provided except fruit and milk- and nothing open close by. A coffee(pod) machine would be a nice addition.

it was all very good but perhaps lacked that personal touch. a welcome something would’ve been nice. doesn’t need to be expensive but given they’re in the middle of the fruit bowl of NZ, a
small selection would’ve gone along way. wouldn’t mind paying more. Upon arrival we gave our host some fruit in a box to put in the fridge as we were early for check in. when we returned it was kind of dumped in the fridge on its side in a bowl. beautiful place and worth the money but the hosts seemed a bit over it to be fair.

Everything! The bath, beds, living, surrounds, amenities and decor all exceptional. Such a beautiful stay, so glad to be removed from congestion of Queenstown. Easy drive to wineries, Arrowtown for restaurants, Cardrona for skiing

this property is beautifully appointed, very warm and comfortable, and the outdoor bath and setting was wonderful - couldn’t have asked for more, we hope to visit again some time!

the “French” theme was lovely. The outdoor seating area was private and sunny. the location was great for access to riverside walks.

We both loved the Boathouse property as it was so well equipped and comfortable. the location was perfect for our time in the Gibbston Valley.
There was nothing to dislike.
