Ce nouveau chalet à ossature de bois lumineux et confortable se trouve à un kilomètre et demi de tous les magasins et commodités de Blue Hill, situé au centre du parc national Acadia, de Camden, de Belfast et de Stonington. Une escapade parfaite d'un monde agité.
Asseyez-vous au bord du ruisseau, lisez un livre, faites une sieste bien attendue. Beaucoup de livres, de jeux de société et de jouets pour les enfants. Si vous visitez de petits enfants, nous avons des portes d'escalier, une chaise à manger pour bébés, des plaques en plastique, des tasses et un berceau portable disponible pour votre usage.

Notre chalet de 4 saisons est situé sur Misty Morning Farm qui élève des porcs, des poulets, des abeilles, des arbres fruitiers et des légumes. Le chalet est situé à côté du ruisseau, loin des activités quotidiennes de la ferme, et vous êtes invité à regarder le reste de la ferme pendant la journée (veuillez ne pas entrer dans les bâtiments ni dans les enclos des animaux).
Les invités ont le choix entre l'auto-vérification ou nous vous rencontrons. La porte d'entrée a un pêne dormant code numérique. Les clients reçoivent un code unique à 4 chiffres pour leur séjour. Nous aimons rencontrer des gens mais nous respectons également votre vie privée.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cottage is nicely built and very airy. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Sean was easy to communicate with.

The property was aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Very quiet and clean. The pigs are entertaining and cute. Most importantly, Sean was very helpful, friendly and ready to fix a minor problem. I would recommend staying here.

The cottage and the surrounding area is Maine Perfect. The cottage is as advertised - clean, comfortable, in an ideal setting. We especially loved the hammock for reading and tree-gazing. Great local produce at both local farm stands and the supermarket and Coop. Check out the swimming pool at the Y right around the corner. We spent 3 days hiking and swimming in Blue Hills and 3 days doing the same in Acadia. We highly recommend Misty Mountain Farm!

Sean was incredibly communicative and pleasant to work with. The house was well outfitted with everything we needed (flash lights, beach towels, a small supply of kitchen supplies, cookware, nice dishware, coffee maker, dishwasher etc). There was also the nice touch of added things like umbrellas, hairdryer, sunscreen, hiking maps, etc. The beds were comfortable and linens were high quality. It was a little tricky with small children, as one bed is in the loft and one is in the basement, with steep-ish stairs in both directions to the bathroom on the main floor, so each parent had to sleep with one of the kids (6 and 4yo). There were 2 large pigs on the farm that came out when it was cool. We were expecting more animals to watch, but the pigs were fun when they were out. We day-tripped it all over the Deer Isle/Blue Hill area each day, leaving after breakfast and coming back for dinner. I think we would have gone a little stir-crazy staying at the house, but it was perfect for us.

Midcoast Getaway
We had a fabulous time staying at Misty Morning. The cabin is perfectly set up and had everything we needed. TV in the downstairs is a smart TV with Wi-Fi.
Every day the kids would go visit the pigs and the pigs would come up to the edge of the electric fence wagging their tails. The small hikes around the peninsula and Little Deer Isle/Deer Isle are great. The ticks were out in full force, so always check yourself when you come back inside, but there was even bug spray in the cabin.
The recommendations were spot on as Tinder Hearth and Humblebee are fantastic. It’s a quick 45 min drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia, but honestly Bar Harbor is very crowded and we enjoyed not being there more. All in all, we had a great stay and highly recommend.

Interesting stay
We’d noted a complaint about a noisy floor, and while it was unusual it was not a game changer. Folks with limited mobility should be aware that the bedrooms are above and below but not on the bathroom level. On a rainy day the lack of TV etc. could be a downer.

Floor
Please fix the upstairs bedroom floor! The squeaking was almost unbearable. We thoroughly enjoyed the property as it was calming, well kept and stocked with decent quality cook and dinner ware.
I plan on staying again for a full week, only if the squeaking upstairs bedroom floor is fixed.

Lovely space in a great place
We had a great stay in this comfortable house. It was quiet & clean, well furnished and equipped and had great art in the walls! Its central location allowed easy access to both kayaking & hiking. We appreciated that Sean was very friendly & quickly responsive as needed.

My family came up to blue hill for a lovely summer joint away. Sean’s house was just right for our trip. We enjoyed watching the wild turkeys roam each morning through the wrap around windows while eating breakfast at the large dinning table.

We had a fantastic time staying at the Cozy Cottage in Blue Hill - the house is very well set up with everything you need - the kitchen in particular was amazing - we like to cook, and it had everything we needed, great knives, all the pots and pans you could imagine using. It's also a beautiful restful environment for a holiday - both inside and outside - the house is thoughtfully and tastefully furnished, with lots of local artwork on the walls, and a quiet and private space to sit outside and watch the butterflies and relax.
Blue Hill itself is a lovely little town, with a great bookshop, cafes and restaurants, and offers a perfect base for exploring the region. Big thanks to Sean and family for being great hosts - very responsive to messages, but also respectful of our privacy while we were staying. We hope to come back again. Thank you!

Peaceful getaway

Perfect Farm-Cottage Getaway
Our family of 4 (w 2 kids 7 and 5) loved our stay at Misty Morning Farm. The space was light, clean, well designed, and comfortable. Loved cooking in the kitchen and I loved the fact that the Orgainic Coop and grocery store were less than 2 miles up the road.
Also- It was great being way off the main road and having chicken, pigs, and small brook all within a minute walk of the cottage. If we're in the area again we'll definitely be back! Thanks again Sean!

Just a Perfect Place to Stay!
We loved everything about our stay here. When searching for places near Bar Harbor, I am so glad I happened upon Misty Morning. We loved everything about the cottage and Blue Hill. It was so nice to stay just a bit away from the busy tourist areas. The cottage is a perfect mix of simplicity and luxury. It is well appointed with top notch kitchen supplies, thoughtful artwork and the most comfortable beds. My kids loved seeing the pigs and chickens and exploring the stream behind the cottage. The ping pong and basketball in the barn were also a hit. The animals were clearly so well taken care of. The cottage was spotless... one of the best places we've ever stayed. Though I was nervous traveling during these uncertain times, we felt very safe here as everything was so clean and the cottage was well ventilated.

Incredibly beautiful & serene oasis
My family simply adored this place. The light, the comfy beds, the immensely thoughtful touches all over for living in an intentional way with the space around you. My 4-year-old girls were absolutely enamored of the pigs and chickens and visited them to say hello every morning. I walked down to the stream with coffee and a book one day and the surroundings were gasp-inducingly lovely. Sean helped us with more than one mistake we made super graciously; he was so easy to work with and talk to! Thanks so much for creating one of the best parts of an amazing Maine vacation.

Awesome spot, with or without baby
We visited with our 1 year old daughter and had a blast. The cottage is very nicely appointed -- clean and comfy beds with fresh-feeling linens, sharp Wusthof knives, nice pots and pans and fluffy towels -- everything felt nice and new and high quality (we really hate dull knives at most rental places). It's a wonderful place to stay with a little one. I hadn't realized how many awesome toys and books would be stocked in the cottage, and our daughter loved seeing the pigs and chickens every day, as did we. Great location to explore the peninsula and make day trips to Acadia. Good restaurants nearby, lots of kid-friendly options. And Sean was a wonderful host with great recommendations. Could not speak more highly of this place!

Peaceful Cottage
This is an adorable Cottage! What is there to not enjoy? Perfect for family's with younger children as the house is stocked with books, puzzles,games, and toys. The built in dining nook is perfect for meals and games. We watched a family of turkeys each morning right from the kitchen, along with the adorable pigs frolicking around. The adjacent barn was well used and enjoyed with basketball hoop and ping pong table. We traveled to Acadia and Mount Desert Island most days and it was nice to come back to this peaceful cottage and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. Sean is an excellent host and very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay!

Great time at Misty Morning Farm
My wife and I visited Blue Hill for a few days of adventure in Maine, and chose this cottage as our lodging in the area. It's a nice, clean, simple design, and looks to be only a few years old, and the location on a small working farm adds to the experience. The cottage is quiet and private, yet only about a mile from the nearest grocery store, and two miles from "downtown" Blue Hill. We had fun exploring the property and interacting with the animals, especially the three pigs who were always really excited to see us. Lots of things to do in the area, with good access to Acadia and Bar Harbor, without having to deal with a huge density of tourists. The property owner kept in touch with us many times prior to the trip, and once we arrived made sure we got settled in, and was available for any questions or advice about the area. Overall, this property gets a high recommendation from us and we'd like to return in the future to check out Deer Isle and some more of the unique towns in the area.

I would highly recommend this property! It was perfect to come back to after day trips to the surrounding areas. We loved the beautiful rural location away from the crowds, but still close to town. We also enjoyed visiting the chickens and the pigs on the property! The owner is great with communication and the property was very clean with games, books, a cooler, umbrellas, and anything else you might need.

Lovely in every way
Enjoyed our time in Blue Hill immensely! The cottage on the farm was everything promised & more. Sean’s kind spirit permeates the farm. Our 8 year son thought it was paradise...in particular the basketball court in the barn!

Awesome setting, very clean!
We loved our stay. The property was as cool as Acadia NP! Beautiful creek with a bridge and hammock, thick woods, turkeys... and more! We loved seeing the pigs on the farm- they were adorable and we could even see them from our kitchen and bedroom window. House has a fully stocked kitchen (with excellent pots and pans- better than what we have at home), and tons of books, games, and toys that the kids enjoyed. Sean was very easy to communicate to and work with. Would highly recommend.

Serene perfection!
I can't imagine a more perfect HomeAway experience than our stay at this cottage. The space itself is all we could ask for and more. While it may look small, it LIVES large. The inside is perfectly designed to maximize space and the aesthetics of natural wood beamed ceilings and white walls will give you a Scandinavian feel. Even the artwork is perfectly chosen to create a serene experience. The cottage is a masterpiece of environmentally friendly architectural design. Even better was the thoughtfulness of our hosts. On arrival we were greeted with a bowl of fresh eggs, a bottle of pure maple syrup and a jar of homemade blueberry jam...all produced on the farm. There was even a surprise for our five year old daughter addressed to her by name. Forgot to buy coffee at the store? No worries, there are freshly ground beans on the counter. Filters? They are there too. How about a cup of tea? Yup. Everything has been thought of. We were lucky enough to have some significant snow during our late November stay. Without even being asked our hosts dropped off a sled for our daughter and gave us directions to the two best sledding hills in town. The entire experience was one of extraordinary care and thoughtfulness. I can't recommend it enough.

Perfect weekend getaway
My mother came in from Wisconsin to visit the East Coast and we decided to stay at this beautiful exposed wood beam cottage. The cottage sits on a small farm and the friendly pigs always greeted us when we stepped outside. We went hiking in the back woods and the running stream made for amazing fall pictures. The abundance of books made for a relaxing time away from technology.
This cottage looks deceiving from the outside in size but its very roomy inside with beautiful exposed wood beams and hardwood floors.
This cottage is perfect for 2 couples or 4 people total in size. Thank you Sean for opening your beautiful cottage to us, will definitely rent again.

Wonderful Property and Gracious Hosts
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property! The cabin was beautiful and the location was quite peaceful. We arrived late at night and it took several attempts to find the property from the roadway. I’m sure had we arrived during daylight hours it would be easier. The homemade jam and farm eggs were a very nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect little get away cottage
First, I would like to compliment Sean on his speedy communication and quick replies.
My husband and I were looking for a long weekend get away in Maine. It has always been on our bucket list. We found the pictures and description of the cottage to be just adorable and what we were needing for the weekend. The pictures and descriptions were EXACTLY what we saw and read.
The cottage was clean, bright, and very well insulated (we are from Florida so we very much appreciate a well insulated place). The jam and eggs left as complimentary welcome gifts were amazing. We also tried the apple butter and syrup that were also made on the farm, which too were amazing. The pigs, chickens, and turkeys on property were just a joy to watch.
Blue Hill is a good spot for day trips to Bar Harbour and Acadia National Park as well as Deer Isle and Stonington.
We would highly recommend this chic cozy cottage as it was very comfortable, clean, in a good location, and Sean was a joy to communicate with. We missed him by just a few minutes but would have loved to have met him and learn more about his farm.
