The property is across the street from ocean Sitting on lani, all you see is water. And hear the waves. Very peaceful. We ate out lots, as there are plenty of excellent restaurants close by. Also a Thai massage facitlity on the premises. I went 4 times. Great holiday

Excellent location. Condo had everything we needed. Gorgeous view of ocean, bay, sunset. Ed and Karen were great about communicating with us. They left us some yummy snacks and coffee. So kind of them. Would recommend their condo to others.

Amazing views and sounds of the ocean. Condo and pool were very clean. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. The condo was well stocked and had everything needed. View from the property is amazing. There is a road downstairs and multiple restaurants and stores around. The beach is rocky and is most just for the view. We drove to the beaches which are about 10 min drive or so. We loved the Kua bay beach a couple of miles up the airport which itself is a short drive.

This condo was in the perfect location, in the heart of Kona and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The condo had everything we needed and was well stocked. The most amazing part though was the view. Perfect huge ocean view. We sat on the lanai frequently and watched the dolphins and snorkelers and cruise ships. So so beautiful! Thanks!!

every bit as nice as advertised. perfect view. we ate in for most meals so kitchen, appliances and supplies were perfect. bed could maybe use an upgrade soon but was okay. the owners were awesome and super helpful. easy check-in. which was nice since we didn't arrive until midnight. pool was great.

We enjoyed our stay at Karen & Ed's condo. The view from the lanai is unbeatable. It was nice to be close enough to walk to everything near by. The road is somewhat loud but does get drowned out by the crashing waves. The afternoon sun comes in but we closed the shades on the lanai and as soon as it set, opened everything up and ran all the fans to cool it down for sleeping. Thanks for everything!

Wake up every morning to the crashing waves of the ocean, clear blue skies and a cup of Kona coffee! A great little place to relax, sight see and have some great night life and food! This condo is tastefully decorated, clean, and comes with everything you would need. Wonderful place to vacation. Would highly recommend!!😉

The unit is nicely decorated and has new looking carpet in the living area and the bedroom. The kitchen and bathrooms are on the small side but certainly adequate. The full size washer and dryer is very handy. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies as are the bathrooms. The unit has everything you need and extras like beach chairs snorkel masks coolers and boogie boards. The location is great, right in central Kona within walking distance of everything. Very nice views from the lanai. The pool is nice and you might well have it to yourself. There is no a/c but we kept everything opened up and the fans on. There are extra fans if you need them. We were able to keep things at a comfortable temperature. The owners were responsive to questions. We had a great time there and would recommend staying there.

You simply cannot beat the view or location of this property. We watched dolphins swim and jump every morning from the lanai. There is no a/c and when we first arrived, I thought we had made a mistake. However, once the lanai doors were opened, we were really fine the rest of the time. There was a lot of dust throughout the condo but overall it was clean. We had a wonderful time and I would stay here again.

This is a well located unit and was a good size. The owners had made sure of small things you may need while staying there. While there is no A/C, we didn't feel need for it (in 2nd week of June). The breeze more than makes up for it if you open curtains. The unit is on the 5th floor which gives you a wonderful view of the ocean as well as the street and restaurants down below. I called the owner with a question and he was very nice. I highly recommend it.

Located in downtown Kona, made gettimg around a breeze, the view is amazing, great amenities, we would not hesitate staying here again.

We loved the property and it is exactly as shown. No surprises. It was warm without AC so we slept in the front room. The bed was not comfortable but it was worth overlooking since the rental Az a whole was so nice. We enjoyed the added touches like coffee, Mac nuts, a sweet card.

Karen & Ed are very responsive to questions & needs. We enjoyed the views, very comfortable beds! Even the Murphy bed. The extra goodies & beach equipment was a nice touch & helped make our visit great. If you’re looking for an air conditioned fancy resort, look elsewhere. This complex has great tradewind breezes coming thru the entire unit & feels wonderful! We loved it! Thanks again!

Very good location - excellent view from the lanai. One bedroom with a Murphy bed in the living room. Two full bathrooms. Full size washer and dryer in the unit. Easy walk to the local restaurants and shops.

Can't rave about the unit and the location anymore because it just encourages other people to scoop up reservations. :-)

The property was in a good location and the facilities were nice. On the downside, there wasn't any AC which was disclosed before we came so it's at your discretion but it was extremely warm at times. The entire condo is in need some deep cleaning especially the floors and walls.

This property was exactly as depicted. The views from the lanai were beatiful! It was in the low 80s every day and 70s overnight; we never felt we needed air conditioning. The street noise can be loud at times, but the patio doors did a great job of silencing that when it got to be too much. The unit was stocked with too many things to list, which we thoroughly appreciated! But, the highlights for us were the beach mats and chairs, snorkel gear, pool noodles, and extra beach towels. The Murphy Bed was actually quite comfortable (at least for one adult). The location has a walkable score of 10/10. Parking was super easy to get in/ out of. The communication with the owners was excellent and the written instructions were very much appreciated! We would stay here any day of the week! Thank you!!

We have stayed in this building before. Everything was perfect. I like my AC but we were very comfortable at night with a ceiling fan. Actually got cool after midnight and had to shut the door. Parking is a breeze and check-in is beyond easy. Right in the middle of everything. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location to watch beautiful sunsets from the lanai - *5 STARS* Living/dining room and kitchen very clean. Bedroom was clean except for the ceiling and dresser fans (we never used them). Need blackout blinds on the bedroom window. It was great having 2 bathrooms however they are dated and could use a reno (new taps, wallpaper, etc.) Definitely missed not having air conditioning. Condo building was very clean as was the pool and deck area. Lots of great eating options within walking distance. Beaches within walking distance weren't great. Definitely need a car to get around. VRBO hosts provided directions and codes a week before we arrived which was great and much appreciated. Overall, we had a great time!

Property was perfect and central to everything around Kona. Condo had everything you would need.

Great location !! Ocean view was amazing - listening to the surf crash was very soothing and trade winds and breezes made up for no A/C . Carpet should be removed as it was stained in places . Having the welcome basket with coffee was outstanding as we arrived too late to shop . Thankyou for sharing your property with us .

we really enjoyed the area , the view of the oceans was superb. the condo was not. Thick with dust. Had everything we needed just not clean. restaurants were right beside our building , lots of restaurants, great street. the condo needs to be renovated.

Excellent condo, great location, quite, clean, always has enough dishes, laundry, bedding etc. The host always has a bag of coffee and it's not the cheap stuff. Instructions are very clear regarding the rental. We purchased wine glasses and left them for the next renters who wants to have a glass of wine.

We enjoyed the ocean views and balcony the most in this unit! The balcony furniture is nice and very comfortable. The location cannot be beat- central downtown Kona and surrounded by shops and restaurants. We didn’t find the street noise bad as Kona tended to quiet down by 10pm each night. The ocean wave sounds were fairly loud though. We saw no bugs or cockroaches in the unit so it was great that way. Kitchen has everything you need and there are some beach supplies in the closet which was nice. Our only complaints would be the dust in the bedroom on the ceiling/fan etc. There was a lot of dust and we didn’t use the bedroom ceiling fan out of concern of inhaling it. Also, the bedroom window could use some curtains or blinds to keep the room dark at night. The exterior walkway lights really light up the room at night through the glass shutters. The king bed was comfortable however and the bedroom stayed cool all night with the windows open. Having two bathrooms was a bonus as well. Overall, the unit is a bit dated and could use some updating and a deep dust cleaning, but it was quite comfortable and provided what we needed to have a great stay in Kona!

Great location for exploring Kailua/Kona and as a base to explore the island. The condo is clean and spacious with large balcony and beautiful ocean view. Owners are very responsive and friendly. We would definitely return and recommend.

Let me get the negatives out of the way to begin: No Air conditioner meaning open window living. We used many of the fans provided for air circulation and cooling while we were inside the unit. The Lanai did have metal blinds that could be pulled in the afternoon to block the sun and reduce the heat. The open windows also led to much dust that was collected on the fans, lamps, tables and countertops. Regular dusting of these areas is desperately needed. The unit did seem less than clean. Kitchen was cramped for 2 people. Most days it took at least several minutes for the shower to get to hot water. I would think that is a precious resource on Hawaii and I hated to see a waste of that much water. The Positives: The location was perfect for where all the action is. In the middle of tourism. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and parks. No transportation needed. Although there was a safe and covered area for vehicles. Bed was a very comfortable king. Had good nights sleeps. Pool was great, clean and spacious. It was mostly shaded in the late afternoons, which may affect sun worshippers. In the same area was the BBQ where we prepared our dinners more than once. When we ate at the condo, we always ate out on the spacious Lanai viewing spectacular sunsets, the ocean and the people and cars along Ali'i Dr. Security for the building was very good in that the lobby wasn't open for the general public as well as the pool and BBQ areas. The stackable washer and dryer was very adequate for the 2 of us. The cooktop and oven as well as the dishwasher were newer appliances and worked well for us. I did complain about some tenants that were smoking while we were using the Lanai. The owners did act immediately on this and got the manager to assist in this. This is a very safe, secure and conveniently located property. Even without AC, I would choose this place again just only because of the location in town, parking and the pool. Sorry to give this a 4 star review, because this place has so much potential. I still enjoyed myself.
