Me and a group of friends stayed at this amazing house for a long weekend during 4th of July week. This house provided everything we needed and more. It was so spacious for me and my 12 friends. Also the wagons, beach chairs, and water floats came in handy for our beach days! 10/10 recommended.

This is a great house to stay in. We spent 6 nights with 11 of us. Every age group had a blast. Constant comunication with host if we needed anything. If you book this house, you will not be disappointed. 5 minute walk to the public beach access.

I must say the name of this home says it all! We are not one to be around a lot of people and usually come down and stay out on Fort Fisher 4 wheel drive beach everyday. This home is away from it all and even during Memorial Day weekend, we felt like we were the only one's on the island while at Tranquility Base. It's very spacious and had so much more than we would ever use. Ample parking (my husband's 2500 PowerWagon fit under the garage). Communication was on point with the rental company. Although we didn't experience any issues during our stay, they made sure we knew we could reach out to them anytime. We will stay again!

Overall, our stay at this property was fantastic. All the facilities were as advertised and clean. The location is premium and close to all local attractions. The home is beautifully decorated. However, some decor items are fragile and are within reach of little hands. We had to move the fragile decor in reach of our little ones and place it back when checking out. Other than this, this location is the perfect family getaway. We had fun and the house was great for our group (two infants, 3 children, a teenager and several adults). The property is well stocked and we look forward to making this location our home away from home. Thank you!

Easy check in Sunday evening, very nice, clean, well furnished house with plenty of space for our family of 10. Easy walk to beach access, and it isn’t right on the main drag. We really enjoyed our five day trip. Worth the 9 hour ride to get here.

Tranquility base was the perfect house for the entire family for our vacation! We were so comfortable. There was plenty of space to relax. Being able to take our two Golden Retrievers was a plus!
The beach access was a 5-10 minute walk based on the speed. We got used to it. The only thing better would be if the house was on the beach with direct access.
Overall a great place to stay!

The house was wonderful and the location was fantastic. It was close to everything including the beach with a short walk. We enjoyed all the porches of the house and when our ice machine wasn’t working, it was serviced quickly. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommend!

This is our 4th time coming to Tranquility Base. The only "problem" is that we can never stay as long as we like! Love the fully stocked kitchen. So much space to spread out both inside and out. This was the first time we had a second family come with, and it went without a hitch.

The home was clean and welcoming, the location was perfect and Kure beach is an amazing place.
The 4x4 beach was a hit and so were the long walks in Fort Fisher State Recreation area.

We love staying in Kure Beach. This was the second time we have stayed at Tranquility Base. It is the perfect house for a family of six adults. The home is very well kept and we have no complaints. The locked storage area outside is perfect for your bikes and the bike racks and the beach chairs and other beach supplies are a tremendous help. We love this home!

Nice spot with easy access to the beach. Beach is realizing some erosion but still plenty of room. There were some surfable waves. Riding bikes and walking on the beach road is a bit risky since it is the only access to Fort Fisher at this end of the beach; and the speed limit goes up to 35 mph.

We had a great visit during the week of Thanksgiving. It was just what we needed. It was so nice arriving to a Christmas tree with a beach theme. The layout allowed us to spread out and really enjoy ourselves but also have some space. Beds were comfy and the many porches were super nice. No complaints. The only thing I would note is that the walk to the beach is a little longer than described - not much but a little longer, something I thought I'd mention. However, without a doubt we would return again. It was so clean too, something that is really important to our family. If you are looking for a place to rent, look no further!

Enjoyed Tranquility Base with my family. Much needed vacation for everyone. The beach house was beautifully decorated. Appliances up to date. Balconies galore! And screened in porches! Loved it! No complaints! Plenty of chairs/tables for game nights. Check in/out booklet was resourceful as well as communication went smoothly. I received an email a week in advance as well as a txt message from the number I needed to txt if I needed anything. Plenty of rooms and beds for the amount of people that went. We had 2- one year olds and of course we held them when we walked to the beach. The beach access was a decent walk from the beach house. Maybe less than a 5 minute walk. We used the beach wagon that was available which made the walk manageable. Gas grill was used. The only thing I did not like and am sadden by- we were unable to play cornhole or use the outside tables and enjoy the ambient lighting provided while my dad BBQ’d. The mosquitoes ate us alive so we opted to playing games inside the well air conditioned home. My parents are aging so this was a beautiful home away from home for them to enjoy. Also Fort Fisher and the aquarium is a quick drive away to venture to. I would definitely go back and make more memories!

We loved our stay so much! The house exceeded our expectations; it was well stocked, very clean and so comfortable. The communication was always clear and covered everything so we didn't have any uncertainty or have to reach out to clarity anything. We have already recommended this beach house to friends. I cannot say enough about this rental property! Our family was so happy with our stay. A 5 minute walk to the beach, wrap around patios, plenty of beach toys, and room for everyone! We will definitely be back again!

This beach home was even more luxurious than we’d anticipated. It was spacious, sparkling clean, comfortable for both sleeping and for hanging out as a family, and located in a perfect place. Quiet but only minutes to walk to the beach, we heard the ocean when we were sitting on one of the many porches. The kitchen couldn’t have been better stocked, with every imaginable pot, pan, utensil, and dishes. It just fit our needs perfectly and I hope we can return for more tranquility in the future.

Very well equipped w/ plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and cookware which was great between dishwashing cycles. Loved the open living area space for everyone to hang out and the screened in patio areas to be outside w/o too many bugs. It was also great being able to bring my dog! The outside area had dog bags available and he loved being on the outside patio areas as well. The ITrip folks were very communicative/helpful via text about check-in/out instructions and questions. Walk to beach was not bad at all and not busy which was great for a July 4th trip!

Had a lovely Christmas stay at Tranquility Base with my immediate family. They allowed for an early checkin and the space was everything as advertised. We were there over Christmas so they even had a beach themed Christmas tree set up. The only downside was the shower water could have been warmer. Otherwise a great stay and would highly recommend.

Tranquility Base was a wonderful vacation rental. It's location is private, quiet and close to public beach access. There is a short walk on the main road, but it was easy and we felt safe. The rental was clean, arranged well for two families and the kitchen was well stocked. You won't go wrong renting Tranquility Base.

Our growing family rented 2 Kure Beach rentals this year. We all enjoyed the clean and comfortable beds, the great kitchen for our holiday dinner and 80th birthday party for my husband. There was plenty of room for everyone inside and out! We will definitely keep this rental in mind for future rentals!

We loved this home. It was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. The home was immaculate. The beds were so comfortable and everything was perfect for our family. There was so much room that our crew never felt crowded. The group at iTrip was amazing also. They responded so quickly when I had a question. We were prepared to pull our trash to the road and someone from itrip arrived and pulled our trash cans to the road for us. That is just unheard of. I will definitely use them again when I am searching for a vacation home

The host is very hospitable. The location is very private, and a short walk to the beach access makes it simple. The house was very clean, everything was operational and functional. Outdoor shower is very practical, which kept the house clean during our stay. The AC was working well to keep the house comfortable, and all the appliances worked fine.
