We came to the island for my niece’s wedding and chose this house because it is so close to the hub of the wedding festivities. And that aspect worked out well. The house was clean, light-filled and spacious. All good so far. Now for the not-so-good details: I slept in the downstairs bedroom with a double bed. I woke up every morning drenched in sweat despite the window open to the cool sea breezes. The problem was the cheap Amazon Basics 100% polyester sateen sheets and the waterproof mattress pad and pillow protectors. I felt like I was sleeping an a Saran Wrap sleeping bag - yuck. Also, this bedroom had no shelves, hooks or drawers, so there was no place to unpack and put away my things for easy access. I had to leave my suitcase on the floor of the closet and dig though to find things. This would be easy to remedy - put a chest of drawers in the huge closet, install some hooks.....Finally, sound really travels in this house with the open stairway, so if you have kids sleeping downstairs you must be very quiet upstairs after they have gone to bed.

The house is in a perfect location near Eagle Cove Beach (where we saw 2 Humpbacks right off shore), and walking distance to the trails to American Camp and South Beach. The property itself is updated, with plenty of room for a family or group of friends. Finally, the view of the water and Olympic Peninsula from the back deck is wonderful.

Spent the 4th of July long weekend/week at this beautiful property. Check-in was easy. Very clean home with well-stocked, huge kitchen. Comfortable beds and futons for our large family. We enjoyed the puzzles, ping-pong table and large yard with a view of the Juan de Fuca strait and Olympic range. Short drive (longer walk if taking children) to Eagle Cove beach. Close to historical sites. The grill was well maintained. Wifi can be spotty for streaming depending on where you are in the house but this seems to be common on San Juan island. Would stay here again anytime.

House was as described. House was clean and well maintained. Located in a nice, quiet, area of the island. Entrance to American Camp was at the end of the road. House had everything we needed. House was warm upon arrival since has no AC and blinds were left up upon our arrival; wish they would have been down. After arrival, we left blinds down during the day and temp. was fine. Saw deer and fox in the back yard. Would diffidently stay again.

Somewhat Disappointed
Very roomy home and for the most part nicely remodeled. The water view was very filtered. For as large as a home this is there is only
one TV which would be alright but it is downstairs. Also the master bathroom is very nice but water for the shower was warm but not hot and didn't drain well.

Beautiful home on San Juan Island!
My friends and I came to San Juan Island for a wedding and this place was big enough for all 6 of us to spread out and have privacy if needed. We didn’t cook in the kitchen but the kitchen was nice and spacious and seemed to be well stocked and the beds were super comfy! The views of the ocean were beautiful and the place is just a short drive to the harbor area. My only feedback is there was no iron/ironing board and we had all traveled from out of state for the wedding, so we had to go to the wedding with wrinkly clothing. Otherwise great trip and would highly recommend a stay here!

Quiet location with lots of space to spread out.
Quiet neighborhood. Loved the island! I could eat breakfast on the deck every morning! Great living space. Clean. They weren't joking when they said checkout right at 10! The cleaning lady was there at 9:55AM but was friendly. Loved the island. Loved the vibe. Very peaceful location.

Our stay at Eagle Cove Haven was perfect with our grandkids! There was plenty of yard to run and play outside and the location was easy getting to the sights we wanted to see. It was clean and equipped with all the necessary kitchen items plus games for the kids. It also has a beach close by and a view from the home of the ocean. I would recommend this property and would stay here again!

Great location
Great newly remodeled kitchen allowed us to cook and bbq during our stay. Location was great, a short walk to the beach and even shorter walk to the San Juan Islands National Park. Only 15 min. Bike ride into town. We were able to ride our bikes from the house in many directions. Large lawn area for frisbee or running around. Located on a quiet street. Plenty of room for a family of 7 adults.

Home recently renovated - owner pride very evident. Communication was great. We arrived after dark; they had turned on the lights for us and had soothing music playing on the TV.

Great House and Great Location
Very clean and well-equipped house with lots of sunshine, a nice deck, and wonderful views of the Sound and Olympics. Kitchen was fully stocked and the range had a built-in grill and griddle which worked well. Yard is large and was great for throwing the frisbee and ball around. House is a short walk to Eagle Cove Beach and American Camp.

My siblings and I stayed in this home for a week and had the best time. We love visiting the San Juan’s and this house was perfect for spreading out and for family dinners and games. The yard is absolutely amazing and the deck was perfect for grilling and hanging out in the evenings. The house was equipped with everything you could need. Our group of 4 had a blast. The home was located v. close to Friday Harbor, easy walking distance to the beach and great hiking trails along the beach. Kitchen was amazing and extra supplies of TP, paper towels, soaps, etc. were appreciated. Highly recommend. My only suggestions would be a second TV for upstairs and maybe a larger bed for the master. Everything was superb and comfortable. We'd not hesitate to stay again. Beautiful, Comfortable, and Clean
Everything about this house was a delight. Check in and out were simple, with clear directions and COVID precautions. The kitchen was well stocked, grill was great, and the beds were comfy. The views were amazing. We watched the moon rise over the mountains and the sea every night! Would definitely stay again.

Plumbing problem disrupted family b’day celebration
The main water line to the house broke and all water service had to be shut off during repairs, and our 2 families with kids had to leave house to wash/shower/use toilet. We had a family b’day celebration planned that had to be canceled. Property Mngr. responded promptly to initial call, but we were not called to say when we could return and use water again. When we returned to house at end of day, water service was restored, but our family celebration was cancelled and Property Mngr never followed up. An otherwise pleasant stay was marred by plumbing failure and poor response by Property Mngr.

Family Trip
Beautiful home in nice location and only about a 15 minute drive to central Friday Harbor. The 2 levels with master bedroom on main level worked well for our family. Furniture was very comfortable, and they even had puzzles, games, and toys for kids. Audrey with San Juan Property Mgmt. was very nice and called us before we arrived to tell us that the house was ready, and called again the next day to make sure everything was okay. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were overall happy with the rental, especially the location and view. The sunny southern exposure in the Northwest is worth the price of admission. The property was very clean, and we enjoyed the access to Netflix on the tv. One suggestion is to add some more items in the kitchen (bigger pots and pans, serving platters, etc.) so that guests can entertain. There were plates for 10 but the only way to do this without borrowing kitchenware (as we did) would be to order in. The refrigerator is also a weird design as the door does not easily close and bottles of wine must be stored in the drawers as they fly out of the doors. You might also consider a way to get access to HBO -- you do not need to pay for a subscription as most guests will have this, but there was no way to put this on the TV.
