Excellent location and facilities. Sandra is very nice and welcoming, she gave us lots of tips to visit Terceira as a local. We enjoyed trying to speak Portuguese with her, we loved the language and the country. Our room had views of the mountain and the sea. Birds and cows surrounded us. Terceira is an amazing island and Casa de Platano is one of the best places to be based.

our stay was incredible from the first second to the very last. sandra is such a beautiful soul. we felt like our mum is taking care of us. she helped us with out plans, drove us to the supermarket and added just the right thing to make this stay one to remember. very grateful, would recommend staying there! greetings 🙏🏽♥️

peaceful properly w a careful attention to creating the right home atmosphere. owner was always willing to help give guidance on travel, talk about the culture, and great meals in the weekend restaurant on property. extremely happy w my stay as a solo traveler looking to explore

The breakfast was alwas yery good. Due to sunny days we always could have our breakfast outside. Sandra and her always smiling help are very very friendly and we had also good private talks with Sandra. There are bathing places nearby and a small cheese factory.

The street in front of the house is over the day sometimes noisy, but at night there is no traffic

We loved the overall experience and feel of the place. It is a beautiful house and equipped with furniture that suits its heritage. The garden is beautiful. The breakfast was very nice and personally served. The owners (and Tootsie, the Collie) made us feel very welcome. We were a bit sad to leave Sandra's place.

We loved our stay at Casa do Platano, thank you to Sandra and Andre! There was an incredible breakfast and the location was stunning, with the views of other islands and the mountains behind the house. We were very comfortable in our room and private bathroom and loved the access to the pool and beautiful garden in the backyard.

There were a few centipedes in our room that we had to kill, but other than that it was a great stay.

Casa do Platano is not just a place to sleep and eat.. It is a place where you are welcome by fantastic people who make you feel like at home! Beautiful location with both the ocean and the mountains view:) Specious, well maintained garden for relaxation time. The host gives you lots of useful advices where to go to enjoy the local life and delicious crusine. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back! Thank you Anna

Everything! The location is great just walking distance from Queijo Vaquinha cafe. The room was extremely clean and the host was alway very helpful!

Lovely place with great hosts. Breakfast was amazing, we had it outside everyday due to the beautiful weather but lovely indoor dining room as well. Great location with sea nearby with good places to swim and snorkel. Due to size of island if you have a car its easy to get anywhere. Would definitely stay again.

Casa do Plátano is a wonderful place: a BnB with a lovely garden, pool and terrace with both views to the ocean and the green hills of Terceira. The breakfast was good and relaxing and Sandra also opens a little bodega on Friday and Saturday and offers homemade food to her guests. I truely felt being at home. If I image a place where to live one day, it gets close to how Casa do Plátano looks like! I can absolutely recommend to stay there!

The owners were very nice and attentive to requests. The place looks brand new, lots of natural light and breezes. Our queen room had lots of space. The location was perfect if you have a car, only a short drive to a lot of great spots.
