We loved the cabin and all the amenities! Cooke City was a really cool town. The old town charm was a welcome sight.

We stayed 5 nights. Great place- very private.
Well kept home. We cooked a few meals. Well equipped. Spent every evening on the deck.
Loved the town of Cooke city. Great restaurants and a cool bar or 2.
Rented side by sides and went of Lulu pass.
The driveway was a bit of a challenge for bagger motorcycles- but doable!
5 stars!

A great property, well equipped and conveniently located near Yellowstone NP and Beartooth Highway/pass. Everything was just as pictured. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations!

This property is fantastic if you wish to explore the Lamar Valley area of Yellowstone. Cooke City is small but there are a few cafes and shops, I would recommend getting groceries before arriving to Cooke City. The house is comfortable and well stocked and the real attraction is that you can get to Lamar Valley in a short time, which is great if you want to see wildlife early morning or evening.

Could not ask for anything better!!! We feel at home here, year after year. We had a winter wonderland in May! It snowed at least a foot. This cabin is nicely equipped with everything you will need for your stay. There was even a friendly red fox who came by to visit several evenings. We look forward to our next adventure at Two Rib cabin!

We did not use the property to its full potential, doing no cooking of our own. The kitchen had everything we could have needed but we our decision was to make our morning coffee and eat our meals out. Good food at the Miners Saloon, Bistro Cafe, and Cooke City Coffee!
Enjoying our coffee in the early morning light of the living room was delightful. Returning in the evenings after a busy day in Yellowstone, felt like coming home.
The three of us are older adults with bad hips and knees. The trips to the loft where two of us slept were somewhat challenging, but we knew about that going in and made the best of it.
All in all, a lovely place to stay and use as a base to enjoy Yellowstone.

The cabin’s location is great for accessing the Bear Tooth highway and Yellowstone
park. The description and photos accurately represent the property. It was a wonderful size for the two of us. Really appreciated the great supply of dry firewood for the stove - took the chill off while relaxing after hiking. The kitchen was well stocked. Entire place was very clean. We felt quite comfortable for our 3 night stay. One annoyance - request that we take our garbage and recyclables to local dump which isn’t open at checkout time.

We stayed at this location in the past, and it is wonderful. We highly recommend it.

Love the area. Loved it so much that we lost track of the days and unintentionally stayed a day too long. Lucky for us ,nobody was booked the day after our stay. Lucky for the property manager, he cashed in on a extra day.

Great cabin in Cooke City. Secluded spot, but you can still walk to downtown. Nice, clean cabin, the only negative is highway noise during the day, but that tapers off around 8 pm.

Peaceful, Clean Cabin in Great Location
Lovely Cabin with all the basic necessities. Very clean and inviting. Location is ideal for the northern part of the park. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. Communication was good with the owner as well. Always tough to leave a beautiful area and cabin, thanks for a great stay!

Great Cabin!!!
We loved our stay here. This place is incredibly clean. Very comfortable as well. We like to spend our evening sitting and reading. There were several locations where one could comfortably sit and read. Great place! We look forward to staying here again

Beautiful open-concept cabin!
Exceptionally clean cabin in Cooke City where we spend one or two vacation trips every year. The kitchen/living/dining area was large and comfortable. We set our spotting scopes on the front deck from which we enjoyed views of Saturn, Jupiter and the Milky Way.
This trip included my 80+ year old mother who had difficulty getting in/out of the tub/shower since it is a claw-foot tub that sits 6” higher off the floor than she is accustomed. By paying attention, she was able to manage it so this comment is for others to be mindful.
Lilly sent thorough instructions in advance for the entire check-in/out process.

Home Sweet Home
This cabin was AMAZING!!! We stayed 4 nights of our 14 night trip to Yellowstone. Everything we needed was inside this cabin. The wood stove made every September day end relaxing. We saw wolves 3 different days because of how close to Lamar Valley that we were. You want peace and seclusion? This town is only 1 street. You can truly unplug and reset. Of the 6 places that we stayed this was by far my favorite! If I get the chance to go back to Yellowstone this will be my first choice!

Dream Cabin
This cabin was all that was advertised and more. It was close to our destination, Yellowstone, as well as to other hiking trails. It was cozy and very comfortable; the wood-burning stove was an awesome addition. Really everything that we needed was there.
Although the surrounding small towns are closing down for winter, we were able to find some delicious meals in local restaurants.
Our only hitch was the extremely difficult-to-operate lock box that housed the key to the property. It definitely needs some repair.
Otherwise, our experience was absolutely wonderful.

Great time in cabin at Cooke City
The location of the cabin was great. Very close to Yellowstone Northeast gate. The cabin was very clean, well maintained, and quite comfortable. The stay fully met our expectations. Highly recommend this cabin, if you want to explore the Lamar Valley and northern region.

Great property!
Perfect for our family! The location is ideal for walking to town and we rented a side-by-side for a day in the mountains. We loved having one tv in the cabin (upstairs in the loft) so we were truly able to unplug and take in the experience. Lilly was great to work with and everyone in town was very kind (we even had a buffalo walking beside our pickup as we drove on the west side of town!). Definitely recommend this location!

Well appointed home with a great location for walking to Cooke City. Perfect location for accessing the North East park entrance and the Beartooth Pass. Nice porch to relax on after a full day.

Wonderful stay
We had an amazing experience in the Two Rib Cabin. It was our home away from home. The kids were always excited to return back to the cabin once we had a long day out and about in Yellowstone. It had everything we needed.

Lovely Cabin
What a wonderful and peaceful place. We enjoyed every second of our stay. Spotlessly clean and everything you need to be cozy and comfortable. Lily was a joy to work with. When we first walked in I said, "I will never want to leave" and when it was time to go I said "I never want to leave." We really hope to return sometime sooner rather than later.

Cabin was nice, check-in not so much
I received our email that it was the access to our cabin. There was information but no key code to access the cabin. I tried calling the owner but her voicemail was full. I called VBRO and was told they would call me back in a few hours. No call was received from VBRO until the day we were scheduled yo leave. I also tried emailing the owner. Thank goodness for April at Super8, who called people she knew to track down the cabins housekeeper. She was able to get the code to the key box and we were able yo get in. If not for April we would have been out over a thousand dollars. This was stressful to day the least. This experience will make me think twice about using VBRO. This cabin is nice, not as secluded as the pictures make you believe. But a quiet little town with close access to Yellowstone.

Paradise twice around
This was our second stay at Two Ribs cabin!!! We knew what to expect, and it didn’t disappoint! This cabin just feels like home to us. It is well equipped, and has everything you will need for your Yellowstone adventure. The evenings are cool, and sounds from the creek will put you to sleep. We will return soon. Thanks for sharing your mountain cabin!

Cozy and comfortable cabin in the mountains just outside Yellowstone's northeast entrance
The cabin is nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable. Cozy sitting area around the wood stove that really heats up the cabin. Nice view through some trees of the mountains. The owner, Lilly, provides very detailed information before arrival and has a guest info binder in the cabin. Lilly responds quickly to emails and phone calls. We would happily stay here again. You will need 4WD or AWD in the winter.

Sleds and skis
Great place for my wife and I to spend a few days with our adult children and their SOs. End of the road privacy was great, the wood stove kept the place plenty warm and enough room for everyone. Its cozy but its all we needed after a day of snowmobiling and XC skiing.

Great alternative to a hotel for snowmobiling
Had some friends that stayed at a local hotel at the same time. They were pretty jealous of our home cooked breakfasts and dinners. Worked out OK for 5 guys, 4 would have been a bit easier. We brought a blow up mattress and set it up in the office. Kitchen is well appointed. The friendly fox came around every night looking for tablescraps. He is not shy... I'd definitely book again!

Highly recommended
Had overall great experiences all around. Just were in town with a small group of guys snowmobiling and the lodge worked perfect for our needs, just at the edge of town and right off of the main trail so access was a breeze.

Great location into Yellowstone Park!
We stayed at this property from Oct 4-9, 2020. It was located a few miles from the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone Park. We enjoyed the cabin! It was clean and had a great wood burning stove that we used every night! Temperatures ranged from 27 deg F at night to 83 deg F during the day time. Most of the businesses in Cooke City were closed due to the time of year. Make sure you bring enough food with you if you come at this time! During dusk and dawn, we spotted deer right outside of the cabin. They were not scared and remained on the property while eating food.
We saw numerous animals in the park - bison, moose, coyotes, wolves, pronghorn, black bear (no grizzlies this visit but heard they were spotted by others), mountain goats, rams, elk, and deer. Make sure you bring some binoculars! Lamar Valley is a great place to watch animal life. It's only a 15-20 minute drive from the Northeast entrance and our cabin.
The route from Tower-Roosevelt to Canyon was closed which made the drive time from the Northeast entrance to other parts of the park longer. However, the park is such a beautiful place, the drive wasn't an issue. Make sure you call the park ahead of time to check for road closures within the park.
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin and would come back again the next time we visited Yellowstone!
