Beautiful spot, would be an awesome place to stay during the summer (we stayed in December for a wedding). Only issue was that there weren't linens on the beds when we arrived but the property responded quickly and helped us figure out how to get into the linen closet.

The house and property are so lovely! Everything about the property is fantastic, with the exception of the loud and busy road. We wish we had known about it before booking our stay. The boathouse/dock is gorgeous and so much fun to hang out and fish on. The fire pit is huge and so nice. We also loved the unique indoor hot tub. The king bed in the primary bedroom is super comfy!

Pros: Lakefront area is pretty incredible. Lots of space, I mean lots. Dock is fantastic and anything you could want for a nice day in the water is around(fishing poles, paddle boards, life jackets, etc.) Hot tub nook is great inside the house. Cons: For the high cost of the house I was honestly expecting a better interior. Outside of the kitchen, a lot of the house felt dated. Lighting especially was pretty bad in some rooms, especially the living room. There were a few dead crickets on the floor when I got there. Dishwasher was also full of dishes. Neither of these things are a huge deal, but I paid a lot of money for the house and you expect these things to be dealt with.

My family loved our entire stay. The house was very clean, kitchen had everything you would need. The view, the lake is amazing. The boat house and dock is where we spent most of our time. The boat house is full fun, tubes, life vest of every size, watching the stars from the upper deck. The kayaks and paddleboards were great. The owner was wonderful, very accommodating. We will surely be back.

We recently stayed for 5 nights. Communication with Steve was easy from day 1. The cove is perfect and the boathouse really is amazing, the floating dock was a huge hit. The distance to the water from the house is absolutely perfect. The kayaks and paddle boards were great to have and since the cove is so big it’s great to get around. The fire pit was great, though there was some broken glass in it assuming from a past guest. The house has plenty of lounging space and is very pet friendly. The beds were fine too. Some feedback for the owner would be that that there were no hand towels or face towels for some reason. The house could really use more towels in general and or perhaps to recommend people bring their own. We were unable to use the grill since it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Recommendation to the property manager The house/windows and porches need a good scrubbing/ deep cleaning from cobwebs and dust inside. The boat was a slight disappointment as it’s got a lot of wear and tear inside and we had difficulty with it a few times starting but Steve’s double dog tube was amazing for the kiddos. Great location on the private side!

We felt so at home staying at this property ! It had everything we needed, and more! Paddle boards, kayaks, huge dock, small secondary dock, boat ramp, floating dock, swim floats, life vests, boat, jet ski, shoe horse pit, and more for the outside! Inside the house was recently updated, very clean, and had everything we needed including puzzles, games, movies, etc. There is also an indoor hot tub! This house is on the warm side of the lake so the water was the perfect temperature every day. 29 mins from Moo Thru, restaurants, and the arcade. Right around the corner from the gas station and a food lion! The owner could not have been more accommodating and able to help us every step of the way! Magical place; my family will definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay July 2023. The house had everything you could need to have an amazing time on the lake. We had a great time using the Kayaks, paddle boards and the floating dock was a great place to lounge. Everyone had a great time and Steve was great to work with. We will definitely rent again.

Great stay at the lake for two of us and our pup as Steve’s place is in a quiet cove with plenty of shoreline and just one super friendly neighbor who we rarely saw. Having access to the boat and jet ski in addition to the usual water toys gave us everything we needed to take full advantage of being on the warm side of the lake. Place was clean, layout was good, hot tub was awesome and Steve was very responsive to the few minor issues that we encountered. Definitely look forward to staying at Steve’s place again next year.

We loved life outdoors: the dock, paddle boards, kayaks, and fire pit. We enjoyed the games, hot tub, and the house exceeded our needs.

We had a wonderful time at the lake house! It is right on the lake and the view was beautiful. It allows so many different activities just on the lake. We came during the winter and the property was decorated for the holidays which was a nice surprise and the house's temperature was great. There were a lot of games and activities provided for our entertainment as well. The hot tub was incredible and we really enjoyed it, using it both nights we stayed! We came with a group of 9 of us and the area was quite spacious. Steve was also great at communication and replying immediately. We had a slight issue, but Steve responded real quick and was able to help us out with no wait at all. Overall, Steve's communication was wonderful and the place was really well kept! Would highly recommend for anyone staying for a getaway at Lake Anna!

Great house and location thank you

The pictures of this property do not do it enough justice. We stayed Labor Day weekend and the following week and it was PERFECT for my family. Quiet, LOTS to do, clean, spacious, and super private. We will absolutely be back in the future as it is a perfect family vacation spot.

We had an amazing time at the lake house. The boat house was amazing! We have 3 teens and they were barely on their phones. Most of our time was spent swimming, fishing, kayaking and hanging out on the dock. The house was a little outdated and missing that "homey" feeling. The picture online are definately

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It met all of our basic needs except for handicap accessibility which was the main reason we booked this house. The new dock is beautiful and we enjoyed spending our time out there under the umbrella. Once we were able to get into the shed, we utilized the kayak and paddle board. We had two fishing boats with us and had no problem launching them from the on site ramp and docking them. The fire pit is a great addition. The listing could use some updating with new pictures and better descriptions. For the most part, the owner was responsive to our concerns and addressed things throughout the week.

The property was perfect for our 4-generation family gathering. It felt more like a home and less a rental. Well kept, clean, plenty of "extras" to enjoy like the hot tub, kayak and paddle board to rent, large fire pit, floating dock off the boat house dock and plenty of shade if needed. The wooded area had just been thinned so us grandmas and great-grandma who couldn't stand the heat too long could sit inside in the AC and still see the (grown) kids and their kids having fun in/around the lake. No need for black-out shades for the babies/toddlers - the two queen bedrooms upstairs have large enough walk-in closets for a pack-n-play and then some. Yes we did tease the parents about "locking" their kids in the closet, but seriously, the space worked out really well for sleeping toddlers. The king bedroom faces the lake and is huge. Beautiful view to wake up to, plus a deck. Two of us had to work a couple of days; no problem with internet connection, and the bedrooms are quiet. My SIL loves to grill and cook; no complaints on availability of utensils, sharp knives, pots/pans, colanders, etc. The owner checked in when we got there, provided instructions for the boat rentals and ensured we were good to go for the week. The lake water was very warm; like bath water. Not particularly refreshing for us old folks who wouldn't have been in it much anyway, but the toddlers loved it. The only reason for less than 5 stars on accuracy of on-line listing is the app doesn't appear to update changes in all areas, so it can be a little confusing. Nothing major, and the owner is quickly responsive to all questions (pre and post booking) with accurate answers. We very much enjoyed our stay and would be booking for next year but learned during our stay that we're expecting another grand/gr-grand-baby next year(!!)... The parents requested a year off, so we'll be headed someplace mid-way between the rest of us.

The property itself was absolutely beautiful. The newly built dock was amazing and had everything we needed to enjoy our time out there. The photos really don't do it justice. The house also had the perfect amount of bedrooms and bathrooms to make it very comfortable. One thing to note is that the hot tub is actually *inside* the house, not out on a deck. The interior of the house was very clean! However, we couldn't find any cleaning sprays to wipe down the counters with. Otherwise, the house was fully stocked with everything we needed. Also, the exterior needed a good sweep and power wash. The outdoor furniture and decks were dirty and not very well taken care of. One thing that we were not aware of was that bed linens are not included. I could not find this stated anywhere in the property listing, reviews, or check-in instructions that were sent prior to arrival. The check-in instructions sent via the booking site also differed than those that the host texted over. I want to make sure future guests know this so that they don't have to do what we did and buy 3 new sheet sets last-minute. The cleaning instructions were a little hefty for a rental. Although we arrived to a dishwasher full of clean dishes waiting to be unloaded, we were instructed to do all laundry prior to check-out. This isn't standard of most other rentals we've stayed at and we were a little surprised, as laundry can take hours and check out was 10am. We communicated with the host and he graciously allowed us to check in an hour or two early. We wanted to get our food and perishables in the fridge so that we could take the boat out during the day, and check in wasn't until 3pm. However, when we arrived, there were other guests on the dock still. It took them a good 30-45 minutes to pack up all of their stuff, so we were just waiting outside on the property until then. Although there is indeed a private boat ramp on property, it is next to impossible to get a larger boat to it due to the way the driveway and property is laid out. The driveway has circles and sharp turns, and there are large trees at every corner, as well as a shed, making it extremely difficult to maneuver a pontoon down to the ramp. We ended up taking our boat back to the marina and launching it from there. This was a bummer because we specifically booked this property expecting to launch our boat and keep it at the dock.

This property is a great place to stay for a family. The convenience of the boat, jetski, kayaks, and paddleboard on the property to rent was a big plus. Steve was very responsive to the few issues that we had. Lake Anna is gorgeous and I highly recommend a visit.

Loved the house and really had a great time. The boathouse is great and we all (kids and adults) loved using the kayaks and paddle board. The fire pit was also a big hit. The kitchen has everything you need. Overall a great experience.

Had a great stay will use again

We stayed at this lake house over New Years and it was everything we were looking for. The home was clean and festively decorated for the holidays. There was plenty of space to lounge around on a rainy day and the sectional sofa was so comfortable we kept falling asleep. The hot tub was immaculate and toasty, and the kitchen was more than fully stocked for us to cook several meals. The boathouse was a true highlight, with a bar, mini-fridge, TV, upstairs deck, and tons of lounge chairs. We didn't use it much because of the time of year but in the summer I could see spending most of our trip out there. Our host was super communicative throughout our stay. We had one minor maintenance issue when we checked in but he addressed it very quickly and we had no other issues. Overall I would not hesitate to book and stay here again!

All the experience was amazing and specially the sunset from the boathouse, we loved it there.
