Really enjoyed our stay at this property. The view is outstanding. House is very comfortable and private. Communication with the owner was great. We enjoyed fishing,taking in nature and the local restaurants. Highly recommend Anita’s Nature Coast if you are looking for a great place in the Crystal River area.

I booked this property for my mother's 50th birthday. Being a current cancer patient and wanting to give my mom a special birthday after the challenging year, I was extremely excited to find a property with a view that was close to town for her to partake in unique activities while I could be safely away from large crowds. Anita explained upon booking that their pond room would be unavailable due to previous hurricane damage. On the 3rd morning, my family and I were awoken to banging in the pond room. My father went to check where the noise was coming from, only to find a man in the lower portion of the house doing construction and his vehicle in the driveway. We immediately contacted Anita who initially explained it as a misunderstanding and we would not be disturbed any further. However, within the hour, doors were being delivered and my father offered to put them in her garage so we were no longer disturbed. However, Anita then arrived with two more people to assist with her construction. At this point, my mother decided to leave. We asked for the return of our money for the night’s stay. She agreed but stated that we needed to get a refund from VRBO. We contacted VRBO, who then contacted her: the first time she hung up; the second time she ignored their calls. In the end, my mother decided to leave due to my health, safety, and security. Although we got a refund, our memories were ruined by Anita's greed, lack of empathy, and her out-of-control behavior.

This was our third stay and will continue to come back, year after year, as long as they let us. Anita is such a pleasure to talk to and truly cares about her guests. Despite dealing with the unfortunate aftermath of a recent hurricane, they welcomed us back and their home is just as perfect as it always was. We love the serenity, privacy and most of all the view. The home is so cozy, well appointed and the kitchen and bathroom are completely stocked with the essentials. We just love staying here and highly recommend this rental!

Had a great time scalloping, fishing and visiting the springs. Great spot for enjoying everything the area has to offer.

We stayed at the house for my sons 12th birthday and couldn’t be happier with the place we chose! The sunsets are amazing and we caught fish and crabs off the dock all week. We are planning to return to Crystal river soon and I don’t need search for another place to stay.

This was my second time renting this lovely home to visit family in the area. The house is well equipped and clean, and the property sits on the Salt River with wonderful marsh views and a little dock with a bench. There are also upper and lower screened rooms and a deck. I observed many species of birds, anoles, skins, crabs, and even manatees while relaxing on dock. I did experience a problem that was not the fault of the owners- Pat and Anita were very attentive. Excellent communication. I look forward to returning next time I visit family here.

There was plenty of room for everyone. The property was perfectly suited for our needs

We had a fantastic stay for our first visit to Crystal River. The property was the perfect mix of location and seclusion. We enjoyed scalloping, grouper fishing and swimming with manatees while on our stay! On our way to our manatee tour we were lucky enough to see 2 right off of the dock. We did some dock fishing and caught quite a few grunts, a sting ray and a small shark! The kayaks were a huge hit with the family especially my son who enjoyed exploring the nearby canals. I would definitely recommend staying here and will book again the next time we are in the area!

We live locally, but wanted to enjoy staying on the water with our boat. And it was the perfect location. The house was clean and exactly how it looked in the pictures. Lots of screened in area to keep the bugs away and still enjoy outside. My only complaint is that after a week staying there, we were never able to figure out the microwave. I had no idea they could make a microwave so non user-friendly. Great stay and I would recommend the house… just bring your own microwave. :)

It was wonderful! Did lots of fishing and owners were great! Beautiful beautiful place all around.

Great place to unwind and relax. Hosts are very informative and helpful as well as very responsive.

Our first morning we were greeted by a spectacular show of 3 dolphins jumping and flipping right out in front of dock. Anita and Pat are lovely hosts and available for anything we needed. We very much enjoyed paddling around the area with the kayaks. Great vacation!

We visited the area to see my mom who recently suffered a stroke. We couldn’t have selected a better place to stay - this property is therapeutic, full of wildlife and beautiful views. Communication with Anita was exceptional and greatly appreciated. Very clean house, too, although we spent most of the time outside! What a pleasure it was to observe the comings and goings of all the birds of the marsh, along with all the birds living in the live oaks on and around the property. We had daily visits from a little blue heron hunting from the dock. We were surprised to see a manatee pass by the dock this time of year, and we also observed mangrove crabs on the dock pilings. This was everything we needed and then some. So glad we selected this wonderful rental, thank you Anita and Pat!!

We have stayed multiple times at this property and each time we are reminded of how much we love the house and the area.

A great place to relax. Close to town and to Shrimp Landing Seafood where we got take out a number of times (try the fish tacos). The wonderful screened in porch was where we spent most of our time. Anita was very gracious and helpful.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Pat and Anita are excellent hosts. They were very helpful with any questions we had, including where to do the best hikes. The view of the marsh from the screened in porch was spectacular and included glorious sunrises and plenty of birds. We would love to come back!

A great, quiet getaway. We came to the area to swim with the manatees in Crystal River. We all stayed on the top floor, except for my 18 year old son stayed on the lower level. While all the living area, (kitchen, tv room, 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom and a great screened-in porch) were on the second level, he enjoyed having his own bedroom and full bathroom on the lower level, even though he had to go outside to access it. The time went very quickly with so much to do in the area. We only got out on the kayaks once. It is a very quiet place and great area to go out on walks. Enjoyed the new family-owned donut and ice cream shop in town. The owners were very responsive to any requests we had and very respectful of our time and privacy. A great place to getaway and relax with the family and creation.

Terrific place on the marshlands! We had great birding, kayaking and fishing. This was our second visit here and we thoroughly enjoyed our two week plus stay. Fabulous sunsets and sunrises and a very comfortable home. Crystal River is a fun town to visit and walk around. Three Sisters Spring was loaded with manatees. Really great!

We really enjoy staying here. The dock is perfect for relaxing and heading out on kayaks. Quiet and unobstructed views. Casual and comfortable property. We do a complete turkey dinner for Thanksgiving and Anita has the kitchen well stocked. Will be back. Fab location. My son caught 4 big catfish off dock.

Very out of the way and peaceful place to relax

The view is unrivaled, with amazing sunrises and lots of wildlife. The house has everything you need and more, and the hosts were friendly and responsive. I highly recommend staying here, and I’m sure I’ll be back. My whole family had a great time.

Stayed with my husband and (3) kids all under 13. Everyone had a blast kayaking, hiking, enjoying the springs! AND when it poured rain, the preteens thoroughly enjoyed the WiFi and several options for television!! An amazingly beautiful property that is very well maintained! Thank you for the first-aid kit! One of the twins ended up taking an unexpected “dip” in the river trying to catch a lizard and cut his foot and it came in handy!! lol Thanks for being a great home away from home for us and our Bassett hound too!!

We had an amazing experience at this property. The pictures do not even do it justice! It’s was quick to respond when I reached out and we would go back in a heartbeat!

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this hideaway oasis. We enjoyed the kayaks and the view from the top deck is amazing. A must see and stay at this wonderful house. Anita and Pat the owners were very nice and replied quickly to any questions we had.

Excellent stay! Very cozy, comfortable stay. Beautiful and quiet surroundings. Used kayaks and sons did a lot fishing from the pier. Fortunate and saw some dolphins right off the pier one morning and a small alligator two mornings! Great place that had everything we needed and then some. Did a half day of sport fishing about a mile down the road at Shrimp Landing with Hang ‘em High which was a blast. They also had a food truck there that cooked and served us fish tacos from out catch. Excellent trip!

The home was perfect for us! My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom and enjoyed the privacy! The screened in porches are great! The view is amazing. Loved the porpoises, birds and so much more. We brought our 19-foot Carolina Skiff and never had a problem getting in and out to The Gulf for scallops or the numerous fishing spots! And...it was much quicker to zip out to our spots from this location! Thank you for sharing your home!

The house is exactly like the listing. Very clean with a wonderfully stocked kitchen. Location could not be better because it’s close to several springs and rivers as well as restaurants and grocery stores. Having kayaks available to use is an extra bonus. We were able to kayak Rainbow river, Chassahowitzka river and Weeki Wachee river. One piece of advice for kayaking the Weeki Wachee is to launch from Rogers Park and not from Weeki Wachee park. The water is crystal clear with lots of sand bars to enjoy. We were even lucky enough to have a momma manatee and her baby swim by. Book your stay here!

Great place to relax. Dock was a bonus to cast a line and try our luck. Proximity to everything in town was perfect.

Wonderful and relaxing. Kayaking and fishing right off the dock. Cycled in the area as well. Beautiful sunrises at location and beautiful sunset on the gulf just minutes away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. The house was clean and cool. Little touches made it special—soap & shampoo in the shower, bottle of wine(although we didn’t open it since we don’t drink), games & books. My son & daughter kayaked down the river and caught small fish from the dock. They even caught a crab in the crab trap. My husband & I just relaxed. The hammock over the little pond was great! A few minor things that might be important for future visitors: there is a step up to get into the downstairs shower; it would be awkward for an adult to get into the top bunk on the main floor because of the overhead fan; there is not much room over the mattress in the loft. All in all, we had a great time thanks to thoughtful owners.

This place is awesome, peaceful, great view and great house. The kayaks were great, saw some dolphins real close. We loved our stay and will be back!

We had a wonderful time at Anita’s hideaway! My family of four, including an 8 year old child and my 75 year old mother in law (along with our dog Izzy) enjoyed our stay, parked our boat at the dock, and had the perfect amount of space to spread out and sleep well in this very clean property. We saw manatees, a dolphin, caught countless fish, and enjoyed spotting the birds all from the dock. Highly recmmomed!
