Classic cottage overlooking Ocean. 3min walk to beach 9/24-10/3 just opened up

This older family cottage was just right for our family. We loved the homey feeling with all the personal pictures.
The only comment about layout…all the bedrooms are on second floor with bathroom on first. Not a problem for us but could be for others. Thank you for sharing

My girlfriends and i just loved our short stay at this cabin! Cute, cute, cute and the friendly neighbor came by to check on us and help when we needed it. Short walk down to beach for rock hunting or just relaxing waterside. Jerry was so great to work with and really cares about his guests. He recommended the Monehagan island day tour ferry and it was just amazing!
We hope to come back again another day!

We had a great long weekend in this cute home. This home has obviously seen some love and growth through the years. Waking up to the birds singing was a nice way to start the day. Definitely recommend a stay here!

Any questions were answered quickly. The location is excellent. 10 minutes to Camden. Lincolnville beach was great. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. The beach was wonderful and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy a fun week with the family.

Beds were not very comfortable. We didn’t realize that the entire upstairs, where all of the bedrooms are, is not heated. It was freezing at night.

What a wonderful cottage just up the hill from the bay. We had a great long weekend with friends in the fall. Close enough for a day trip to Bar Harbor.
Property was clean and well appointed. Check in and communication with host was very smooth.
Would love to come again!

A wonderful, charming cottage with gorgeous water views. Just as quaint as the photos show and the host, Larry, was very friendly and communicative. The campfire was a very fun touch. The bedrooms are as pictured, but if you’re taller than 6’ take note of the ceiling heights in pictures! It was a perfect “home base” for day trips to Acadia, Bar Harbor and Camden. Overall a very cozy stay that we’d highly recommend.

Our group of 5 friends had a lovely weekend here when we came up for Common Ground Fair. We drove up from Massachusetts so bringing bedding and towels wasn’t a big deal but would likely been a challenge if we’d flown. The only thing that was missing were hooks or racks for bath towels to dry out.
The house is in a beautiful spot with a fantastic view in a quiet neighborhood. We were sad that it was too windy and cold to take advantage of the fire pit, but it’s a great alternative hang out out area. It’s clear this place is well-loved and looked after by it family.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

I didnt stay at this place myself. The artists I rented this bnb for absolutely loved the place! They said they loved how quirky and how "homey" it was. Very Maine, they thought everything was wonderful! I was surprised to receive an email saying that my guests left the place trashed (they are very respectful, this came as a shock). When I asked what had happened, I was told the toilet seat broke and they used the towels and sheets (they stripped the beds) but none of us knew they couldn't use the sheets or towels !
I would love to give straight 5 stars - but we feel the listing should state that the guests are expected to bring and use their own towels and bedding (would have considered a different bnb for this reason alone). Otherwise, extremely cute place that is full of love ! 4/5 stars

Cozy stay
Host was very informative and communicated well! The property was as described and felt very cozy. The location is across the street and on a hillside from the bay, but there are beautiful views from the porch. The weather was very mild during our stay (last week of June), but the upstairs did warm up considerably during the day. Only recommendation would be install a window unit AC upstairs. This cottage met our expectations and we enjoyed the visit to Maine.

Had a fabulous time sitting on the deck, down at the boat house, kayaking and sitting around the fire. Would have loved to stay longer!

Adorable cottage
Great views. House is very rustic but looks like something out of a magazine. Great outdoor areas and enclosed porch dedicated to lobster boils complete with huge roll of butcher paper for the table. Kids loved exploring the beach. Found sea glass, a star fish etc. We saw a porcupine down shore road which was a first for all of us. Extremely close to a grocery store which was awesome. Things to know: well water is not currently drinkable. We got in late after a long ride from Boston airport and that would have been good to know. Water also smelled bad at first but once flowing was fine. Stairs are steep and only bathroom is downstairs and only beds upstairs… if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night… little challenging and the whole house creeks when moving around upstairs. Luckily kids slept hard. We are old house people so didn’t bother us. Overall great stay. Enjoyed no WiFi or cable tv to disconnect and relax.

Perfect cozy cottage for family with sea view
The cottage was perfect for our family of three, including our 6 year old. Charming, comfortable, and lots of different comfy spaces with beautiful views of Penobscot Bay, inside and out. Our daughter enjoyed all the toys, games, craft supplies, and movies in the kids room and we loved seeing the sunrise from our bed! Great outdoor set up for nightly fires, BBQ, and Lobsters, as well as indoor porch overlooking the bay for breakfast and rainy night dinners. So nice to be able to walk to the beach and use the kayaks already there! Great nearby food in Belfast like brunch at The Hoot, Friday night pizza from Chase’s Daily, ice cream at Wild Cow Creamery, and the Belfast Co-op. Owners couldn’t have been more gracious and communicative. Sad to go home, but hoping to return!

Responsive Host and Beautiful Water Views
Larry was a wonderfully responsive host. We had a few questions while we stayed at the cottage and he responded helpfully right away. The place is even cozier than it looks in the photos and we loved the short walk to the beach. Our preschooler especially enjoyed the kids room which has about every toy, game, and puzzle you can imagine to keep kids busy while you read books on the porch swing.

A great location for day trips in Maine
We thoroughly enjoyed beautiful Maine. However, this is probably a better cottage for a couple or small family. The listing says there are 3 bedrooms. This is not accurate. There are 3 sleeping spaces. It was not ideal for 2 couples - no privacy and tough juggling access to one bathroom. It was also very cold at night in the sleeping spaces.
Most rentals are tricked out for the renters, meaning hand soap, more than one hand towel, dish soap, more than one bath towel per person, etc. This cottage felt a lot like camping.

What an adorable property! Located in a small community of gingerbread style cottages it’s like stepping back in time. The house was immaculate with everything one could need for a week long stay. Large bathroom with washer/dryer was a bonus. Kayaks, SUPs with gear were available though we didn’t get to use them due to a back injury We loved the huge firepit and used it almost nightly! Location in midcoast Maine is perfect if you want to visit Belfast, Camden, Rockport, Rockland. All have great shops and restaurants and are within a half hour ride or less! We brought our motorcycle and had some beautiful rides. A couple things to note:Two of the three bedrooms are open to each other, so if privacy is a concern (say 3 couples) keep that in mind. The beach is at the bottom of a steep hill. Although this was mentioned in the house details, it proved too much for us after 2 treks back up! There is some parking 1/2 way down though so we ended up using that. All in all we had a spectacular week and can’t say enough good things about the owner! Communication was friendly, easy and instantaneous. We were celebrating our anniversary and he graciously provided us with some of his homemade wine....And it was delicious!! We will be back!

Wonderful Maine experience
Our family had never been to Maine and booked the cottage to attend a family wedding. The owner is very responsive and helpful. The cottage is lovely and we made many special memories. We would rent again!

Loveliest get away
This cabin is a special place. We appreciated the lack of wifi and really unplugged while we were in Northport. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the beds were small but comfortable. The views of the water and strolls on the beach are unbeatable and the whole community of cabins was very charming. We loved all the games and warm lived-in touches throughout the cabin and our three year old was very entertained by all the children's toys. Would love to visit another time!

We absolutely love being in ME close to all the spots we cruised to in our boat.
The place is more like a camp than a classic Maine Cottage. We managed well but had older guests who could not stay with us because the stairs are dangerous for “mature” folk and access to water front is somewhat distant and very steep.
Info provided on the area was excellent and most helpful. We appreciated the wine, the porch swing and the fire pit and wood.
Perfect for a family with a couple of kids.

Lovely peaceful week
We had a great week at the cottage. It was comfortable & well supplied - perfect for our family of 4. Our kids (aged 9 & 5) loved all the games & the many kids books kindly left in the house . We made fires every night when the Weather allowed and watched some DVD’s from their good selection. Loved paddle boarding & kayaking on the little beach just a few steps down from the house. It was perfect setting- close to everything but on a quiet friendly street that the kids could safely ride their bikes up and down. Larry was very responsive & welcoming. We would definitely return.

Slice of Paradise
Wonderful area tucked away near the woods and so close to the water. Cottage offers a feeling of family and home and is very comfortable with all the amenities you may need. Owner is very nice. Highly recommend a stay at this place and location which is near so much.

Above and Beyond
We can comment on how this cottage came equipped with everything that anyone could ever need. We can comment on how nicely kept it is, the beauty of the surrounding area and the beautiful ocean view. But if that's all we did, we would be leaving out the most important feature. That feature is the hospitality of the owners. We were not just "renters". We were not their "customers". We were made to feel like relatives who were in town for a visit and told to make ourselves at home. We cannot recall a time when we have been treated more graciously and are extremely thankful to have had our path cross theirs.

Perfect for our family
This cottage, and in fact this little enclave on the edge of a hill, was just perfect for us (family of four, two kids that are 7 and almost 5). The cottage is charming and met all of our needs--I thought it was going to be small but it was a great space, both outside and in. It was the vacation we wanted: we slept in late, ate too much, and enjoyed a fun activity each day. The beach is a quick walk and we found lots of interesting rocks and sea glass. Belfast, Lincolnville and Camden are all close and have lots to do. Mount Battie is a must. It was a wonderful week. We all left wishing for "Just one more day!"

It doesn't get any better than this!
This is our family's second visit to Maine and Just One More Day cottage. Our kids just can't get enough of the cottage and the proximity to the beach. From enjoying the sunrise each morning peeking over the horizon, a quiet cup of coffee on the porch swing, to Lobster dinners on the picnic table and campfires in the fire pit, this is our favorite place to vacation. From the porch swing you can enjoy watching lobster boats casually coast through Penobscot Bay. The cottage has literally everything you could need, and lots of extras for playing down at the beach. The absolute best, though, are the property owners and how they make you feel not only welcome, but part of their family. You will not find a more inviting host.

Beautiful retreat
We were rained out of our camping trip, and were able to reach our host and book for the same day. It was a deep relief, and he was wonderfully accommodating. We came in quite late and missed the turn, and were able to text back and forth to get directions. The home was warm and charming with so much space to relax and hang out. In the morning, we got to check out the porch hammocks, swings, and gorgeous views. We also accidentally used a neighbor's kayak, who was very sweet and generous to let us use his (it was a double). Overall, as a queer woman of color I felt very comfortable in this community. And we loved the firepit outside that allowed us to still have a campfire. I would definitely stay here again.

More than what I expected
This was the final trip of 3 I took my daughter on for her graduation gift. I had been to upper Maine many years ago and didn't care for it, so I didn't have high hopes. The 3 destinations we traveled were areas my daughter always wanted to see. We landed in Portland and drove the 2 hours to the cottage, and the scenery was breathtaking. The cottage was so cute and homey, we immediately felt comfortable. Everything you needed and more was there. The owners were so hospitable and kind-hearted. It's a 15-20min drive to food or shopping, but it was nice not to be right in all the attractions. Plan an entire day at Bar Harbor, it is stunning! Get there early enough to take a ferry to whale watch, and go to Acadia park for hiking. Your camera will never really capture the entire beauty of the landscape. We didn't have enough time to enjoy the kayaks or have a fire, which made us sad, but we found plenty of treasures on the beach to take home. Only disappointment is that we didn't stay longer. My daughter is already plotting her wedding, (way in the future), in the area after falling in love with all the wild Lupine. Perfect way to end our vacation.

Beautiful little cottage with very clean, caring and helpful owners.
This cottage is a quintessential New England property. Beautifully maintained by people that clearly love their little cottage. We felt so welcome in this clean and charming place. Sitting on the front porch swing sipping coffe was sublime. There was no wifi and not great reception on the tv so a perfect place to relax and reconnect with loved ones. I attended a conference in Belfast (5-10 min drive) and my husband went fishing at a few beautiful "ponds" recommended by our very friendly neighbor.
We would love to return with our children and there is plenty of room for both of them.

Idyllic home perfect for a true Maine experience.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in late September. The house is stocked with everything you need. If your plans are to see Bar Harbor, Belfast, Rockport, and Camden, this house is in the perfect location. At the end of our busy days of seeing the sights, we loved coming back to the peaceful firepit and outdoor grill. This home is located in a neighborhood with beautiful views of the bay. We never saw a neighbor, and loved the boat house and availability of the kayaks. What a treat. We would highly recommend this vacation rental!

Just One More Day, PLEASE!
We loved the cottage! Every room has views of the Penobscott Bay. The porch swing is the perfect place to sip coffee while watching the sunrise. Upstairs sleeping areas are comfortable, but two areas are open to one another. The third one has a door. The beach is great for kayaking. We loved visiting and eating in Belfast.
