Great location, next to authentic agricultural sites, right at the foot of Picos (best access to southern part for hiking) and next to so many destinations. Hosts were amazing, very helpful even in very non typical situations. Available lost of information on best ways how to explore the area.

No electric kettle for tea.

Apartment was super clean, view from window was breathtaking, good contact with owner. Very funny but comfortable pillows.

A little bit slow WiFi but for sure it's due to location. Lack of toilet brush.

We stayed there right before Cantabria closed its boarders due to the second Covid wave. Sergio was very present. He gave us tipps for hikes and checked in from time to time to know how we are and helped to understand the daily news since they affected us and our travel plans. Thank you so much Sergio, you are a great host and we really liked the time at your appartement. :) The appartement was nice eventhough rather dark since there is not much sun to enter the appartement. It is in a rather rural area so do not expect fancy stuff. It has what is needed and we did not miss anything. The bathtub is pretty small so it rather is a shower. But good enough for a child if needed. The view is very nice from the porch. There even is a big garden which you could use. It is a very calm region.

I strongly recommend Apartamentos Rio Cubo to anyone planning to explore the south eastern section of Picos de Europa. The location is excellent, just 10 minutes by car from Fuente De where the cable car is located and most of the hikes to the high elevations can be started. Sergio was very kind and accommodating, he upgraded us to the largest apartment free of charge as it was available. He also gave excellent recommendations for a variety of hikes to do in the area; we did all of them and enjoyed it very much. And during the evenings, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves in the garden of the apartments, with very nice veiws of the mountains.
