The breakfast was excellent; I especially enjoyed the porridge. The staff were very considerate of the fact that I have mobility problems, I have a severely arthritic knee, for which I was very grateful.

A minor point but I felt a small descriptive pamphlet about the hotel would have been useful.

Car parking - if you own a vehicle which is expensive or your pride & joy don't stay here, the car parking facilities are horrendous. The room service provided food which was barely warm. The hotel is covered in scaffolding & netting, so, if you stay during the week you're going to have workmen peering through your windows. The whole experience was terrible, certainly no recommendations - keep well away it's awful !!!

Great central location, parking provided. Rooms cleaned daily and tea/coffee biscuits topped up each day. The staff were very professional and welcoming.

The food/restaurant in house were excellent. The breakfast in particular was very good . The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the location was perfect for Barnstable. The room was very comfortable, but a little small, but given the cost I cannot complain

The downstairs is all nice but my room was very dated with lots of wear and tear, no socket by the bed and when searching for a socket all behind the bed is full of dust so looks like never gets a complete clean, which isn't particularly nice sleeping next to, bed was a bit hard, didn't have breakfast cos at £15 plus £5 extra to the room think that is to much. For the price of the room I think it could have been nicer but the main thing that I didn't enjoy was the level of noise could hear people running above my room a lot late at night, and in the morning no chance of a sleep in as the cleaners hanging around bashing around outside the room hoovering chatting very noisy.

Had a noisy kitchen vent right outside our window, but it did shutdown about 10pm. Was able to use the hotel carpark, but was very tight. Wouldn’t like to be late in with a larger vehicle.

A fantastic hotel that had real charm to go with its up to date furnishings. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would love to use this hotel again.

Getting our bags from the carpark to our room was an effort, but a minor inconvenience, and a trade off against the hotel's location, which was excellent.
