The location of the property was perfect. The condo is clean and comforting for a family vacation.

The 3 bedroom penthouse was very spacious for our family of 6. The place was clean. The pool area is nice. The staff was friendly. Easy access to 5th Avenue and taxis for excursions. Concierge was very helpful and friendly.

The penthouse looks a bit aged and could use some updating and a new paint job - lots of scuffs and markings on the walls. It only had a countertop seating area with 4 bar stools which didn’t work for eating in with a family of 6. Based on pictures, I expected the deck to be really nice and a place to lounge at during the day, but it was really small, looked dirty and there were no loungers to sit in.

The condo was very clean however it seriously needs updating. The paintwork and furniture are old and tired and the cooker/oven needs replacing as did not work.

The complex was in a great location and we loved the jungle themed planting that gave privacy and created such a wonder atmosphere in what is a very busy location. It was a refuge from the liveliness of Playa del Carmen. We had a 2 bed penthouse condominium which included a large roof terrace with sunbeds, hot tub, bbq and areas of shade to sit. We used this terrace extensively through out stay.

It would have been better had we had direct access to our roof terrace rather than up a shared staircase. A higher gate between terraces would also have given complete privacy between us and our neighbouring condominium. Sadly the huge influx of sargassum seaweed which has arrived early this year meant the beaches were not pleasant to visit. This is clearly a big issue for all the resort beaches. We were pleased to have the use of our complex pool as the sea was unpleasant at best. We were affected by the sulphur smell of the seaweed on several occasions.

If you’re debating whether to stay at an all inclusive resort or this property, absolutely choose Porto Playa. My wife and I were so happy we did. You’re in the middle of it all. Mamita’s beach is a short 10 minute walk. All the restaurants and bars are right outside your doorstep.

The location was great, the value for money and the attention. rooms are very big and the bed really good!

Lovely pool in a quiet secluded resort just off the main Avenida. great brunch and lunch spots opposite. they decorated our room for our engagement which was very sweet. filtered water in the room was a nice touch.

the bedroom was quite dark and we were right on the corner where they were doing building or renovations next door. we went out the room early so it didn’t bother us too much but there was some noise and builders playing music early.

We had the 2 penthouse condos and they were lovely. I was a little concerned about being b so close to 5th Ave but if the doors were closed, there was almost no noise. Pool was very nice, everything worked well and staff was responsive. Well definitely book again.

We came in at 10pm and no one was at the front desk for about 15 minutes. We did let the hotel know what time we would be arriving. It was a little off-putting waiting in the street with luggage while tried and hungry

Service was superb and staff was super friendly.

the restaurant was 1 block away but the breakfast was spectacular and superb and amazing views, worth the walk every single day
