Very large duplex appartment, with excelent views from the 6th floor and nice entrance to the property. There was a lot of space to move about.

Mosquitoes at night plagued the upstairs rooms, it would be essential to install mosquitoe nets on the windows. Also quite noisy at night due to the proximity to industrial estate and traffic.

The space , location and the views

No staff, the impersonal nature of the stay and the car park. Wrecked cars either side of us. No ordinary knives, no mugs provided and very hard pillows. The location was difficult to access. Reception was supposed to be open until 8pm. We arrived at 6pm and there was no one there. Poor shower.

Very beautiful castle with modern and comfort interior.

There was not always enough hot water in the tank for the entire family. It is a mild disadvantage - the water heats up relatively fast, so one just needs to prepare and not plan to have a shower all one after the other.

We were in the tower on the top floor. It was very quiet.

The setting and building are outstanding and historic while the accommodations are modern and clean. The two bedroom apartment has large and well-decorated spaces with the kitchen and den being on a lower level and bedrooms upstairs. There is a sink and shower room upstairs, but the only toilet is next to the kitchen on the lower level...along with a tub.

The space is really nice and well-equipped in most ways, but we felt that the rooms were not prepared well for the four of us. There were only three wines glasses and three placemats provided. We couldn't find a plug for the tub drain and the tissue box was damaged and half used. We were here a year ago and there was a better presentation.

This is clearly stated, but a walk up the old stairs to the 4th floor is always something interesting. A lot of dust in the common corridor but it is after all ... "castle"

Beautiful, spacious and well equiped appartment. Free parking. Quiet location with nature and mountain view. Everything was super clean. We really enjoyed staying in Chateau de la Rochette, it was very homy. Fontaine is a small town near Grenoble. It is good to have a car for this location but easy access to the tram to Grenoble, nearby supermarkets for food shopping. Price is excellent for this type of property.

The castle is next to a hostel sharing the same parking. There is no sitting area outside. The castle courtyard could be more welcoming with flower pots or benches to sit outside as there are no balcony.

The place is comfortable for one night stay - we stayed in one bedroom Apartment. It has a shampoo, a small soap bar, shower cap and cotton buds. Towels and linens are clean. Apartment is equipped with kitchenette with complete basic utensils. Parking space is huge. The backdrop mountain and refurbished castle Apartment gives wonderful landscape, looking from McDo across the street.

We arrived midnight, and struggled to find the (1) entrance green gate, signage was small and not lit, (2) the reception entrance was facing the mountain and not facing the street, we had difficulty finding the signage to the entrance since the signage is not lit, (3) the machine self check-in is located to the left of the castle main door, you need to go up the stairs and open the door on left, again it is not well lit. The lights have motion sensor and only when you open the door will the lights turn on. It was raining hard when we arrived so it made it more difficult to find the reception entrance with poor lighting. Please add spotlight on signages for night guests who are on transit and long drive stop over.
