Prachtige plek in het binnenland. Heerlijke zwembaden en zeer vriendelijke eigenaar. Leuk paardrijtour in de omgeving gedaan. Jorge en Jenny waren supervriendelijk. Gidsen paardrijden spreken alleen Spaans.

Loved the authenticity of the ranch, the owners and employees! Everyone was very helpful and flexible! We enjoyed the location which was a bit remote and also a great base to explore multiple volcanoes and natural wonders in the areas. We had horseback riding and zip line activities in site and were able to enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub… with the water slide, which the kids loved! The food prepared by Gabriella was very tasty, best Costa Rican cuisine we had on the trip and we enjoyed the newly added bbq and fire pit installed by Jorge and Rolland. Kids loved the well behaved and cute dogs! Simply a great stay for those that are looking for a real Costa Rican experience!

We stayed in the large four bedroom apartment and it is huge. The windows have screens so the wind blows through the apartment and cools it off at night. Kids loved the pool with the waterslide and the jacuzzi. We had dinner one evening and it was very tasty. Jorge is a great host, very helpful and friendly. We did the horse riding tour which was great, beautiful scenery and the staff was very flexible and friendly with my daughter who was a bit nervous. The road to get there is not great but a lot better than we expected based on other reviews.
Nothing. The accommodation is basic, but that is clear from the description and photo’s.

As a family of four, two kids of 13 and 10, we enjoyed our 3 night stay at the ranch a lot. We had a comfortable room, with a spacious veranda and a nice view of the surrounding nature.
The kids really had a lot of fun in the swimming pools, with tobogan slide and jacuzzi. Even though it was a bit drizzling, they had a very good time!
With the guidance of the friendly owner Jorge, we also managed to spot some nice birds like Tucans, Caracara, Woodpeckers, etc. The ranch also has a nice trail for hiking.
Roads in the area need a bit more maintenance (potholes)

Hot tub & pool were nice. Good price for a large group.
Cannot have lights on after dark or you will be overrun by flying insects!
4.5
Great location, helpful and interactive stuff, 3 swimming pools and delicious meals cooked for guests. We had great adventure in the zip line and admired wonderful view of the lush green mountains.

We had a great stay at Vida Aventura. We enjoyed the beautiful stars in the sky at night, and had lots of fun at the pool and the pool slide with our 5-year old daughter.
Rolando was helpful and arranged dinner and breakfast for us so we could really relax after hiking at Rincon de la Vieja, which we practically had to ourselves due to low season in May. Highly recommended!
3.5
Loved the quiet location. Great sized room with good kitchen area to cook our own simple meals.
Pool area was not functional. Larger pool was not clean and the slide was not operating.
Pool in other area was too shallow to swim. Jacuzzi was nice with stunning views. Decking around pool area was incomplete and would consider dangerous for young children.

Great place to stay! Wonderful views, lovely pool, amazing staff!
Thank you!

The room was as advertised, big, spacious & all the kitchen utensils you would need.
The activities were amazing, we did horse back riding and zip lining.
The staff were amazing.
We also booked a dinner - it was very yummy!
There wasn't much shade at the pools.

We loved the beautiful rainbow just in front of our room in the morning! Unbelievable! The owners were sweet, room comfy, everything ok.

Jorge was a great host, very helpful giving us accurate directions to the park and towns. The food was home cooked and delicious, thanks Jorge for the coconuts.

Amazing pool and hot tub area, great waterslide, lovely trail on property, great horseback riding, loved the area, great views outside our door, we were very content there
No common area (lounge), so room for 2 couples quite snug, said common area was couch and table IN the room.

Such a wonderful place. First of all, the territory of the farm is so beautiful. We sat on the porch watching lots of different birds. The studio was much nicer than on the picture and well equiped. There's no airconditioning, but you really don't need it because you're higher up and there's a fan. The host was super friendly and accommodating, made us feel really welcome. There's ziplining and horse riding. I wish we would have stayed here doing something, because the santa maria sector of the park was closed when we got there.
The best thing was the hot tub under the stars.
Not really a dislike, but bring some food and drinks.

Great central location to all the attractions as National Park and Springs.
Delicious dinner offered by the host (home made) which was the testiest that we ate in Costa Rica for good price.
Quiet and isolated surroundings.
Welcoming host who advised on on best attractions , logistics decisions and everything!
Everything was perfect!

We have a very pleasant stay at Vida Adventura. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful to us. We we provided with excellent diner and breakfast options for a very reasonable additional charge. The surroundings are very peaceful and quiet whereas, for Costa Rican standards, it isn't too far off from the nearest big town ( 40 mins away from Liberia ). Horses are roaming around the estate and, although not a horse guy myself, they looked well fed and taken care off.
The only thing missing according to us was a electrical water boiler to make some tea. But this seems to be the case in many accomodations in Costa Rica.

Horseback ride was spectacular, we even saw monkeys at the river!
Cement water slide will be very fun for kids, I tried it twice and it is actually a bit scary it goes so fast.
The super cool hosts Rolando and Jorge are fluent in English and very warm and hospitable. They have big plans for the place.
The road in is very rough, typical of small roads in CR. If you are driving, go slow! It is a twenty minute drive to town so don't forget your drinks and groceries! On the plus side, big city Liberia, and airport, are not far, only 24km.

nothing
it was falsely advertised. facilities weren’t open and pool had not been cleaned for some time. no source of safe, potable water for guests.
host refused to issue refund after we were forced to leave for safety reasons

Absolutely calm and remote, good view from the private terrace. Nice pool. Super friendly and helpful host. Large rooms.
The beds were not very comfortable.

the location is so beautiful and peaceful
the walls between the apartments are thin, so if you have an amorous young couple staying next to you…..! Luckily we brought ear plugs.

Great place and amazing host/staff. Thank you Jorge for these great 4 days. Lots of activities (we’ve done horseback riding twice, very nice pool with a slide, zipline, etc.). Rooms are spacious. The biggest benefit is the location: out in the nature, huge property with many trails for horses and walks, a bit windy, but compared to the rest of the Rincon area, it’s still ok. And the views on both Rincon and Miravalles volcanos are just outstanding. Worth visiting, we recommend.
Family of 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 2 years).
Just the wind. It can sometimes wake you up at night, but it’s nature, right?

The owner gave us great directions to reach the ranch. The grounds are lovely and serene. The apartment was clean and well equipped and the wifi signal was strong. We did the zipline and the horseback riding activities and they were good value for money. Our guide Jason and his younger brother were friendly and helpful. We even tried out the pool slide. Overall, a great stay for those looking for a quiet break.
The area is very windy (but obviously not the fault of the ranch, lol).
1.5
Positives...Jason greeted us, made us feel welcome and showed us to our room. The room was nice and spacious. Screens on all windows and patio entrance door and no bugs. Kitchen area was good to have, seeing how your in the middle of nowhere with being 12 miles from town. So make sure you buy groceries. Patio entrance was really nice which looks at the beautiful green mountain hills. Good wifi connection, Mobility accessable apt. But shower has a bit of a step, so help is needed.. I'm sure glad we only booked one night.
Negatives...The rating of 3 is for the room only. The beds are uncomfortable...one bed you could feel all the coil springs. Everything that the booking says it has to offer is not so. The ranch that could be amazing now looks like a ghost town /abandoned in many areas. The swimming pool has water but it's not swim able, the two jacuzzis / natural water pools are empty, dirty and paint peeling. It's all cloudy & dirty, not sanitary.
** Definitely not worth the 80$ a night. There was nothing on the ranch to offer. No breakfast and no pool
Other activities I assume are not in operation either seeing how we didn't see anyone. Nobody (workers) was there and I'm pretty positive we were the only guests there. It gave a bit of an errie vibe.
* Very Disappointed considering there's so much potential. Especially driving 12 miles with about half of it on a crappy pot hole rode and the place looking nothing at all like the photo anymore.

In the middle of nowhere, perfect for nature and animal lovers. The pool area is fantastic.
Rooms are clean and spacious, hot water works great
Only thing that could be added would be to be able to order some food as the nearest restaurants are about 20 minutes drive and can be scary at night time.

The stuff was very nice and helpful.

The pool and slide were terrific, and the horseback ride was very nice (although not quite a scenic as the same in Monteverde). The wifi was excellent in the room and on the patio.
The room was very basic (but sufficient; we didn't go there to sit in the room). Would have been nice to have a hotplate and pan in the kitchen (to make pasta, etc.), and the shower curtain rod repeatedly fell down. There's no wifi at the pool, which is a short walk away from the house.

The setting was very peaceful and pretty.
It would have been nice to have a few more cooking dishes and utensils.
