The view is breathtaking, you can just sit all day at the balcony looking at the sea!!!

Stella the owner is a darling. So sweet and welcoming. The bedding was excellent, top quality mattress and bed sheets. The view stunning specially at sunrise.
Would have been perfect if there was a canteen or breakfast on site as it is pretty far from super markets and restaurants.

Beautiful location, very clean and beautiful designed houses. Amazing staff. The best place on the Island.
You will need to rent your own transport as it is in a beautifully secluded area on top of the Island which I couldn’t do.

I have traveled a lot throughout Greece and I can say that Vatisthea is one of the best accommodations not only in the islands, but in the country. The hotel is located high up, with an exceptional view of the island and the sea. Because it is located in the middle of the island, from Vathistea you can reach almost any corner of the island and any beach in no more than 20 minutes. Vathistea is built and decorated with a perfect taste, and the attention to detail of the owners is impressive. You will not find anything cheap or poor in Vathistea, everything around shows a remarkable respect for tourists who choose to cross its threshold. Everything is designed in such a way that the comfort and tranquility of the tourists are perfect. All these are the work of the owners, incredibly fine and friendly people. It was a wonderful travel experience and if we ever return to Kythnos (and we will, the island is wonderful) it would not even occur to me to stay anywhere other than Vathisthea.
