We had a friendly reception and were given a choice out of two rooms. We were the only guests but our host had lit the fireplace for us when we returned after dinner. The two of us were served a royal breakfast, which was enough for 10 people. After breakfast we had a walk in the lovely park.

The only drawback was the bed. It was a bit old and the pillows and duvet were synthetic, not feathers.

The house is just magical, the rooms beautiful and comfortable, the gardens and the pool, fantastic breakfast and able all: great service!

Nothing to mention

The location and facilities were excellent, and the staff were more than happy to help with any question or concern. This was one of our favourite stays in the past year, and we would highly recommend it. Our room was large, comfortable, and came with an excellent breakfast.

We were not able to use Wi-Fi or cellular data in our room, but we were able to use it in the lobby and breakfast rooms.

Our stay was a very enjoyable one. The host and all staff were extremely courteous and attentive and I was pleasantly surprised with Sérgio’s fruitful efforts in building a little, beautiful green-eco system from the once almost barren landscape. We highly recommend “Monte Alerta” for your stay in this area.

The pool placing distribution system can be improved. There were "reserved" spots not used for the whole day.

Lovely traditional house full of antiques and collectors’ items. Lots of comfortable sitting areas inside and lovely swimming pool and extensive outside areas to enjoy the garden and views. Big rooms and bathrooms. Excellent breakfast. Great location. We enjoyed the Praia Fluvial at Mourâo (pictured)

I have nothing negative to say!

Great location and great hosts. Wonderful breakfast. Loved the system of having one area per room both at breakfast and around the pool. It is an extremely quiet place which we loved. If you are looking to rest you can't go wrong here.

Lacking something to enable guests to cook or eat on site. Possibly this was a feature pre-pandemic though (I could see big roasts happening in that outside area). Having a fridge in the room would have been great - the middle of Alentejo is an extremely warm place so leaving the room with a fresh bottle of water in the morning feels wonderful. Rooms could be slightly more insulated for sound (this wasn't a bother though).

The pool, the tastful composition of the estate,the landscape around, the village nearby up on the rock with stunning views. It was coronatime and only a few guests, but there is enough space for more people to feel comfortable.

Nothing to dislike.

It's a relaxing place in a quiet area. The owner is very sympathic and we felt like home!

The property was really well located well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s very close to the beach, observatory and Monsaraz castle. Highly recommend it! Thank you for the hospitality!
