Located in a lively vibrant area. Good modestly priced restaurants, especially.
The stairs, the stairs. I am 77 and the 50 steps to the third floor was taxing. The front desk staffer was valued especially when I arrived and he carried my luggage up to the room. Consider asking about mobility or age when booking, and then assigning rooms accordingly.

Good location. New bathroom, good shower

Great location and the room was quite comfortable, although small. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.
It was a fourth story walkup, which was a mild inconvenience that I was not aware of before going.

We enjoyed it! Close to a metro, the bed was very comfortable and the place is clean.

Breakfast very affordable
The Breakfast the next day we went out for breakfast.

The location of the hotel was good, close to metro, bars, restaurants and shopping mall.
The room they gave me wasn't even a room, it was more of a small closet which was right next to the staircase going up and down. So every time any other guest of the hotel would go up or down you would get to hear their footsteps. The blankets in the room were dirty and smelly. I complained to the staff regarding the room that it is noisy and congested and they should change it but they were just not helpful. The owner of this hotel are greedy and made this small closet into a room and charging a 100 euros which is not worth it at all. And the staff is not helpful at all. I am surprised that Booking.com would even list a property like this on their website! This was like listing a trashcan for accommodation. Please delist this property.

The hotel is within walking distance of most attractions. The room was very clean. The staff is friendly and speaks English.
The hotel has a soundproofing issue but there is a lot to see in Paris and not stay long in the hotel.

Quaint and typically Parisienne.
Quiet.
Quaint and typically Parisienne. Stairwells were narrow and steep. There was no shower gel/ soap in the canisters.

Great location (within a few minutes of the very central "Châtelet-les-Halles", Beaubourg, and much more). The room was clean and the staff very welcoming and friendly.
There was an awful lot of street noise, and because of that, I unfortunately wasn't able to sleep much, even with earplugs. Of course I understand that this is a very lively district; but there weren't that many people outside that night (the temperature was just around freezing point). The windows seemed very thin. I don't know if that hotel has rooms both facing the street and facing an inner courtyard. If they have quieter room on a courtyard, I'd strongly suggest that they advertise that (even if it means paying a premium).
The room was small, but that wasn't an issue for me (I knew what to expect on that front).
If noise doesn't bother you and you're just looking for a convenient, super-central place to crash: great. Otherwise (if you're a lighter sleeper or if you plan to hang out a bit in your room), this might not be the best property to stay at!

Excellent location, just round the corner from a metro station and a little further to RER and metro lines at Les Halles. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants all around. Very old building which has been cleverly adapted. Original beams in places, lots of character with a fascinating twisty staircase. Very nice staff. Very good value breakfast - delicious fresh baguette and a croissant with fruit juice and coffee for €8. Room was warm and comfortable with all we needed. Really enjoyed our stay.
A bit noisy at night as it is in the middle of the restaurant area. Our room was very compact, cleverly designed so it worked but no space for larger luggage (we had small bags only). Bathroom was fresh and modern but the shower was very narrow and difficult to move about in. Stairs up are an irregular spiral so a bit challenging if you find stairs a challenge.

The location was very central and felt safe. Far too many options for food and drinks, sightseeing, shopping. Easy to walk to places too, but all means of transport all around. The room was warm (while absolutely freezing outside), and quiet (despite the location being very central and the building old). It helps that there is not street with traffic outside, rather pedestrianized streets. The people working at the hotel were very friendly and polite. The hotel and the room were very clean.
It was a bit pricey - but I guess it's part of the deal in Paris.. Perhaps a small basic breakfast included in the price would help.

A good location.
t’s VERY NOISY. You can hear an EVERY word and sound from the next room. It’s horrible, impossible to sleep! The price of a room is large - solve this problem!

Fantastic location and a great old style Parisian hotel - My single room was small but incredibly charming - it was incredibly quiet and very comfortable.

I really enjoy my 3-day stay at Hotel du Cygne Paris. I picked a small room for 1 person, but it’s very quite, cozy and clean. Staffs are very helpful. The location is so close to stations, so I can get anywhere very easily. Deffo come back next time 😄

There’s no lift. The room was smell smoke of cigarettes.

Really well located and close to metro station. I’ve loved my stay, the place is cosy (old style hotel but I’ve liked it). Staff really welcoming and helpful ;)

Comfortable room, excellent location
No elevator, lugging a heavy bag up a tight staircase was a bit awkward.

great location, nice breakfast, charming staff
no complaints, there is no lift but it was not a problem for me

the staff were charming snd helpful producing maps and advice the Hotel is 2 mins from the metro and adjacent to a road with more than 90 restaurants
absolutely nothing we are fit so the stairs were not a problem . the breakfast was first class and plentiful

I booked a last minute stay as close to Paris centre as possible and chose the budget option. My room was advertised as single, but was in fact a small double, close to the bustling heart of Chatelet les Halles and a fabulous 1 night stay!

The location is excellent. Lots of good and reasonable price restaurants nearby. Walked to the river Seine and the shopping mall.
The hotel is a townhouse that has a steep and kind of narrow steps. But the facility is clean and quiet. The bathroom is new and big.
Breakfast was only Croissant and Baguette and coffee and OJ .
