I want to live here forever. This place is simply gorgeous. The daybed downstairs is very comfortable and where I slept. Very warm with the large fire and aircon downstairs and upstairs too. It was 1 degree on the night we stayed and had no problem at all. The views from the windows are stunning.

As I was chasing some wintery cold weather, I certainly found it the week that I was in Bridgetown! Freezing, but The Oak Barn is the warmest accommodation in Bridgie…and I stay in the region in winter a lot. So cosy, so warm, with a slow burning log fire and split system aircon/heaters. Hot air rises!! And with the bedroom upstairs in the loft you are 100% guaranteed a warm nights sleep. Situated in the outskirts of town, close enough to pop in, but rural enough to feel private…and across the road from Sunnyhurst Winery! Could not be better. Immaculately clean! With alot of thoughtful bits and bobs, needing absolutely nothing, comfy bed, games, books, loads of seating…I cannot rave enough. Jude and Mike awesome hosts who genuinely care about your experience in their Barn. Stay here!!

So peacful and the property is like a cabin from spain. The attention to detail with the property is amazing. Large timber doors, beautiful furniture and stained glass windows. Loved it.

This is the kind of experience you want to have when you stay in a country town. All surrounded by nature but all the details to make youe stay comfortable taken care of. I wish I had stayed longer, the place is lovely and Bridgetown has so much to offer.

Went away for a 2 night stay in August with my partner and what a romantic getaway we had. It was so nice to slow down I even took advantage of the DVDs and watched a movie during the day, something I never ever do! We will definitely be back but for longer next time.

A very pleasant and comfortable stay. Going that bit extra with very cute touches, from welcoming port to fresh flowers everywhere. Beautiful fire with plenty of wood on hand. Well appointed full kitchen. Very clean and inviting rooms. Thankyou for such a warm experience.

It was just like the pictures. Cozy and welcoming. Great location for checking out the tourist spots or just relaxing with a book on the balcony. Winery across the road. The hosts communicated straight back to our text when we had a problem. Fabulous stay

Stunning Cabin with everything you could want. Perfect location, country charm and perfectly decorated to show off the stunning barn. All the modern amenities you could need, they thought of everything. It truly was just what our family needed, a reboot for our body and soul. Waking up to the sounds of nature and watching the rain slowly come in to enjoying a cup of tea or port by the warm fire. Thank you so much, already recommended to 3 families

The Barn was so lovely. There is everything you need & extras to make you feel at home. Surrounded by trees & birds, very tranquil. The only downfall was going down the stairs to the bathroom

Beautifully renovated barn. Spa bath was lovely. Property is quiet, clean and easy to find. Chocolates and Port are a lovely touch.

The restored old barn is beautiful presented and is the perfect location for some R&R. All the little touches; from the spa bath, fire, DVDs and games, to the herbs, flowers, port and chocolates, all helped to make this stunning gem of a place even more special. Thank you for having us and our fur children. We absolutely loved our stay and we hope to see you again soon.

Would highly recommend, bear in mind the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. Bed is so comfortable, and the fittings are stunning.

What a great stay, we felt so relaxed. The fire, gorgeous barn / French provincial vibe was fantastic and the spa… amazing!

This is such a special place, so quirky and so comfortable. The location is wonderful with the views and easy walks in the area. The weather was awful, but we were warm inside and had everything we needed. A short drive into Bridgetown with its lovely shops and restaurants also adds to the location Would totally recommend

Enjoyable stay in well appointed accomodation

The pics do not do this place justice. It was pretty amazing! The view both sides of the property are awesome and the peace and quiet is a standout. An early morning cuppa on the balcony listening to the birds is perfect! The layout inside is ideal for a couple, with an open living area and a modern kitchen. The main bed upstairs suited us well, especially in winter because the warmth of the wood fireplace stays above the bed all night! Very toastie! The spiral staircase could be an issue for seniors (downstairs loo only), but if you want to stay separated from the kids or dog (lol), it s not an issue at all. Looking over the balustrade gives a full view of the living area to ensure they are behaving themselves! The host allowed our 2 pups and they loved the place. No front fence, so you can't leave them alone to wander, but the back yard offers plenty of places to explore and smell the possum activity overnight!! Bathroom and shower is great and heating is perfect. We did have an issue on the second night with a faulty smoke detector, but that was sorted straight away the next morning by the host, so good response there. We have been visiting Bridgetown for years, this is the first time we stayed here (regular place was sold), but we will definitely be back again.
