The location, between the village of Sarteneja (5min by bycle) and the jungle ..!! Really peacefull place, great Vibes and the horses are quiet fun ! Naty take care of you and will recommend good addresses in town! We feel so comfortable that we would like not to leave from horse cottage! I will come back for sure !

very well kept grounds and cottage

I cannot express just how wonderful staying at Horse Cottage was. From the moment I arrived I loved it. Nathalie is an incredible hostess and has thought of everything you could need to enjoy your stay, both in the cabins and the lovely communal kitchen area, including a Bialetti moka pot! She gives brilliant suggestions on what to do and where to eat, and even organised a takeaway delivery on my first night. The bed has the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. You can watch birds from the hammocks and it is just the perfect place to do nothing and relax. There are free bikes for the slow 5 minute ride into the village. I can't recommend it highly enough, Horse Cottage and Sarteneja are just magic. I stayed an extra night and wish my travel plans could have been extended to allow me to stay longer. If you do stay I highly recommend a guided tour of the area with Lindi, Nathalie can pass her details on and it was a brilliant way to spend a morning seeing places I never would have known existed without her!

Beautiful location!

Not much to not like. The smaller mattress had plastic on it, so that was kind of uncomfortable.

Nathalie is fantastic. She's super helpful and knowledgeable. It's about a 5 minute bike ride to town. The upgrades they have made are wonderful and we loved the horses. I would absolutely recommend staying here and will come back again.

Perfect place to calm down for a few days. Very relaxing and beautiful. You got to like horses and dogs though as the lovely animals at the Horse Cottage are pretty curious. :)

Very good host!

When I stayed at Wild Horse Cottage I had been travelling for 3 month already and I have to say that my stay there was one of the best during my travels. The cottage I stayed in was very clean, comfi bed and airy. Even though the bathroom is outside I would definitely recommend it. Because it is high up you do not have any bugs in the room, which is a huge pro. The owner was so very welcoming and super lovely. She picked me up anx gave me a ride to the bus station.

The owner/manager is a sweetheart. Very helpful and kind.

Amazing beautiful wooden cottages! the suro ding is very quiet with natures vibes all around, horses roaming free in the well maintaine yard! Nathalie offer a 4 stars service to make your stay unforgettable!

Natalie provides you with bicycles and any help & tips when needed. Cottages are very clean and spaceous.

The village isn’t large and wild wild horse cottage is located just outside the village it is literally a 10 minute walk to get in there and the seclusion is actually very peaceful

Lovely cabin, friendly people

Excellent host, who made sure we had everything we needed, including plenty of information on the village, surroundings and Belize in general. The location is a short walk to the village, or a very short ride by (complimentary) bike. Meals, breakfast to dinner, can be ordered and delivered. If you love animals, you can enjoy the sight of the horses or friendly dogs roaming the grounds. Note that dogs are very well trained and will not intrude, unless you insist on a cuddle, which they won't turn down.
