The staff. Elaine was lovely and very helpful. The location. Very convenient off the motorway. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Bit noisy between rooms which made our dogs bark!

Big room, clean. Breakfast perfect. Helpful staf. Peaceful surroundings. Inner courtyard very nice. It was our third stay in this hotel, last time 2015 on our way to and from the south of Spain. Hotel improved since.

It's a 3-star Hotel and you have to take it like that. Beds and bathroom cleaned every dag, floors could have been better. Number of staff kept to a minimum.

Normally the reception is closed in the evening, but because they knew we would arrive by train in later in the evening, they waited specially for our check-inn until we arrived. The hotel is the old primary school of the village and it is nicely converted into a cosy hotel. You can easily walk from the train station to the hotel and the beach, bar and restaurants are 15 minutes away on foot. Decent breakfast, providing enough for the energy to walk into Hondaribbia that afternoon. Good coffee!

It was really nice to stay there. and to know, that it was a school before gives the accommodation a really nice flair! :) I definitely recommend it!

No toiletries in the room

The receptionist was so friendly and could not do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable, as was the room itself. The breakfast was superb.

It was difficult to ensure water did not go out of the shower area, but apart from that...nothing.

Limited parking

Superb hotel. We travelled with our 2 dogs. Very clean, comfy and all the decor was perfect. Great breakfast. Guethary is a hidden gem.

The hotels great interior and history. Good location, value for money.

Bad smell in the room/bathroom (humidity?), this time (last time not). Very strict/non flexible breakfast and check out time, even in low season/on a Sunday. Unfortunately unpatient approach from staff regarding this, which took down our total experience.

Breakfast was wonderful and could be enjoyed in a charming courtyard garden. Staff and owner were very helpful, resourceful helping us with some needs we had, shared their passion and ideas for local food, beer, etc.

we stayed here at start of tour & was exceptional & returned at end for a night - we understand we were only there for one night but the disabled wet room was a bit of a disadvantage on the return - however everything else was perfect- lovely staff/ breakfast/ parking for van …. thank you J&S

no ability to bring food in the dining area or in the garden even though the hotel doesn’t provide this service. Regarding the « environment friendly » approach: the hotel could replace the water bottles by glass bottles, the electricity card should not be left permanently in the room and the air con system in my room requires that we open the window (not the best!). facilities a bit old
