We hadn't booked Bfast in advance as there are so many small bars in town. However we had an early morning and asked if we could have breakfast in the Riad. At first the owner told us we were too late (7 of us) to order but in the end she prepared a magnificent breakfast which was seved downstairs in the dining room. This we appreciated as it was easy,for one of the guests in particular of 89 years old, not having to climb up all those stairs to get the roof terrace. Due to some changes in our group the owner was flexible and didn't charge us anything extra. We had been here twice before booked by our guides. This time it was different but she was extremely helpfull.

We asked not to clean our rooms as it wasn't necessary. When we came back all our rooms (4) had been cleaned and all our personal belongings were moved around. For some of us this was not very pleasant. I would advise not to come into the rooms when guests specify this. WIFI on all floors wasn´t strong enough which made it hard to check emails or check-in for our flights. I would suggest to check it and improve the quality.

Wonderful host who made us feel warm and welcome. Beautiful Riad which felt very modern and clean but still with a homely feel. We were given heater and extra blankets during cold night. Would definitely recommend.

Visiting Essaouria in the "shoulder season" for tourism (January), we had a wonderful stay at the Riad Raoud Rayhane. It is in the midst of the Medina, narrow cobbled streets with no cars allowed. Suitcases brought from taxi stand to Riad by "charette" (cart) for USD 3 (plus tip). The manager, Ms. Halima, was considerate and attentive; she offered helpful suggestions for dining and shopping. Rooms clean, beds nice, Wifi, satellite TV (Arabic, French, English, etc.), breakfast served. We will gladly return. (Those with U.S.-issued Visa cards should consider settling the bill in Euros, the exchange rate was very favorable.)

Please note that the Riad is not equipped with an elevator, so inquire in advance if a climb to one of the upper-floor rooms would be a challenge.

Lovely room and bathroom, very friendly and courteous staff, location is very good. As it was particularly cold at night in Essaouira, they offered us a heater. Rooms cleaned everyday. The masseur in the Riad spa was excellent, highly recommend.

Brilliant from start to finish. Great host, location and beautiful Riad. It is quite contemporary so not like many of the other Riads we stayed at. We loved it.also ussed the hamman, which again was reasonable and top class.

Room was a little small, but really not an issue

Wonderful place, centrally located, interior of Ryad is superior! Evething is well looked after. It fells like it was newly renovated. Super friendly staff! We feel so welcome in this Ryad.

Breakfast could have a bit more choice.

If you want to stay in a traditional riad this place is great. Fully renovated in the centre of the Medina with high beautiful ceilings, comfortable beds and excellent shower, this place will take you back in time.

As with all traditional riads, the door is very thin so if you are a light sleeper you hear all sounds. We also found the room a bit small, good though for 2 days.

Perfect location. Right in the old time, close to nice restaurants and the city walls.

Room was very dark. No daylight and no fresh air. Smell was odd.

The location is quite central.

We really struggled to sleep, the doors and windows are not too thick so it doesn't protect from the noise outside (dogs and cats, cleaning staff talking outside early in the morning). But the staff was helpful and tried to arrange us a better room

Everything. This riad is a gem, team are helpful, beautifully appointed and within easy access to everything. Cannot thank team enough - especially the afternoon tea biscuit maker!

Location was perfect - just few steps away from the city centre and all souks, spas, shops, etc. Super nice SPA just outside the Riad with very sweet staff! :) Nice design of the Riad but requires further maintenance.

The staff cannot communicate in English (its mainly French or Arabic) so every time you have a request you must phone the main property administrator/owner (even just for extra toilet paper or towels) which is ridiculous. The property manager/owner is repeatedly trying to sell you their own services (such as SPA) not considering that there might be better ones around the area or someone just does not want to use the Riad's SPA - the Staff of the Riad is asked to Watch the guests through the camera to ensure they do not go to the SPA next door - this is very ridiculous and pre-mature... The level of humidity is huge - most of the rooms have no windows and are very tiny so its impossible to have some proper sunlight coming through. The whole block seems renovated but unfortunately, it seems 'sealed' with a lot of gypsum and thus, its not 'breathable', hence the humidity and lack of air in the rooms.

Small room, but nice furnished

Reconstructed keeping the traditional value of a Riad but adapted for the commodity of a turist.

The pillows were not so comfort. A little bit thicker for us. I would recommend having two options of pillows, a thicker one and a thinner one. So everybody can make its choice.
