service levels are top notch - everyone bends over backwards to help and make every guest happy. Food was great too! Our condo was huge and having laundry onsite was so helpful because we came from the jungle very dirty and one of my kids caught a stomach bug so as a mom it was a relief to have the laundry in suite

great food, had amenities and is in good condition without ever feeling crowded. perfect size for us and incredible to get picked up and dropped off at dock for all activities.

Breakfast was included and was always delicious.

a bit further from town but totally doable with golf cart. just wish there was a way to get into shallow water. there’s a pier but water seemed a bit deep to get into if you don’t know how to swim

First and foremost, the staff! I wish I could remember everyone’s name! Tristan and ALL the staff were attentive, welcoming and so friendly! Our villa was wonderful for the five of us. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! As son as we got home I was looking for tickets to return!

Great location just outside San Pedro- a fun golf cart ride into town for dinner and shopping! The villas were beautiful and had a full kitchen. The breakfast that was included was AMAZING and had something for everyone. Drinks were yummy too! Welcome drink was a great way to start our stay. Mini Reef at the end of the dock was a bonus. Wish we had stayed longer here!

Our 2 villas were in opposite towers and the third floor which required going down 2 flights of stairs and up 2 flights just to connect with the other group. Noceums were brutal- take precautions. I am still itching.

Loved staying here, we had an amazing apartment with pool and sea views. Delicious breakfast included (not a buffet). Food is fantastic. Beautiful setting including a jetty complete with sun beds and hammocks.

Pelican Reef was amazing. The property is gorgeous. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The room was affordable. 10/10

It was fairly south from the city of San Pedro, but as long as you had a golf cart, it was no problem at all.

The food is very good . My husband has allergy of black pepper. They are very cautious of his food. We had a very good time to stay in the Pelican reef village resort.

Everything! Staff, location, food, drink, clean rooms and bathrooms. Treated like family - or even better! Top notch all of the way around. Very pleased!

Pelican Reef Resort is lovely. It is about a 15-minute golf-cart ride (over sometimes bumpy roads) from the main town. You really need a golf cart to stay here if you want freedom to explore, but that was part of the fun. We enjoyed the quiet and being away from the crowds. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, as were the views. Not only is the decor tasteful and charming throughout, but the staff are as wonderful as the reviews describe. Tristan was extremely helpful with our planning for scuba and other excursions before and during the trip. He even helped me get a doctor's appointment right way when I had ear issues from diving. Tony was also great. Eliazar was our waiter every morning for the included and tasty breakfast, and he always had a smile. I was pleased that he remembered I wanted to practice my Spanish and always spoke to me in Spanish. A shout out to Cindy, who helped us on our way to the hotel the first night when it was dark and our luggage flew out of our golf cart :) The resort was never felt busy or crowded despite its 80% occupancy. It felt like staying in a quiet villa with family. We will definitely be coming back!!

It was all great! The only thing we would suggest is an afternoon happy hour.

People were super nice. The facility was great.

There were little no-see-um type bugs outside that bit the crap out of a few of us. We loaded on the bug spray too and still got tons of bites. Wasn't a fan of that part of the trip.

The complimentary breakfast was exceptionally delicious. The apartment was gorgeous and very well kept.

Work needs to be done to the road leading up to the resort. The stretch of dirt unpaved road was really bumpy and uncomfortable when going to shopping areas and coming back to the resort. Mosquitoes were plentiful but then again the area is called the Mosquito Coast.

Great property in a quiet part of San Pedro!!. The views from the dock were amazing. Watching the sunrise every morning on the beach was so peaceful. The rooms are large, modern, and very clean. The breakfast is amazing and staff are very friendly. Wifi worked well around the property. The private dock was helpful since any fishing, snorkeling or diving tours picked you up at the property.

The location and boutique feel is what really sets this place apart. We had a chance to go around the island and I kept thinking to myself that this was truly the most ideal place to stay. You will need a golf cart to get to town for dinner but other than that, there is no reason to really leave. a great bar set against the beach as a backdrop, its own private dock and comfortable, clean and spacious accommodations. ask the bar for delivery menus if you don't feel like trekking into town.

the spicy margaritas - too spicy :) the guests are mostly Americans from Texas :)

Everything! Lovely accommodations, very well equipped condo, super comfortable beds,, extremely helpful and friendly staff, delicious food and drinks, wonderful.pool, beautiful beach with sea wall to keep the sea grass away, plenty of nice padded chaise lounges with umbrellas on the beach and dock, hammocks, amazing snorkeling right of the dock, complimentary paddleboards, kayak, corn hole game, beach toys for the kids. The best possible lodging for our family group of 10, ages 5 to 75. The staff helped arrange snorkel, Maya ruins, sunset cruise, and cave tubing excursions that were all fantastic. Thanks to Tristian, Tony, Cindy, Byron, and all the rest of the staff for their unsurpassed efforts to make our vacation the best ever!

There was literally nothing not to like!!

The rooms were very comfortable and had a great view. The staff was amazing they even baked me a cake for my birthday.

It’s pretty far from the downtown area but if you book a tour with the resort you will get picked up on their dock making it very convenient. The area also had a lot of mosquitoes but I also went during high mosquito season.

From the reception and the hospitality of the staff to the quaint size of the property and private beach to the relative exclusiveness there was plenty to like! First time in San Pedro and we are already looking forward to re-booking at Pelican Reef Villas!

The only thing I would be critical of is the noise of the air conditioning. It was quite loud.

The breakfasts at Pelican Reef were delicious, the staff were very attentive and available to help with any questions you had. Tris was very helpful and super quick to answer any emails we had prior to arriving at the resort.

Golf carts were a tad expensive from the resort, they were much cheaper from other competitors on the island.
