Perfect location. Right on the water. Minutes from U.S. 1. Deck facing the sunrise over the lake. Nice dock for fishing, boat launching, ( I kayaked every morning at sunrise ), or just sitting with an adult beverage. Cottage is equipped with everything you need for your stay. Immaculate. Second floor bedrooms a little tight for adults but perfect for kids. Nice grill and fire pit. Super market just minutes away. We spend a week in Maine every year and this cottage gets two thumbs up.

This is a beautiful lakefront cabin in a quiet setting. The cabin had all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Gail was wonderful to work with and quick to answer all questions. She was also very helpful in making suggestions regarding the local area. Everything was clean and well kept. We will be coming back next year!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Gail & Tom were available just in case The cottage has been completely remodeled but still has that cottage charm. Swam at the very new looking dock all week ! Very restful & relaxing vacation which is what we were looking for! It had everything you would need , the fire pit was a bonus .

The cottage has everything you need for an excellent vacation. Our family of 4 adults plus a friend were very comfortable here. The cottage is super clean and the hosts are amazing. You can’t beat the location, right on the lake. Highly recommend!

Great location… extremely quiet…. Close to fall activities… very relaxing…. Grocery store nearby…very friendly and helpful host. Pretty much any utensils needed to cook was there. We will definitely be back sometime…. Probably in the summer.

This cabin was fantastic! It had a great location, was clean, decorated adorably, had everything you needed in the kitchen, great use of space, and awesome communication from the super friendly and helpful property manager. There was beautiful stargazing from the tranquil dock. I gave 4 stars because we stayed with another couple and one of them is over 6ft tall which presented some challenges in the cozy space. The downstairs bed with ample head space is a full (not enough leg room) and the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed has the pitched ceilings as you can see in the photos. The upstairs bed was also a bit creaky and kept us up a bit in the downstairs room below. I'd definitely go back and highly recommend but would plan to go with less people for a more comfortable stay!

October was cozy in this once one room schoolhouse. Gail was a great help setting up a communication hiccup. Everything I needed was handy and well thought out.

We enjoyed staying at this location with its ease of access to Route 1 and all the mid coast has to offer. This housekeeping cabin offers the perfect Maine vibe with its sweet cottage design, Front deck perfect for your morning coffee and steps away from a dock with easy access to lake. Comfortable and cozy. Can’t wait to come back!

It's really nice waking up and having coffee on the dock as the sun rises. Everything was clean and the cabin is nicely equipped.

Was wonderful being right on a lake. The kids went swimming everyday. We enjoyed looking for and listening to the natural wild life like eagles and loons. We kept all of the windows open and loved the fresh air. Our host, Gail, was very responsive to questions. Kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed making use of the grill outside. Wish the angled ceilings upstairs were a little taller, adults bumped their heads a couple times. Overall the house and location was great, was the relaxation we needed.

We had such a great time! Gail was an extremely wonderful host and made check in and check out a breeze. The cottage was just as pictured, if not better. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back soon.

We had such an amazing week at this cottage. The lake was right outside the back door with excellent swimming, fishing, and kayaking/paddle boarding. The cottage was perfect for our family of 5 and Gail was so responsive to all questions. We look forward for o staying here again!!!

The listing was as pictured online and Gail very communicative and attentive. It's a gorgeous spot-- far enough away if "away" is what you need but close enough to amenities, beaches, state parks, etc.

Beautiful cottage right on Pemaquid lake. Very comfortable with everything you need.

Our 2 weeks were all we hoped and asked for. A lovely cabin that was perfect for our needs. Very clean and well outfitted, close to shopping and restaurants yet still private and peaceful. The lake is perfect for canoeing and kayaking, or if your boat is motorized there is a public ramp right around the corner. Sailing or paddle boards would be great also. Fishing was very successful with large and small mouth bass from the canoe and from the dock. We would not hesitate returning for another week or two. Sunrise from the porch. Sunsets from the water. Beds are comfy. Modern kitchen and bath. Smores by the fire pit. Thanks Gail for making this cabin available to rent.

The cabin is just as we hoped. Lovely sunsets from out on the water in kayaks or canoe. Wonderful view from inside an out. Beds are comfy. Kitchen well appointed. Bathroom is modern and very nice. Lots of windows to open for breezes. A wonderful dock for sitting, diving, fishing, etc. Very private and quiet spot. Never figured out the Dish network for TV but who needs TV in a place like this. Headroom upstairs is a bit low but easy to manage. Can hear traffic from Rte 1 just a bit but not terrible. We had a few local folk over and they all agreed it is a lovely spot and a very nice cabin. Our 2nd week here will be quieter than the first for more canoe and kayak time, and lounging. The photos that show the listing are accurate. No surprises. Very convenient to dining, shopping, and everything a renter might want. Thanks Gail.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Gail's property is and about how much we enjoyed our stay there. This quintessential Maine cottage has so much charm! It is small, but set up so well that the small size was never an issue for my family, a group of 6, 2 parents and 4 adult children. We loved having the lake and dock so close to the house, the ability to see the "kids" in the lake while we had coffee on the deck, or enjoying the campfire after a quick dip in the lake. We brought our canoe and explored just a small section of this beautiful lake. There is picnic table outside where we ate every night, and it was perfect for my son's 25th birthday lobster dinner! (we could also eat inside if needed) In the evening we worked on a puzzle together, played games or enjoyed the campfire. Although there are two nice TV's in the house, we never even turned them on! The house was impeccably clean upon arrival and maintained beautifully. The location is perfect for exploring the Maine coast as well. We ventured out to Rockland, Campden, Bristol and Darimiscotta. Pemaquid Beach is beautiful, as well as La Verna Preserve and Pemaquid lighthouse. We all had a wonderfully relaxing time together as a family and created some beautiful memories that will never be forgotten. Thank you Gail!

Our family loved their stay at this traditional Maine camp. The swimming was excellent. Proximity to services was great. We would definitely recommend this camp.

We stayed here for my brothers wedding. It was the most adorable cottage and it’s right on the water. We loved Gail! She was helpful and super friendly. Four adults and an infant stayed comfortably in this cabin and she had everything you need! It wasn’t a heated cottage but she had space heaters and they worked perfectly! We will definitely be back some day.

This property was in a great location, not only the lovely lake front access and view, but being off of Route 1 with access to all attraction destinations. This adorable cottage was very clean and perfectly laid out for our needs. It definitely brought back positive childhood memories of visiting my aunt's Maine cottage.Being that we visited in fall, the fire pit was a nice feature to have. Communication with Gail the owner was excellent. She answered all our questions and provided information in a timely fashion. We definitely intend to stay here again the next time we are in Maine.

Loved the cabin. Nicely decorated and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Loved seeing the cormorant on the dock, and the loons on the lake. So lovely and peaceful.

We (two sisters) enjoyed staying in this cottage in mid-September. The cottage is perfect for two people - clean, cute and comfortable. Despite proximity to Rt.1 I could not hear road noise inside the property, outside it was minimal and not bothersome. During our stay, the owner, who lives next door, stopped by to introduce herself and make sure were comfortable, and also let us know the property's interesting history: the cottage is a historic schoolhouse moved from its original location. The land was previously owned by a Red Sox catcher who played in the 1920s. We really enjoyed the lake--we had kayaks delivered and picked up from a local outfitter. The water temp was comfortable for swimming even on Sept 15. Note: there is no wireless so bring your own hotspot ability. That said, only one of us could connect to cellular service (Verizon user), the other had no service at all (sprint user).

This was our first experience renting through VRBO, and it exceeded all our expectations! We were looking for a clean private cottage where we could enjoy the lakefront and have access to nearby attractions. The setting was perfect, as was the cottage itself. The cottage has been very tastefully renovated and provides everything one needs to feel at home. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening sunsets on the porch and dock, along with easy access to midcoastal destinations. We appreciated the ability to shop nearby stores and experience some excellent New England dining. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning.
