Great centrally location place in Girdwood. Nothing fancy, but has all the needed amenities for a large group who like simple accommodations.

Excellent experience. Communication was as easy as could be. Direct phone number and answered immediately. House was clean and had all necessities you could need. Close walk to ski lifts and beautiful views. First time to Alaska and the home was a huge impression! Thanks a bunch!

We hosted our bridal party at the Asian Motif Lodge for our wedding weekend. It was a perfect location and fit all of us very comfortably. The deck was large and the perfect place for dinner in the sunshine!! Thank you!!

The house was spacious and cozy. Great for family togetherness. The house is conveniently located in between the resort and town. The only draw back was the TV. It was not big enough and in an area that was not viewable for everyone to enjoy football and movie night. Mrs. Shomen is a wonderful host and made sure I knew how to reach out to her personally if needed. This was the Cherry on my family vacation 🥰

I rented this house for my son's bride and her brides maids they loved being all together to get ready for the wedding. They said it was wonderful and very comfortable. Shoman was always available to answer any questions highly recommend this house

My family wanted to do something around Christmastime together, so we rented the house to stay together with our children. We live in Alaska & are familiar with the area, and were pleasantly surprised at the central location. The house was clean, well stocked, had plenty of beds & all we needed! Shoman was SO kind & helpful.

We loved the rental, it was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The location and views were great. Communication with the owner was very easy, she was always easy to reach and very accommodating.

We had 8 people in our party; most were from California and are accustomed to upscale lodging when traveling. This home fit the bill, in that it was decorated well and appointed with things for comfort - stocked kitchen with coffee maker, dishwasher, tea service, etc. We also very much appreciated the ability to do laundry (as it was the end of our trip). The location can’t be beat; walking distance to restaurants and the bike path. The owner was very communicative and clearly invested in hospitality. Self check-in was quick and easy, and our deposit was refunded promptly after our departure. We will stay here again when we’re next in Girdwood.

We were in Girdwood for our sons wedding. We had 10 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby. The house was great. The downstairs is not as nice as the upstairs but turned out to be the coolest and quietest rooms in the house. Loved that each regular bedroom has its own bathroom. The 5th bedroom is more of a sleeping space consisting of a mattress on a platform with sliding doors. No closet. Perfect for older kids but was a surprise to us. Kitchen needs a few more mixing bowls but we made do.... salad in a pot works just as well as salad in a bowl!! We were happy with our stay and appreciated Shoman’s hospitality and professionalism. Cleaning deposit was refunded within a few days of our return.

I always wonder when people give a full 5 out of 5 but this place deserves 6 out of 5!! The owner was amazing, easy and quick communication. Very accommodating. The only thing I didn't realize is that the house is 3 stories. Our large party meant we rented every room and bed available, and it was perfect! I am not complaining about the three levels, was just something I hadn't realized from photos and descriptions. Photos show what the house truly looks like with the exception of living room couches are different. Comfortable bed, house, deck, everything was perfect! Kitchen fully stocked! We brought our own coffee but forgot to grind it, that's okay, they had a grinder! Bathrooms every level and tons of hot water for all 10 of us to shower! Steam room/shower was AMAZING! I really hope we have a large family event again so we can go back and stay in this amazing lodge. Highly recommend this location if you have a large group and are looking for a place that is comfortable and very much "home". My only recommendation is that night lights would be appreciated. Being of that age (and having kids) getting up to potty some of the halls/rooms were really dark. We personally had one of the rooms that didn't have its own bathroom, but again it wasn't far to the one near us, just dark in the fall at night in AK. :) Love this house! Love this location! Worth every penny!

We had a large group staying here for a wedding. The owner, Shoman, couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The property was the perfect layout for our group. We also rented the downstairs apartment. Large deck was nice for sitting out on an unusually warm weekend. This home is in a neighborhood setting with homes a little closer together than the other side of Alyeska Hwy.

We stayed for a family wedding. The bed configurations and number of bathrooms could not have been better for comfort and getting 10 people ready at the same time! The owner went way out of her way to get us a new coffee grinder, even though coffee grounds were available. (Maybe the previous renters broke grinder without reporting?) She also arranged for the return of a pair of shoes that were accidentally left in a cubby at the front door, among with the slippers provided. The kitchen was well stocked. Just a note - the two downstairs bedrooms and bathroom were not as appealing as the rest of the house. Be on the lookout for wildlife, bear and moose in the area, especially on the hiking trails.

We rented Shoman's home for our son's wedding held in Girdwood, Alaska. She helped us make arrangements to check in early and provided for all we needed while we were there. The outside deck with the BBQ was a great entertainment spot for our family. The house is located within walking distance of the village and across from the new brewery. The house has many homey touches that reflect Shoman's travels around Asia. I would highly recommend staying in this VRBO again!

First I want to say the property manager was AMAZING in being available every time I had questions or concerns. I do believe the property was described and photographed a bit differently than expected. Didn’t realize the house was split up into two units named different things, felt like two apartments with locking doors. Very separated. Also, sound echoed very poorly. While in the main bedroom and someone walked up the stairs it sounded like aheard of elephants. I’m glad I brought earplugs because even talking was so so loud, including even someone simply taking a shower. The bathroom on the main level had hard rocks that were loose on the flooring and would lift when you walked on them. The stove was VERY touchy. If you accidentally leaned up against the knobs the gas would turn on!! Once during the event I messaged worried there was a gas leak! This proceeded to happen three times before I just pulled the knobs off the stove and put them in a drawer. Ice maker was frozen solid, had to pull the machine out and bang into a cooler to get the old ice out then run hot water thru the container to fix it. Back deck was big and great, loved having the grill and picnic benches. Was moderately supplied in the kitchen, even had the extra mixers that i asked about. But the style was that of an Asian kitchen IE very small coffee/tea cups, would prefer larger cups. Plenty of paper towels, dish soap, towels, blankets etc...no issues there. I would not rent this particular unit again, the layout simply didn’t fit our goal for this trip.

We had a wonderful time at this lodge - fit for a large group, who were ready for a weekend of relaxation. Thank you, Shoman, for your quick responses and helpful information about your house. Us "moms" had just what we needed for a weekend away.

Would definitely recommend!

We’ve rented this home twice this year, and we’ll return in the future.
