Le "Sandbox" est un charmant cottage de 3 chambres à seulement 187 pas de la belle plage de Popham qui offre des bassins de marée, des îles, des phares, plus de cinq kilomètres de plage de sable et deux vieux forts en pierre à explorer.
Le chalet peut accueillir confortablement six personnes avec des couchages composés de deux chambres traditionnelles (un lit queen dans un et deux lits jumeaux dans l'autre) et un lit de taille normale situé dans notre magnifique solarium enveloppant.
Le "bac à sable" est niché dans la communauté historique pittoresque de Popham Village. Vous pourrez vous promener, pêcher, nager, faire de la randonnée et ramasser des coquillages le long de la plage. Si vous avez faim, vous pouvez marcher seulement 5 minutes jusqu'au restaurant de Spinney pour profiter d'un petit-déjeuner, d'un déjeuner, d'un dîner OU d'une glace au bord de l'océan.
Le chalet dispose d'Internet, de jeux, de puzzles, d'un gril au propane, d'une bibliothèque de DVD et d'un foyer au gaz pour les nuits côtières brumeuses lorsque vous voulez simplement rester et vous détendre. La grande véranda est conçue pour être à la fois une salle communautaire où les amis et la famille peuvent se détendre en écoutant le bruit des vagues de l'océan qui entoure le chalet en plus d'être une chambre incroyable.

This house was perfect for families! It was so convenient to have the property stocked with everything from kitchen essentials, games, linens, and outside/beach gear. Even though we had planned ahead an brought a lot of things we thought we would need (for beach/outside) it was nice to have the back up of more to pick from!

We found the Sandbox a few years ago and now have made it our annual summer vacation location. Lynn and Ben love their property and they also love sharing it with others. We are grateful. The cottage, the yard, the location to the ocean--- we love it all!

We had had a fabulous week. the weather wasn't the best for the beach but the kids loved the yard and enjoyed playing on the sun porch. There was plenty of room for play as well. The cottage is adorable, The kitchen is well equipped. the hosts got back to us quickly over any questions/concerns we had

The wonderful wide, sandy beach abutting the State Park is just heaven. Pups loved stick play in the water. Early summer is rainy and sunny both and a bit cool. Definitely jacket weather and good sleeping weather. The wild beach roses were in full bloom and there were no crowds! All in all a lovely vacation.

We found The Sandbox a few years ago and are glad we did! The house is clean and cute, the yard is large enough that we can play games and kids can run around. The neighborhood is quiet and we have our privacy. The beach access is a path and truly 187 steps!! We can easily go back and forth to home from the beach for naps, meals, breaks etc. Every year my granddaughter asks if this trip can be our tradition. We are loving it and look forward to next year which will be our 4th!!

Wonderful time at Popham Beach
We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Lynn's sweet cottage is charming and inviting. There is plenty of space and comfortable corner that allowed us to enjoy quiet time, meals outdoors, breakfast on the porch, and lots of time to relax. The location made it easy to spend the day at our favorite beach. Lynn was gracious and helpful -- she went above and beyond to make our stay a true vacation.

Cozy, relaxing getaway
This place is a beautiful, cozy, nostalgic cottage in a quiet neighborhood. It's close to the beach and so very relaxing. Great place to just chill. Everything was very clean and all the necessary amenities were provided. Lynn responded to any questions I had with lightning speed. Both her and Ben are such very nice people. It was great!

A dreamy dose of woods and sea!
The cottage was all we needed! Better than we expected actually!! The location was awesome, tucked away in a wooded private street with a short walk to the ocean. Super close to the Front which was fun to explore. The real beautiful beach that was the ultimate highlight of the trip was about a 20 minute walk - and well worth every step... the tide pools and walk to the island was somethignwe will never forget... just magical. the only bummer we had was that the only restaurant in a short distance was closed all week and only open for takeout on the weekends - Spinneys_ but the kitchen was well stocked to cook in and we had fun doing that. We went into Bath one day to explore which is an adorable town about a half hour away. I miss it already and will absolutely daydream of the day we make it back there. Thank you Lynn!

Our favorite place on earth.
Immaculate, welcoming, and all the amenities one could ask for. The Jacobs(Lynn and Ben) provided so many essentials that we were pleasantly surprised and appreciative. Lynn was classy in her concern for us and provided everything we could have expected including timely communication. She was a perfect host, and I would recommend this property without reservation.

Popham Amazing house
This house is 1 block from beach and is amazing!! The property manager is so easy and helpful to work with. The house has so many amenities. The beds were VERY comfortable!! If you are headed to Popham beach, this it the house you want to stay in!!! Loved it!!

Sandbox stay
Had a lovely time. The Sandbox is homey and welcoming and comfortable. Some time was spent with family and some time as a solo retreat. The yard space is beautiful and particularly nice for pets and privacy.

Great cottage!
This is the 2nd year that we have stayed here. We love staying here, it is always clean, the owner is great with communication and it’s a 2-3 minute walk from the beach. It’s perfect for a group of 6 people, we will continue to come back every year!

Sandbox Vacation
We had such a fun and relaxing week at this wonderful property! The cottage was so clean and comfortable and offered all of the conveniences of home by being so well stocked with dishes, lawn chairs, inside and outside games and a comfy hammock! Lynn has clearly thought of everything her guests might want or need.We are already missing the beautiful porch along with the beach!

Rocky planning but heaven in the end
The property owner Lynn was wonderful she was helpful when things were difficult with Vrbo. VRBO was not easy to navigate and made mistakes in the canceling and rescheduling process. Lin helped me all the way. And her home is lovely. Comfortable fully-equipped. All that we hoped for.

Delightful!
I wanted to have a Popham Beach vacation with my grandchildren (age 2 and 7). Lynn and Ben's cottage was the place we chose to accommodate my husband and I along with our son, his wife and the kids. It was perfect! The cottage is clean, well equipped , comfortable and cozy, in a quiet, private neighborhood. It was so easy to access the beach. A clearly marked path made it easy to find the way. We never packed lunches because we could walk home to eat. The yard is large with lawn and welcoming woodlands. We felt like true guests here. Clearly, Lynn and Ben want their renters to feel comfortable. Many unexpected niceties.

Lovely Maine coastal cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this nice cottage just steps away from miles of beaches. Lots of fun exploring this beautiful rugged (and remote) area. This had all the features we needed and great communication with the owners. We would stay again!

Mid-June in Maine is a bit changeable and often chilly and blustery ~~ alternating with toasty warm ~~ and all with a good dose of biting insects! Being near the ocean is almost always breezy which helps with the bugs. Our cool, wet weather was tempered by the Sandbox's huge array of indoor games and wifi as well as a propane fireplace which was very effective in chasing the chill. Warm days we could enjoy the porch and the lovely, large private yard. In all weather, the beach was a draw and a 5 minute walk for us and our doggies and visiting grandchildren. Miles of sandy beach on river and ocean. Charlie loves birding and we were able to view nesting piping plovers and the small chicks!
Popham village is in itself a quaint and sweet delight and Spinney's ~~ the restaurant within walking distance ~~ provides any meal one doesn't feel like cooking. The peninsula hosts many land trust walking trails and there are interesting historical attractions in Popham village and elsewhere nearby.
The cottage was fully equipped with everything and anything we might need and the beds were comfy and made up with the highest quality linens. We wanted for nothing ~~ except to stay longer!

Beautiful, clean, lovely linens, large flat grassy yard, so many windows and bright cheery inside. We had 6 adults and 1 baby and were very comfortable.

Great Place To Get Your Toes Wet!
We had a fantastic time staying at this quaint Cottage just steps away from beautiful Popham Beach. This area is close to Portland, Maine, LL Bean, an amazing ship museum in Bath and near many great restaurants. Bath, Maine is a sweet little town known for it's shipbuilding. Popham's history is also fascinating.
The beach house is equipped with a sound working kitchen and grill. The twin beds and queen size beds are comfy. The porch was a treat!
Lynn, hostess of Sandbox, made sure we arrived and she answered texts quickly.
We also liked having access to the TV and internet. We really enjoyed Lynn's lovely beach cottage. We would definitely return to this sweet spot on Popham Beach.
