Great location, friendly and helpful staff!

Execellent service. We came late (22.00), it appeared that our car was too high to enter the hotel garage, nearby restaurants were just about to close, and Michael (night receptionist) helped us with all this quickly and efficiently. He went well beyond his duties!
Other people at the reception desk were king and helpful as well
The central location of the hotel is very convenient: right at the seaside, very close to the main pier for the ferries, the center, restaurants and so on.
Hotel garage could be higher (it is till 180 cm).
Beds are not comfortable enough.
And there was one exception within the overally high quality od the service: the night receptionist on the evening 3.05. When we came back, she was very involved in exchange in the bar, did no come to the reception until I started to make noise using several room kees just left carelessly on the desk (!), and finally did not give us a satisfying answer concerning our problem about coming departure (we got this information easily in the morning). Generally, she was unfriendly and seemed incompetent.

Location, close to beach and beach restaurants
Stayed here 4 years ago but seems a little past it's best now. Stayed in a Seaview room which was quite expensive. The small terrace area outside the room overlooked a raised area which was once a swimming pool but has been filled in and lawned but looked rather neglected.

great location, walking distance to all key city sights. great restaurant right across the road.
Spacious room, v clean and comfortable, quirky and in a beautiful old building. perfect air-con, shower etc.
I booked and paid for via Booking.com. when I arrived in Bordeaux I received a text via WhatsApp from an unknown person introduced the self as the concierge for the ‘apart-hotel’ and asked for a deposit to be paid ..via an online link…or No access to the apartment. deposit was not mentions by booking.com or in correspondence directly with the ‘hotel, the person was very insistent but it felt very like a fraudulent phishing text so I passed to the Hotel contact (via app messenger ) to validate but for no reply. I called Booking.com who said under NO circumstances to share my credit card details with the what’s app correspondence or via any link . so after a long correspondence (using english/French translation) i suggested and agreed I would give details after meeting face to face. all of this was unnecessary and should have been communicated and organised in advance.
also I booked the accommodation as a hotel, however it isn’t , so no onsite desk. it took a lot of walking around to find a cafe that did breakfast…some recommendations in the area would be great.

very helpful staff, comfy bed, cool and sparkling water available 24/7 without using plastic bottles.
There was a big step to get on to the terrace which didn’t bother us but might others.
