Comfy bed and good size room

Room was dirty - shower dirty and rubbish under beds from previous guests. Not enough tables for breakfast and those that were there had not been cleared

La taille de l’espace pour le petit dej. Tout petit par rapport au nombre de chambres dans l’hôtel et du coup au nombre de personnes. Chambre pas faites tous les jours. Plus de gel douche et pas rempli. Fenêtre abîmée. Très mauvais rapport qualité prix.

The friendly atmosphere, nothing seemed too much trouble.

It was just a little too far for us due to my mother’s age. Which was my mistake but there was an excellent bus services so it didn’t cause us too many issues.

Bathroom was mouldy. All days exactly same bland breakfast. No cuisine,nothing. No dinner options provided other than cup noodles. The furniture in the room was old. Tv is from 90s!!!

Room never seemed to be cleaned, it was definitely never swept. The lights were changed on the first day and remained on the table the whole stay. The bed was made by only pulling the comforter over. The sofa was very stained, never felt like we were on a clean room.

Very spacious studio room with cooking facilities. Bright room and comfortable.

The bed was not firm and it affected my back. No air conditioning was a problem as the room was very hot. We had to change rooms because of the condensed heat on the 7th floor. We asked for an extra bath towel and never got it. No one cleaned our room even though we left the tag off the door. We had no hand soap in the dispenser and ran out of toilet paper and bath towels.

The location is great, Room was clean.

There are a few points: 1. There is no air conditioning in the hotel. Although the temperature outside was cold, the room was like a hot box. 2. When you pay more than £350 per night you don’t expect to use a noisy fan that circulates hot air. 3. The reception and breakfast area are same which doesn’t seem very pleasant. Very basic breakfast.

Excellent location for festival Fringe events.

Room and hallways were incredibly hot. Although outside air was cool, window openings and other methods to draw in outside air were tiny. My room door closer was broken. Two requests to front desk failed to get a repair over 4 days. Finally tracked down the maintenance guy. Elevator broke down twice, forcing us to hike up 7 floors.

We had a room upgrade which we appreciated and the bed was very comfortable - room and bathroom very clean with plenty of towels and toiletries - good hairdryer. Breakfast provided a good selection.

Quite expensive - but we needed a central location. Breakfast time was very crowded and we struggled to find a table.

This hotel was very clean and even had a ice a machine. First time we see it in Europe! Our room was ready when we arrived.

There is no AC but we had fan but was sometimes hard to make it work. It would turn off in the middle of the night. Also, our connecting door had problems and our neighbor next door was curious of the door and almost opened it (it was midnight and we were sleeping). This was very scary especially since we were two young girls in the room. When this happened it was about midnight, we went downstairs to reception, they told us the guest had checked in right now and was probably curious about the door. The next day we went to the lobby again stating that we checked the door and it was not locking. Immediately maintenance came to fix it.

Washed plates were constantly smelling of egg & bacon. Need to use lime infused dishwasher tablets

We were warmly welcomed by staff and there were some useful extras such as the kitchenette which were used during our stay. The location was in a quieter part of the city but very close to all amenities and the start of the Edinburgh marathon which was the purpose of our visit.

The bed was not particularly comfortable which was a shame as other aspects of the room and its design exceeded expectations. The price was also massively inflated because of the marathon.
