I chose Mas El Ferres because it was in the area I wanted to visit and had the facilities, swimming pool and half board, I required. Previous reviews were very complimentary about the accommodation and facilities and I would agree that it is an excellent place to stay. The setting is rural, the whole place, inside and out, is impeccably clean, and the staff are welcoming and efficient. The swimming pool is of a very good size and well maintained. Previous negative review comments about the food and wifi I found to be unfounded; the food is simple but plentiful and well served for both breakfast and dinner, the wifi functioned well in the bedroom and outside. I would highly recommend the property in terms of great value for money.

We loved the pool, the fact that it is a working farm and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was good local produce and a relief that it’s not a buffet. Coffee and toast freshly made and served with a smile. On a road trip of 9 days, this was definitely the best place we stayed.

breakfast was very good dinner as well and overal everything was fine. Carmen was an excellent host friendly helpful etc. We have asked to return in April 2023 when Carmen opens her bookings. The walk from the old part of the village to the Gorgues and Sant Marti de Castellon

A great location with ideal facilities for hikers or families looking for a quiet place to relax. The hotel sits amongst farms just off quiet lanes leading north to Olot and La Garrotxa, which makes it ideally placed for great walking and sight-seeing, but also as an escape from Barcelona for a few days. The pool is ideal and the staff really kind and friendly.

There's very little to dislike - the staff always do their best to help out if there's a problem.
