it was a great location off the square, quiet, clean roof top balcony for evening a night sitting was perfect. just accommodating.

This property is excellently situated a stone's throw from a pretty square with restaurants and within walking distance of ..plenty of walks...! The beds were comfy, the place very clean and we slept well. The heating was swift to warm the place up and we took our own firewood for a fire though this can be purchased from the manager i believe.

Unfortunately the property manager had given us the wrong phone number so our advance message to tell her our arrival time was received by a stranger who did not let us know the mistake, However once we'd been able to find the correct number through booking.com we contacted her and she came immediately. She helpfully replaced the kettle which we notiecc was absent - it had been stolen by previous occupants!! The flat, though pleasant, is rather soulless with ratehr a lot of banal pictures which detract from an otherwise reasonable decor. There were a few minor frustrations eg having to make up the bed on arrival, and the bath and kitchen towels, athough very clean, were very non absorbent so drying oneself or crockery was difficult. There was little in the way of basics apart from a tiny amount of washing up liquid. There was no kitchen roll in the kitchen roll holder, and we were left with just half a toilet roll and no spare for a two night stay, which was insufficient. There was one socket in the kitchen for the toaster, kettle and microwave which was tedious. We would certainly return here - just better prepared and not expecting to cook gourmet meals (there are just 2 rings, no oven)! However, I'd rather pay just a little more and access eg salt, pepper, olive oil perhaps, and a spare toilet roll, some kitchen roll, some matches for the fire. I feel with a little more thought/effort this place could be more appealing.
