Big grounds and outdoor space, good location for the port.
Only 1 bath towel per day

Friendly and supportive staff. Free shuttle from and to the airport. Food is decent. The grounds are very nice and the pool was popular (but not too overcrowded.)
The wifi usually worked but there would be issues with it a couple of times a day, so it's not reliable.

Comfortable, clean bed
Check in experience, not accepting Mastercard, quality of breakfast, range of what was available at the bar etc.

it was ok.
Staff friendliness to everyone not selective client.

The size of the room
The staff was very unfriendly, every time you would ask a question they would sigh, sometimes respond, sometimes just walk away. The window to our downstairs room did not lock, which raised security concerns. The in-room safe did not work. Mosquitos in the room. Mold everywhere, floors not clean. And some ridiculous charges, like charging for the small kid park and having to walk to the reception in order to do it and then back to the kid park.

have nice swimming pool.
bunglows are not clean and are not good for stay.

Great pool, excellent restaurant, spacious bungalow, nice staff. They held a fun easter egg hunt for kids.
Surprised to get there and to be very discouraged by guards to not enter the beach at all due to concern for personal security on beach. Basically no beach access as a result. Hotel doesn't want to have liability for guests at the beach. Many mosquitos in bungalow despite us being very careful to keep doors amd windows closed.

good location, huge pool, lots of grounds to walk around, very green and lush
food was ok but not great, Wi-Fi is not strong, breakfast is very expensive ($20/person), lots of mosquitoes in the rooms, can’t go to the beach (security closed the gate to the beach due to safety concerns)

The gardens and the pool are really nice. The gardens are perfectly kept. The house keepers are very friendly and service minded.
There are many negative comments here, many of them we can confirm. Apart from the few renovated rooms, the hotel needs refurbishment. There are rusty pins and pipes, old toilets, dirty carpets an unattractive reception area etc. If you take two towels at the pool you are rudely told you may only take one towel. That is not a four star hotel worthy rule. Most of the pool sun chairs are old and badly maintained. There are only a few shady places. The coffee machine at breakfast is totally inadequate. When food items are gone from the breakfast buffet, it takes forever until they are replaced. Breakfast staff are not friendly and service oriented. There are two entrances from the street to the hotel grounds. When we wanted to enter by food from the car exit we were told to have to walk the very long way to the other end of the hotel grounds and enter from there.

We were disappointed that there was no beach access.

Where do I start.
the most expensive hotel in the vicinity.
the Wi-Fi is practically non existent, it’s impossible to get work done let alone conference calls.
the staff have no clue how to look after their guests. they are rude and akin to prison guards.
They do not come to see to your needs at any meal, unless you are one of the pretty women that are staying. I asked for a coffee with my breakfast and I was told to make it myself.
the staff at the beach pizza bar are just as bad. we got charged for drinks that we’d already paid for, because they couldn’t or wouldn’t change the ticket.
they would rather sit and be on their mobile phones than look after the guests.
asked for a beer they just wondered off and decided to fold napkins. when I went over after 10 minutes to ask where the beer was, I was curtly told it’s coming.
and don’t you dare try and go out the right hand gate. to walk to the blue turtle resort round the corner, which has super friendly staff, you are confronted by the security guards who have no idea why you can’t go out the gate and when you question them they get the armed guards to come over. bear in mind it is safer to walk out that gate as there is less exposure to the outside.
the swimming pool staff are rude. Don’t ask for another towel. You are only allowed one.
oh and the brightly lit sign that says Sarakawa Beach, yeah, don’t try to go down it. you’re not allowed.
I’ve had better stays in and 80’s Butlins camp and had more freedom in the transit camps I’d stayed in when I was in the army.
all in all this has been a bitterly disappointing trip which is a stark contrast from the same trip this time last year.
it’s a rip off at these prices given the faults.
