Bright, quiet and comfortable home near the shops and good walking area. A nice greeting with fresh flowers, wine and milk in the fridge.

The cottage was extremely comfortable. After settling in we were visited by our host, who showed us the few extra 'treats' that were included in the cottage. The cottages are so handy to pretty much all of Bicheno. Would not hesitate to stay there again on a future visit.

The location was fantastic, close enough to walk to 90% of the town. Good shops, fresh seafood were all easy to get to. Would definitely recommend and book again.

Only minor dislike was the frying pan was warped and surface was not suitable for cooking.

we liked the presentation, old world charm of the furniture and its history, the kitchen facilities and condiments provided, the location, communications with owner re Coles Bay fire info, the lavender sprigs with the extra towels,

there were three of us so we moved the table away from the window to under the bench, making it easier to get into the kitchen as well as eat from. We also needed somewhere to put our make up bags in the bathroom so we moved the little table holding the flowers into the bathroom careful not to get it wet. we wanted to move the double chair to face the TV and the single chair to face the door but found it too difficult to move. would have been nice to have some sort of small/low height table where the TV is

Historical features and information - we were staying in the Gaol House. Warm and comfortable. Excellent location. We would stay again.

Overhead lighting was very bright; I moved bedroom lamps to make a more pleasant ambience. Warm white options might be generally better. Kitchenette functional but the toaster is too small for handcut bread or crumpets. If there were 4 people, the kettle is too small (and seemed to leak). A small upgrade in the kitchen generally could make a real difference though. A reflector strip or even a metal edge on the step into the living area would make it more visible. I was being careful generally because of the uneven floor levels but still managed to turn my ankle and fall (I do have some minor mobility issues but I think it could happen anyway).

The location is excellent/very walkable to all things in town as well as the walking tracks and paths. The host was also very helpful and provided a nice compendium and shared useful tips.

Bathroom shower water went all over the bathroom floor. No soap in the shower. Property a bit tired.

Location was excellent. Easy communication how to get the code with the key lock at the front door. The Gaol house was roomy.

The open fire did not generate much heat and the wall heater did not work properly. In the lounge room I would suggest getting rid of the chair which was quiet uncomfortable and put in another two seater couch

we liked everything about the cottage, lovely and cosy, everything worked, lovely spot, easy to walk to shopping and around the beach. Beds were comfortable. would recommend this to all my friends if they were looking for a place to stay in Bicheno
