tamien hostel refused tomlet me into the property after I had booked with booking .com my African American friend phoned them to ask for directions when I was going there the lady was so rude she was asking too many questions on phone I believe they are racist as we were not whitecaps expected
she asked me my name she asked me how long I was staying she asked me if I was paying by cash and if I came from booking .com all these was over the phone later she hung up the phone and said she was going for lunch
later when a passerby gave me directions to the property she was she refused to let me in
I rang the bell several times she did not open the gate I was so shocked for such discriminating behaviour as fast as I know the hostel is managed by racist staffs who don't want a black person

This is a hostel....Kind, Accommodating, & Friendly Manager, Michael, I believe is his name. Timen House is a hostel, bit on the hippie side living. Lots of cigarette smokers. 420 and alcohol friendly. Good for short term stay. There is a friendly, skinny female cat that stays outside but loves to be pet.
Pomegranates growing inside the patio court.
Washer/dryer $2.50 and $1.00 Dry may eat your Qrtrs. So insert quarters carefully push in and quickly press start.
Fast food, donuts, liquor store, and CVS within walking distance.
They provide their own sheets, blankets, & pillows for as long as you stay.
Not a hotel-level of cleanliness.
No one wears masks.

Comfortable, clean, quiet and very reasonably priced. Owners are very nice. It's a beautiful place and the roommates are very welcoming as well.
Parking is difficult as you have to park on the street. There is no parking on the property. As a disabled patron that was a little hard because I would have to walk to the property from 4 blocks which was the furthest that I had to park. Other than that I really liked this place.
