The location is superb. Quiet. Only a few minutes drive from Arrowtown. Surrounded by rugged peaks. Super spa pool. Friendly sheep... well really only interested in eating bread.

The beds were way too soft.

We have stayed here quite a few times now, always in the King studio. Some places you always feel at home in and for us, this is one of them. The studio is a good size with plenty of room to spread out with a large comfortable bed and sofa. The kitchen is adequately equipped with a large fridge freezer, so no problems keeping your wine cool! There is a quiet area to sit outside the studio and a large spa bath for guests which is always hot and always clean. An added bonus is a washing machine which is available for guests to use.

Flexibility to allow access additional room due to the skylight in main quarters, we weren't able to get our toddler to sleep. Feeding the sheep was fun for our toddler. Close to ski field. Close to Arrowtown. Amazing space for kids to enjoy themselves outside.

Great location, very well run, spotless. All necessities catered for.

TV stopped working one evening, possibly reception/atmospheric issues, was working following morning. No Sky Movies which seems “cheap” when there were other channels but not the movies. It can get cold so make sure to be aware of spare blankets in cupboard.

Lovely roomy apartment. Sky TV was a bonus. Great bathroom and kitchen . Nice gardens.

We stayed in the Barn. It was the only unit being occupied while we were there. It is across a large lawn from the other units, so would be peaceful any time. It was in a lovely setting and was comfortable. The unit was spacious and clean. Plenty of room for the car to park right outside. We were amazed at the number of rabbits who were out in the open in the early mornings and evenings. (The owners probably wish they weren't there!)

The shower arrangement was a bit Mickey Mouse. I can't understand why they tried to insist on a "no shoes inside" policy in summer? We weren't about to bring mud into the unit. It was a big enough unit to have a full sized oven and top, but didn't.

Room (king apartment) was spacious. Clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Views of the garden and hills. Spa (shared) was a lovely bonus. Within very easy driving distance to Arrowtown.

Although situated back from the road, there is traffic noise from around 5am (quiet during the night). We were there when there were few other guests. Had there been others, we would have been concerned for our privacy - windows looked out to the car park for the main house. May not be a concern for others.

probably would have liked more staff around. But we enjoyed being away from big cities.
