Very tasty coffee, good scrambled eggs. Pet friendly!

Cigarettes smoke smell in the room, the circus and the new buolding in front ruoned the view from balcony, from circus was aditional noise.. after these 2nights we went to Ibis hotel same town for same price which was comfier beds, good smell, big good breakfast, and swiming pool included for same price…

This stay was already our tenth in Oberža pod Róža. We were last accommodated here in October 2019. We were very surprised how the hotel has grown since then. We got fantastic pizzas. Ten years ago, we met the Italian chef Luigi in the restaurant, who seems to have left a significant mark here.

At first glance, the room is very nice, fragrant, with a beautiful carpet. Unfortunately, only at first glance. A shower splashes into the WC area. The absence of a bathmat will make it impossible to eliminate it. There is no toilet paper holder. The paper you can place either on the wet floor or on the sink counter. However, the water tap is located outside the sink, so if you put the toilet paper in the only free space next to the sink, which is only directly under the faucet, you make the paper wet once closing the faucet. In the corridor to the room there is no niche with hooks where to hang jacket or trousers. The only place to use is a cupboard, but it is located in a niche behind the bed, to which leads a gap of about 15 cm. So, how do you get there? OMG, who designed this??? We missed bedside lamps on the night tables. Another unpleasant moment was when we wanted to wash our hands upon arrival and found that there was no soap either at the sink or in the shower. Both dispensers were empty. And the last joke - the tea and coffee making facilities without tea and coffee doesn´t make sense, isn´t it? The waitress in the restaurant was quite nice. She brought us two beers, two Zubrovka and two ordered and excellent pizzas. But then she lost all interest in us at all, and disappeared who the hell knows where. When we finished eating and drinking, we wanted to order more and celebrate our granddaughter's admission to high school in the restaurant. However, we were unlucky. There was no one to order from. So we waited for about half an hour to at least clear our bill, but nobody was in the restaurant, in which we were left alone around 6:00 p.m. So we left without paying to the room and didn't come back to pay until around 9pm. We wanted to spend a lot of money here, but we weren't allowed to. Unfortunately, a hotel that has the potential to be a fantastic place to stay seems to have very poor management, which is a huge shame.

Little cold in room

Room was pretty standard, but had great balcony. Beds are comfortable, but pillows were too thin. Private free parking, Wi-Fi, small kettle, two water bottles for free.

To get to the hotel rooms you have to pass all the way through a restaurant with all your suitcases. Thin walls, you hear people snoring in the next room. Just one chair for two people. Only one towel per person. Better stay away from the restaurant: burger was not bad, but pizza was truly a nightmare. And wine is so expensive, it's ridiculous!

Resturant served me chicken plate with not full cocked chicken i returned twice to kitchen.

I liked the location of the hotel & the beautiful view from my window.

I didnt like the fact that there is no refrigerator in the room. I believe every room should have a small refrigerator in each room. Also the website says there is “laundry services” available. There isn’t !!
