The hotel has a cute vibe going in the cottages and around the pool area. The cottage was well equipped with a very comfortable bed and sheets and plenty of furniture. Some areas are a bit run down as everywhere in Bali. The beach is not suitable for swimming I feel like this should be mentioned for people who don't have available transport It can get noisy from the nearby street NO DRINKING WATER REFILL! Shocking for a hotel of this rating and a first place in Bali where this was not an option. They do provide 2 bottles of water a day but that's about it.

It is well located, close to many eateries and bars. Pool area is spacious. The staff are amazing. Very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be staying there again.

The location and the surrounding is great, it's near to the beach and we stay beside the lotus pond, it's a total win. The pool are really great and instagrammable.

The staff's internal communication is a bit slow, the receptionist is not a problem solver and answering fast just to keep us quiet. For every problem scenario we brought to her, she's just say sorry and there's nothing that they can do, so yeah, that's it.

Doesn’t have direct beach access and is sometimes a little bit open. The layout of villas. But still ok very well worth a visit !!

I love everything about this place. It is strategically located in Candidasa, everything (food, supermarket etc) is just within walking distance. Even if you don’t go out they have a nice restaurant and bar to have eat and drink. The swimming pool was fantastic, huge outdoor area, and the room was spacious and comfy. Staffs were helpful. I would definitely consider staying again

The Forty Eight has been our "home" for many years when we holiday We were really looking forward to returning, however, DONT book the family room.....karaoke at a nearby business is REALLY BAD AND NOISY. Can go until 2.30am. If this happens, complain, complain, complain Otherwise value for money

The bedrooms were spacious and clean; staff was very nice and the swimming pool area was amazing!

There is no real beach nearby; just very small ones that are quite dirty with trash from the sea. There was a cock singing from 3am, so that was quite annoying. The restaurant food is good quality but the quantity is really small for the high prices.

Great location, helpful staff, loved the large swimming pool, and immaculately presented grounds.

Chalets looking a bit tired but that didn't reflect on the comfort.

lovely place, not many rooms means not many people which I love, pool is great, close to Lotus Pond and beach. beds are extremely comfortable and food is good.

I like it all it’s great for a relaxing break

The bungalows were great. Comfortable beds and pillows. Tea and coffee making facilities was very handy. Bathroom is large with rainfall shower head. Each bungalow has a small outdoor seating area. The pool is very clean. There are individual covered bales with mattress and cushions which are much more comfortable than a sun-lounge and umbrella. Restaurant looks over the lotus pond and has table seating and lounges for more relaxed dining.

There was an outdoor shower attached to the bathroom but there was alot of dead foliage on the plants which had grown over any view of the sky so no feeling of outdoors. Many of the furnishings were vinyl covered which is probably good for cleaning but is sweaty and sticky in the heat. The menu included a vegan section but the staff said the yoghurt was made of milk and there were no alternatives to dairy milk.
