everything the other reviews said was true, it was very bad :( I usually don’t trust too much bad reviews, but this time it was just as they described

The location is close to the city centre and a walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the water front...

The entire building is literally rotting away... Entire sections of the ceiling above my bed were so badly molded that it is caving in. The levels of mildew are so bad that it's literally difficult to breath. The beds were incredibly dilapidated, and bedding clearly not cleaned properly (I used my own liner)... I tried asking for a different room, but the one they showed me was even worse.... The shower room was literally blackened, floors and walls leaking, and with an overbearing stench.... Elsewhere, there is a lobby, but unfortunately only one fan, so if you aren't lucky you will be sweating within minutes of trying to sit and 'relax' in this hot box. The kitchen had blocked sinks and pots with unused foods lying around for days... The WiFi didn't reach many parts of the hostel, including my room.... Other than one member of staff who tried his best, no one else has even pretended to make an effort at speaking any language other than Portuguese (I speak five...)

The location, the price

The common spaces were not very comfortable, and the cleanliness is an issue too.

The staff are great

Location was good. Safe place.
